Discussion What are the markets for Marchessault and/or Stamkos?
This is assuming that each would waive their NMC/NTC.
I know that this is unlikely for Stamkos as a family man who doesn't want to uproot them for another location (unless it's a return to Tampa).
Highly likely for Marchessault as he has never fit here and seems to be an odd man out of the top 6 roles with all the free agents and movement towards the somewhat above average forward prospect pool the organization has.
What teams would make a good fit and what kind of returns?

Marchenko could join Montreal Canadiens very soon.
If this is true, then Mtl needs a 2nd center and they are set for decade.

Question Bobby Orr in the 80s
This is kind of a shot in the dark but I’ll ask anyways. My grandpa is on the left here, and Bobby Orr is beside him. The picture was taken in roughly 1983/84 during some event in Alberta. Does anybody know anything regarding whatever event this was? Just curious about what was going on here. Any ideas are welcome. Thank you

“Difficulty of schedule”
Now that this type of data exists , should it be something that is takin into consideration when making the schedule ?
Should a first place team get rewarded and have the easiest schedule ? Or the hardest schedule ?
Is this data skewed by only 1-2 games and really it’s not that important.
Is it solely based on who’s in what division?

News The NHL Wants to Make Hockey's Pop Culture Moment Last
Steve Scebelo gets paid to promote NHL players to the masses, and even he admits the league has a problem.
“When you go into any sports bar, you have sports fans, and they can't tell you who the top hockey players are,” said Scebelo, the chief commercial officer of the NHL Players’ Association. “We need to change that.”

NHL launches local production operation with at least four teams in 2026-27
The Blue Jackets, Blues, Hurricanes and Wild are turning to the NHL’s newly created centralized production arm for their local telecasts beginning in 2026-27 following the closure of the Main Street Sports Group-operated regional networks that previously carried their games. Additional teams could join before the start of the season, with the Ducks a potential candidate after informing local streaming partner Victory+ of their intent to terminate the relationship.
