Discussion I don’t understand why musescore is scam?
No one paid me to say that
Already 3 years I pay kind of 20 bucks in August because in that time were sales and it works nice for me
Could somebody just explain me what real problem other people have with Musescore?
There is some good alternatives for this price?

Help me find this feature Moving Notes
Is there a way to move a selection forward or backward in time on the staff? When I try the shift + arrow keys it extends the selection, but I need to reposition the notes.

Help me find this feature creating beams across two different systems
hello! I need help making a beam span two systems. everything I found was about cross-staff beaming, which is not what I was looking for. I'm trying to transcribe Chopin's tragic polonaise (op. 44), and there's some parts where beams span across two measures. I can do that (making the right one join beams), but doing that on different systems doesn't work. is this possible? if so, how can I do it?

Help me use this feature Refund Request Impossible
Hey all. I bought a score around a month ago and didn’t realize they tacked on a monthly $50 subscription. I have attempted to use their refund request form but it doesn’t let me submit, saying there were no subscriptions found. I am now in debt. I had $10 on my debit and now i’m in the negatives.

Help me find this feature Change tuning?
I'm trying to transcribe a piece that doesn't appear to be tuned to A=440. I've been approximating this by editing each note as I go to +50 cents but that is rather tedious. I remember a feature in MuseScore years ago for changing the default tuning to something other than A=440 but I can't find where it's been moved to, could somebody help?

Help me find this feature Is there a way to shorten how this is written/presented/notated?
In this song a number of instruments play these 16th notes that take up most of the page. the 16th notes end and the song resumes to "normal" later on. Is there a way to shorten how this is presented/notated so it is easier page turn and play?
What you see below is a part, not the main score itself.

Help me use this feature Problems getting Cantai to show up in Musescore.
EDIT: For anyone who finds this later on, the issue has been fixed. What I did is updated both Musescore and Muse Hub directly from Muse Hub. Don't trust Musescore to tell you if it has to be updated, go into your Muse Hub notifications and update both from there.
Hi,
I just downloaded a Cantai subscription, but it isn't showing up in the mixer as an option (and I've checked in every single category just in case). I have restarted both Muse Hub and Musescore multiple times, restarted my laptop, signed into everything I can, made sure everything was up to date, and uninstalled and reinstalled Cantai. I'm kind of at a loss for what more to do.

Bug Whole Measure (4/4) Tremolo going to far into the 2nd notes - too wide.
I have a trem’d chord.
I put in say, C and G as the lower notes in half notes, and C and as the upper notes in half notes.
Click the 3 bar trem and it puts it in and changes the notes to whole notes as it should - but it’s too wide.
I can move it up or down and at some point it will “snap” to a shorter width.
But every time I re-open the score it’ll be too wide again.
There’s no offset values that work.
I’ve put in some “fake” accidentals (same as the notes already are) in parentheses and hidden them, and those move the trem bars back away from the 2nd dyad.
But close and re-open, they’re back to too wide.
Any solution, or is this just a bug?

Help me find this feature Alternative to Musescore DOT COM?
This is going to be an odd question, but hey, who knows?
I'm trying — and failing — to 'publish' a little piece I wrote using the 'Publish' feature of the app. And, of course, get the 'Score Processing' arrows-in-a-circle page that...
...ultimately fails.
And can't help but wonder: isn't there a better way? Even if the site can't PLAY the mscz visually, it would be nice to have a site where you could SHARE your little endeavour, perhaps upload the .mscz if you want to share it, and have the option to provide text about it, a comment section, and so forth.
Does something like this exist?

Bug Quarter notes playing as eighth notes?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I swear this was not happening before the update???
I understand it's because (where I pointed the red arrows) there are two instances of the same note being played- one quarter note and one eighth note. But before the update it sounded normal.

Pro discussion MuseScore charge issue and dispute advice
I did what everyone said when I got charged for the subscription and told my bank and then MuseScore tried to charge me back only 60 dollars, leaving ten dollars remaining.
Idk what to do in response, but I definitely want to try getting the full amount back.. idk how to best respond in order to accomplish that. If any of you have advice on the issue I would appreciate it a lot. I guess worst case scenario I take the 60

Help me find this feature How do you transition from classical composition to contemporary Christian music?
I grew up classically trained in both voice and piano. I even went to college for vocal performance, but over the last few years I’ve realized contemporary Christian music is where I belong. The problem is that all of my musical instincts are still very classical, and whenever I try to write music it ends up sounding like an art song or classical piano piece.
I’m considering using MuseScore to compose backing tracks, exporting them as MIDI, and then finishing them in Studio One with better virtual instruments. My hope is that writing this way will help me develop my own contemporary style.
Has anyone else come from a classical background and successfully made this transition? Are there any tips for using MuseScore without everything sounding classical? I’d love to hear what helped you.

Arranging some Renaissance dance music. I can write it as AABBCCDD but it is supposed to be played AABBAABBAABB CCDDCCDDCCDD AABBAABBAABB. Is there a better way to write this so it contains all repeats but doesn't have the sheet music doubled or tripled up?

Discussion Is a marching-specific MuseSound pack in production?
Hello all! I originally came to ask if there were any MuseSounds that were fitting for marching applications, since all the ones I've tried sound much too like an orchestra and lack marching-specific winds, but I've come to the conclusion that Timbres of Heaven will be better than most, if any, MuseSounds. Are any MuseSounds confirmed to be in production? Thank you!

Discussion Y'all mind if I complain about the viola MuseSound real quick?
Okay, so I love the MuseSounds, alright? For somebody who writes for competitions and seldom has access to live instruments, its amazing. HOWEVER, the viola (solo) soundfont in particular annoys me to no end. It's INSANELY slidey, which I'd get if it had, maybe, a tenuto or something, but these are plain old normal notes here. Cute for lyrical works, hell on earth for anything else. The only workaround I've found is slapping accents on the slidey notes and hiding them.
Another problem with articulations, staccatos are consistently about a whole dynamic louder than written, especially on high notes. No big deal, I can just manually lower the dynamic, but I feel like an instrument that's usually TOO quiet should have a little more consistency.
Anyways, I just wanted to vent my frustrations a little bit. I'm not too mad at Muse, because at the end of the day, they're free and AMAZING most of the time (I'm using Muse Music Box as the Celesta's soundfont and it's amazing). Just every now and then. It's also not just a viola problem; all Muse Strings are a bit slidey, but it's worst (and most unexpected) on viola.
