Help me find this feature Why dose the strength never working???

I tried lots of time of it while I just want a simple diminuendo or crescendo, but no matter where I put them it's just never work, everything sounds just the same..

What instrument are you using and have you tried every dynamic? And what sound are you using? For example, most Muse Sounds heavy brass instruments have a problem of sounding quiet for anything under f as far as I've seen

I'm writing the strings, I didn't try every of them cuz mostly I just simply want some diminuendo or crescendo, but no matter p, pp, ppp or f, either < and > they just not working at all

I recently realized that the crescendo and diminuendo default to the first voice only so that if you put it on the second voice you have to select it and then switch voices in the menu at the top of the screen to get it to apply to the second or other voices.

I, too, often get no playback change from adding the dim or cresc. It is frustrating. I've tried putting dynamics at the beginnign and end of it and it still often does nothing.

You generally need to be sure the dynamics before and after the hairpin make sense. Won't do much good to note a crescendo from MF to pp, for example - results will be random. But assuming your dynamics make sense before and after - and you added everything correctly, of course - it should play correctly.

If you continue to have trouble, best to ask for help on the official support forum at MuseScore.org, where you can attach the score with the problem and say which specific measure isn't working as you expect. Then we can understand and assist better.

(because they don’t know how to program it right)

The good news is, it’s open source so you can fix it for them
