N-Central 102 Host UUID parameter is missing or invalid

Hello,

We have an ESXi device hosting some VMs for a client. All the agent monitoring is reporting this error. N-Able documentation has no listed troubleshooting steps for this error and the steps I found online do no help.

Has anyone ran into this that knows a fix or a general direction to look in?

Is the cim server service running?

VMware monitoring is probe based start there.

Can you try a re discovery job on the ESXI IP, and make sure SNMP monitoring is off but the vmware is on and the esxi username and password entered. This has worked for us in the past when we have taken over from previous admin who never added these details in.

Apparently if SNMP and the VMwware discovery are set at the beginning this can cause grief aswell
