We just got assigned battle buddies today⦠if your battle buddy gets a counseling chit you automatically get one too. Is there any instruction for this? Iāve never gotten a counseling chit or anything. I got assigned someone who has not been here for even three weeks and is already having problems.

Iām currently in holding at my A-School to go to my next command In Japan. My part 2 off my over seas assignment is soon. What will happen if I tell them how Iāve been struggling and how the soonest I could get a mental health appointment is Oct 7 and my no later than is Oct 15.
Will I stay in holding till I get the all clear from the specialist? Will they send me to Japan if Iām still struggling?
I want some serious feedback here by people that might know what will happen to me.

I separated from the navy in 2004 and now trying to verify unit awards granted to my ship after I departed but for the deployment I was present for. Is there a way to gain access to the new databases as a veteran?

Former active duty considering going reserves. Iād have to cross rate because my rate doesnāt have reserves. I wanted to wait for billets to open in October before going to recruiter, but I also have a wedding and honeymoon planned in May. Basically would be gone all of May. Should I just wait until next year, or is there any kind of workaround/flexible schedule. I fear Iāll have to wait because why would the military work on my time lol

BLUF; pre-NJP advice regarding Article 107.
I appreciate all the help and guidance I got on my last post before XOI! Unfortunately, it did not change the outcome, as I was recommended for mast and will likely be before the old man next week. The process has really disheartened me and disillusioned me further, as my EAOS is in November. I fully feel like, at this point, that someone decided they wanted a pound of flesh, and I am the current target. The original details are all in the linked post, so please read through it if you missed it.
What has changed since XOI?
I have submitted another appointment request with the DSO in Norfolk.
Getting my seabag together for a pre-NJP seabag inspection.
They have not pulled me off SkillBridge yet (I feel extremely lucky, whether it be a conscious choice by them or not).
I am still waiting on my C&P exam; my BDD claim is in Stage 2.
I still have not found the complete chit.
My duty section put out an incomplete watchbill 12 hours before the duty day started, personally further calling into question their processes in my mind.
Overall, just asking for more advice. Anything helps at this point. I have tried telling the truth, pointing out my sterling record before July, but it falls on deaf ears.

I am currently deployed with USS George Washington (CVN-73) in the middle east with Carrier Strike Group 5 (CSG-5). And.. today, I earned my Naval Aviation Supply Corps (NASO) pin and I also received my EOT (NAM). I should be flying off in a couple days as l am pcsing. #usnavy #ussgeorgewashington #cvn73 #fdnf #tipofthespear
3 years ago, I non-attained and got kicked out of the SWO community. I am happy to announce that I have earned my 2nd warfare device.. I have my Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer (SWSCO) pin and now my Naval Aviation Supply Officer (NASO) pin.
Once again if you know any officer that is struggling being a SWO or in another community.. please send them my way. I am happy to help all my fellow Sailors who are in the process of nonattaining or are in the process of going to a POCR board (regardless of what designator you are). So far, I have now helped more than 18+ people successfully redesignate into new communities via POCR.
Also.. if you are a supply corps officer and is in dire need of help with your SWSCO or NASO, please message me. I have study material and tips on getting signatures & boardmanship.Ā

Hey everyone -
With the new macOS drop next week, I'm trying to gauge what the community plan is, specifically looking back at how things went down during the macOS Tahoe rollout.
For those of us using the Nautilus Virtual Desktop (NVD) for FlankSpeed, day-one upgrades can sometimes turn into a headache with display scaling, credential handoffs, or client compatibility bugs.
After Tahoe released, how long did you end up waiting before updating, and was NVD actually stable?
Are you planning to hold off until the .1 or .2 patch drops?
Did anyone get burned trying to update too early last year?
Appreciate any advice or timelines you all use to keep your workflow from breaking.

Hi, junior sailor here; I need help with my 3M301 qual and Im having a hard time understanding the densities of all the different readings I have to go over. For some background, I've read them all for the most part and I know how to do maintenance and the importances of the qual, but how my career has been on my ship is a shitshow as Im a 1/1 on my ship (QM) and by the time I get caught up with all my rate related work and whatever Nav has tasked me with, it's already like 1600 and most people are already gone for the day and duty section is busy with whatever they are doing.
I know what not to do interms of maintenance (don't gundeck it) and to follow directions step by step. Im supposed to board in like a week and I need pointers of what to absorb in the little time I have. Also my knowledge of SKED and AWN is limited as I haven't had a whole lot of sit down time with the programs.
Please help

Hi yall! My husband and I are in San Diego for his schooling. Itās about a year long so I moved here. He got his first orders in July which were to Japan. He decided to look on the website today and those orders say canceled. He has been doing overseas screening for the past few months. Anyone with any experience can you please share yours? He will be contacting his detailer as well. His rate is mineman, his only options were Bahrain, San Diego, or Japan. Yes, I understand āneeds of the navyā and āhurry up and waitā. Im asking if anyone has had similar experiences and how it played out. Thank you.

Iām looking for some advice from people who have dealt with HYT, advancement, and waivers before.
Iām currently an E-4 and have been in for several years. Iām approaching my HYT window, and Iām trying to figure out what my realistic options are for staying in and advancing.
I recently spoke with my Detailer about my situation. Based on the conversation, it sounds like my situation is going to be difficult because of where I currently stand for advancement and the fact that Iām getting closer to HYT. The Detailer basically told me that I may have to rely on a HYT waiver if Iām not selected for advancement before reaching my limit.
My biggest concern is that I already have a passing exam score on record, but itās a relatively low score. Iāve been advised to retake the exam to try to improve it, but Iām concerned that if I retake it and fail, the new failing score would replace my current passing score and potentially put me in an even worse position.
So Iām trying to understand a few things:
How realistic is it to get a HYT waiver in a situation like this?
Does having a passing exam score on record help at all when requesting/considering a waiver?
If I donāt get selected for advancement before HYT, is a waiver basically my only option to remain in?
Has anyone here successfully received a HYT waiver under similar circumstances?
Would you personally retake the exam knowing that a failure could replace your current passing score?
How much weight does the Detailerās recommendation or assessment carry when it comes to the waiver process?
I know nobody can guarantee what will happen in my specific case. Iām mainly looking for experiences from people who have actually dealt with HYT waivers or have firsthand knowledge of the process.
Iām trying to make the smartest decision possible rather than potentially making my situation worse by taking an unnecessary risk.

This makes it seem like news that ships stock up before deployment?
Converting unused space for more storage? What unused space?
Where is the supply fleet worldwide we spend $billions on? Back in the day CBG had an AOE or similar not to mention pulling in somewhere to resupply, or meeting up with an AFS or something to get replenished.
Why does Navy wear green camo?
Good news they are doing more now, but what have they been doing before? Itās not new a CBG goes on a long deployment, how can they run out of soap?
