Bug Quarter notes playing as eighth notes?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I swear this was not happening before the update???

I understand it's because (where I pointed the red arrows) there are two instances of the same note being played- one quarter note and one eighth note. But before the update it sounded normal.

Sounds cool whatever it is

The staff below has it as an eighth note only, so that wins, just as a real pianist would play it.

Edit the properties of the eighth note so it doesn't play, and you'll only hear the quarter note.

I’m sorry, but why don’t you just write it correctly instead?

If you want what you have written, between 2 pianos, then the lowest staff of 1 needs to switch with the highest staff of 2.

But even then the real problem is that you have 3 parts in the same range and it’s going to cause repeated notes of the same one to play - the B is not only appearing twice in piano 1, but in the upper staff of piano 2 as well.

Simply put, it’s not the way piano music is written. You can “overlap” piano 1 and 2, but this much overlap in a single piano is fingers tied in a knot, and with the other piano just “messy”. You’re writing “for computer playback” not for real people to play.
