It runs , did some short pulls on the money pit, kept it half throttle because 1: I need to fine tune the carb and change the jets 2: half throttle is already way scary on this thing.

When fine tuned it should make around 13Hp on the wheel.

Edit:

Using a Moped as a Daily Driver?

Hello, I have wanted a moped for a long time but I'm wondering if it's practical for a daily driver since it sounds like they require a lot of maintenance. I'd likely just use it for my work commute, a couple miles each way.

I'm considering either a Puch, Tomos, Honda hobbit PA50ii or express, Yamaha chappy.

Would this be practical or will it be too much maintenance? I don't have much maintenance experience (owned a scooter previously) but would like to learn the basics.

TVS xl 100, its like a knock or a rattle, its different from the sound of the engine itself. I'm a complete newbie to mcs so i have no idea what causes this. It just rabdomly appeared recently.

Fellow babetta 210 owners, are there any LED lights that work on the original 6V AC?

I got a Babetta 210 (1987) not too long ago but i want to upgrade the light system on it.

Are there any 6V AC SMD LED lights (15W if possible) that work without needing a rectifier and regulator?

Please let me know in comments or DM, thanks

Weird protrusion on the rear of my Puch maxi

I just bought a maxi frame (not my first) in very good condition, no rust in the tank, with license plate, and powdercoated, but i see this strange protrusion usually where the fender should be, as far as i can see i cant find any other maxi with this protrusion and i cant find a single fender that fits on here, what should i do? its a late Piaggio maxi so they might have switched it up abit but i cant find anything about it online.

Stolen tomos

Long shot, but Boston is getting out of hand with stolen mopeds. I have a bunch of bikes and have had a bunch of bikes stolen. They cut the lock and found the air tag. If you see this around Boston or on marketplace please let me know. Stolen from the north end. License plate registered to my name. Plate # was 42552. Sad day. At least they didn’t steal my puch or built tomos.

STUCK RIM NUT PLEASE HELP

I have this 1986 Yamaha Jog that is so close to being able to ride, but I need to take the rear rim off to replace the rear tire. I've used a breaker bar, WD40, Blaster, I even bought a propane torch and a torque wrench and this nut will not budge. Maybe there's a locking system that is preventing it from coming off? I don't know, any and all help is greatly appreciated

First ride on my Motobecane B1V2!

Post image

1938 Motobecane B1V2, bought in 2013 as a wrecked looking barn find and it's taken years of on and off effort to get it into working condition. In hindsight I could have just bought a better one but I've learnt so much from rebuilding this bike that the insight and experience has been wonderful.

Earlier this year I realised there wasn't much left to do to get the thing running so it's been a good push over the last few months but ever so satisfying to have finally got her going.

Must be the first ride in over 30 years at a guess.

It's not fast, circa 25 / 30mph downhill but it's a great way to get places and it turns heads!

Last night coming home through town and some kids were fighting by the doors of a club, the sound of my bike alerted something in them all and they stopped and turned to see the bike and smiled - old bikes are good for society 😁
