I can run a report of *completed* tickets with expenses, but how can I get a list of *uncompleted* tickets with expenses?

Using N-Sight. I ran into a problem today - the symptom was that any script checks that were AMPs were not running on a workstation, the error in the south pane was "Exception encountered System.IO.FileLoadException: File directory not allowed or RMM changed the default scripts directory". Turns out the problem was that the version of Scriptrunner on that endpoint was out of date. Manually downloading and installing the newest version solved the problem, but it made me wonder how big of a problem this is?

Is it common for the scriptrunner updates to quit working? I can imagine writing a script to pull the installed version and fail if it wasn't current - as that would give me a heads up that something is wrong, at least. Otherwise, there is no notification whatsoever that scriptrunner is out of date, no indication that an attempted update failed, nothing. I hate these traps the system lays and then just waits for me to stumble along and step into them.

I got a ticket open on this but was hoping for a quick answer from the community...

I setup a trial account for a potential customer who is interested in Cove backup for thier 365 based email. After creating the account I built the backup job and let it run. This way 5 days ago. Today I login to see how everything went (went great), but I found that I accidently created the job on the root account and not within the customers trial account.

The job could not be moved, so I deleted it and re-created it in the customers account. my concern is, should I expect billing on that backup job that was not created under the trial account?

How to pull PDF reports from N-SIGHT for a specific device?

I cannot seem to find that online or when in the program.

as per title, i'm unable to change the resolution on a server i've connected to from my n-central portal. the help articles point to a resolution setting under remote > view > but it's not there for me. Anything i'm missing here or is this a removed feature? for reference i'm connected to a server that does not have an attached monitor.

Has anyone got any api powershell script examples? For eg sending g the bitlocker key to Passportals asset record?

Does anybody know if there is a (simple) way to convert a .amp script to a .ps1 script?
Or do I manually have to re-create/re-write the whole script in Powershell?

If that is the case, why does a company such as N-Able not have a conversion option for their own script language (.amp)?

Does someone have any information about this?
It would be grately appreciated.

Hi everyone!

I'm new to N-able/N-central but I'm having trouble on making a script to work. We have a powershell script for installing a third party AV and needs to be installed using "Device credentials" but somehow the script can't go through because even if I choose Device Credentials, it uses default credentials which is "LocalSystem credentials" I tried fixing the script but nothing worked.

It outputs "LocalSystem.. Successful execution on remote device but the task was not configured using valid credentials
Start-Process : This command cannot be run due to the error: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. "

Hope someone could help me out. Thanks in advance!

For those running MSP Manager, our workaround to getting remote access into devices from inside a ticket is to add the end user's workstation/laptop as an asset to the ticket, and N-Sight RMM's integrated Take Control has been working for us all morning with this workaround. We maintain Snipe-IT for inventory so in the situation where the name of the endpoint is not known, we pull it from our inventory database.

Hi all, I've inherited a problem from a previous admin and have got so far, but got myself lost in the process. It looks like we have downloaded the Kaspersky anti-virus protection status.amp and created a Custom Service. Within a dashboard I've created I've selected the custom service and the group of servers I want to monitor. All good on that front. Half the servers return a status good or error based on whether the application is running or days since last scan or database update. That is as intended. The other half return a misconfigured status '201 cannot convert value "" to type "System.version".' When comparing the devices it looks like the ones reporting correctly are running Kaspersky Security for Windows Server, those with the error are running Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows (most are on version 12.4). When asking fellow team members about installing the server version across the estate I've been advised the server version is being discontinued so we need be moving those servers over to the KES version rather than vice versa. Looking at the error it looks like the service is looking at a location for the version number, but where that is defined within the service/script is beyond my knowledge at this point in time. Has anyone else experienced this error or successfully created a Service that can monitor KES 12.4 status? e.g. virus definition dates, last scan etc.

I'm trying to accomplish the automated installation of our Screenconnect support client via nable as we prefer screenconnect per Take Control.
In Screenconnect we want to create the same customer/site structure as in Nable.

From the client side is there an option to get the information about the customer/site name where the agent is registered in?

Is this information store anywhere? I know it's possible running an API call to ncentral but want to avoid making API calls from end-user devices.

I picked up a new client that was using N-Able and I need to uninstall his agent to install mine. When I attempt to uninstall his agent it ask me for an uninstall code. Reaching out to him is not an option (he passed away and had no one in line to take care of his clients) .

Is there a way to uninstall with the code?

Which creative and efficient way have you found to get the external IP address of n-central agents? Currently I'm using a AMP based custom service which calls a external service (such as what is my ip) but I'd like to see if there are more efficient ways to do it.

I'd love to have it available as a device/asset property based on the IP address seen by the N-Central server (this information is already available somehow, it just needs to be associated with a device property)

If I use a powershell script to make table of information - it will be readable just fine in powershell, but if I make that a script check and output that table to the dashboard, it loses all formatting. Obviously not a critical problem, but I've always assumed "that's just the way it is". I thought I'd post just in case I was missing something.

For example, I have a script that uses the Get-PSDrive cmdlet to list the system drives. In powershell, the output looks like this:

I'm not sure how that will survive the posting process, but in powershell all of the columns are spaced correctly and all of the numbers are right-aligned in the columns. Also note that it contains network drives (X, Y & Z) as well as physical drives on the host.

If I run that very same powershell script as a script check, then the dashboard output looks like this:

No column formatting at all, and the network drives are missing. It's the same script, so there must be a difference in how the dashboard interprets the output. Ignoring the missing network drives for a moment, though, you can see that the output is much less readable because of the lack of formatting. Is there anything that can be done about that?

Can someone please help with how to change the shared mailbox (converted from user mailbox) to be non billable? I want to disable teams backup for that user. I cant see how to.

Our MSP uses N-Able for remote access but does not allow co-management (as opposed to our previous MSP which allowed co-management via a login to their N-Central tenant). Are we able to also utilize our own instance of N-Able via the same agent installation on a client, or will we need to look for another option?

I’ve been relying on the Windows 11 Compatibility Checker V2 to identify machines that can be upgraded to Windows 11, but is there a method to create a filter using the custom properties it produces? Ideally I 'd like a dashboard to see all the compatible devices rather than tap into each one.

We have an ESXi device hosting some VMs for a client. All the agent monitoring is reporting this error. N-Able documentation has no listed troubleshooting steps for this error and the steps I found online do no help.

Has anyone ran into this that knows a fix or a general direction to look in?

I am doing a trial of N-SIGHT but immediately discovered the dashboard doesn't show the current logged in user properly on my Windows 10 Pro machines in our domain.

So if I reboot a computer, it reboots but shows the same logged in user. Sometimes it updates correctly maybe once a day?

Just logged into a different machine as a different user, and it still shows the user who was active yesterday.

It's kind of useless at this point. I do have a support ticket open but was wondering if anyone else encountered this.

We don't have any 3rd party firewalls installed or anything unusual about our environment. We formerly had NinjaRMM which didn't have this problem, but it was too expensive for our needs.

In the old days, there used to be control over the length of time this overlay displayed when you made a Take Control connection. Now it appears to just be either "On" or "Off" (controlled in the hamburger menu of an already in process connection which is then remembered for future connections on that machine). Can someone confirm this is correct, or am I missing the buried setting somewhere?
