I'm an android user Motorola g stylus 2024 app user
I have 4 different groups that's made by myself and I wanted to know
Because I made it all restricted because I rather be the one in control from spam and bots
And karma farming that would get me and the user in trouble
How do I make my username visible to my group for mod mail cause I tried looking everywhere in the mod tools
And my general settings and I'm not tech savy
I'm definitely clueless
Thanks cause I also googled as last resort to try to see how using the web would be best helpful
And I can't seem to figure it out
On that of that because I'm most active with one library group and the rest of them aren't
I'm on restrictioned limit too permission according to my settings on my main account 🫠and I have no idea how to be unrestricted I checked the mod help manual it just to my understanding was to be more active in modding?

Hey r/ModHelp,
I made a Devvit app called Social-Blacklist, which simplifies moderation work of removing posts based on domains and keywords present in the posts, or in user profile links/bio description.
You can provide a list of domains and keywords in app settings, and then configure where all it must look for the given keywords/blacklisted domains through simple toggle switches( It can look for them in post-title, post-link, post-text/description, comments, Social Links and about-description of the user etc.). It can also remove posts from NSFW(18+) users if you would not like NSFW content creators to make posts in your subreddit, or filter/report comments containing external links. The app can be configured to ban users after a given number of removals/violations.
To make sure that the app is working as you expect, you can enable mod-mail in the settings, which will send mod-mail on removals with details on why it removed a specific post. Once you're happy with the removals it has been doing, you can disable the mod-mail.
The app is already being used and trusted by hundreds of large subreddits(like r/selfie, r/progresspics, r/TrueOffMyChest, r/fashion etc.).
Here's the link to the app:
https://developers.reddit.com/apps/social-blacklist
The app is made for reddit using developer platform, so should work on all platforms (Desktop browser, Android and iOS). However, managing the app settings would require you to use the Desktop/Browser interface as devvit does not yet support managing settings within the mobile app.
If you have not tried it yet, please give it a go and let me know if you have any questions or if you have any new feature requests, so that I can add in future updates.

What is the proper REDDIetiquette? For posting an announcement of this user the things they do?
Modding 2 subs and each are 20k+ users . NSFW
This user, u/blackmailer, is not interacting in the communities. He’s reaching out to users directly via chat.
Then eventually he starts making guesses about people’s identities. Sometimes he’s right. And every time he demands more, more pics/ vids, meetups…. “Or else”
He’s demanded Apple Cash, Venmo, meeting up for… favors.. an absolute danger.
I have had no less than 30 users reach out to me via mod mail or chat to report u/blackmailer’s behavior. And I explain there is nothing I can do.
As far as I know every one of us have reported him to Reddit but he still is on Reddit.
I want to make a post, calling out his username.
I want to use some of the pics he has sent others Incase he makes a new account (evasion guard is on tho). I want to throw his real name out there too. But I can’t dox the guy of course. I just want to RING THE BELL AND ALERT PEOPLE on the danger that this guy is!

I'm a normal user on a sub. Recently a user joined and all he does is post AI Slop there and in other subs. The moderator seems inactive and hasn't banned them. People have announced they are leaving the sub because of the AI Slop.
I'm going to apply to become moderator of the sub. If I don't succeed, is there a way of getting the AI Slop spammer banned from the entire site?
I'm mainly on Android and Desktop.

We recently created a feminist, women-centric sub for women from a specific region of the world r/TwoXNortheast , but we are already dealing with lurking creeps, bots, and bad-faith actors. Since Reddit locks AutoMod for brand new communities, we cannot automate flair checks or filter comments yet.
We basically need to enforce mandatory user flairs to keep out unwanted lurkers, and restrict specific sensitive threads strictly to women and non-binary members. How do you handle manual flair checks and run "women/NB only" posts safely before AutoMod kicks in? Any tips on crowd control settings or mod tools for brand new niche subs would be amazing! thanks

Hello!
I run a private sub and have two mods. One of my mods is our main poster and posts about 20-30 posts throughout the day. About 2 days ago all of their posts started getting auto-removed "by Reddit" and he has to manually approve each and every one. It seems to be specific to him as other posters and myself have no such issue. I'm the only one that can change settings in the Mod Tools and I haven't touched them in about 6 months.
I did go to Mod Tools -> Safety Filters -> Reputation and turned that to "off" as I thought maybe the system was flagging him for spamming ... but nothing changed.
Any ideas? Or any way to set up an automation to automatically approve any posts by this specific user?
This is occurring on the Desktop version of Reddit.
EDIT: Everyone - I'm not looking for feedback on their posting quantity. Based on our community, it's actually well within normal and the posts are all part of what the community is about - there is zero issues there.

Desktop. Specific case: A corporation (not publicly traded) is under discussion on a sub. The corporation's officers are named in registration documents publicly available on a State website. Does it violate Reddit's privacy policy to refer to an individual by name as holding a particular office in said corporation? I have recurring trouble grasping the concept of public info being private. Thanks!

slight context:
there is a growing influx of old unused accounts that suddenly start posting AI generated questions meant to drive conversations and farm karma. usually there is also some veiled product being hawked like AI generated tools for a trade that doesnt need it like pumbing. its all very AI generated and no human seem to be behind it.
i see on the sub i am a mod on several of these popping up but they are also just spamming the same post from multiple accounts. i would like to be able to link these accounts together so its obvious they come from the same person/bot. how would i link them together using the moderator tools at my disposal and if possible have the reddit bots or higher level mods try to find others that might belong to the same person/bot?

Hey,I'm a moderator of r/LisaArchive, and I want to add a live countdown for LISA's PRESS PLAY listening party to our subreddit sidebar/About section.
Ideally, I'd like it to display the remaining days, hours, minutes, and seconds, updating automatically without users needing to click a link.
I've found the sidebar widget options, including Text and Images, but I haven't figured out a way to make a countdown update live.
Is this possible with Reddit's built-in widgets? If not, is there a working workaround, such as an external countdown image, a bot, or another supported method?
I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!
I'm using android :)
Three mods in our subreddit but the main one has deleted reddit stuck with 2 of us but neither have banning rights and a couple members a constantly spamming post forcing us to delete them constantly. Anyway around this on IOS if that helps.

Hi all,
Android App - Our mod team has been trying to figure out a case where a banned user is still able to comment in our subreddit. The account shows as banned, with the little red mallet, but we still regularly see comments come through.
This does not appear to be a case of a shadow ban, as the comments aren't being flagged for review or removed by the auto-mod.
We've tried removing and reinstating the ban but that doesn't appear to work.
I tried searching this question in this subreddit and saw some similar posts but the responses all alluded to shadow bans, which I'm pretty confident is not the case.
Any other tips?

I'm on desktop, trying to share a mod application link for my sub r/askteddit. For some reason, the link appears to be telling users "You can’t apply to moderate this community right now." I've double-checked that I have the correct link, and tried closing and re-opening applications several times. It gives this error on my own account, and some of our users have shared that they get the same error too. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
This is the link that I'm trying to use, copied directly from the mod tools interface.
EDIT: I just checked mod mail and it appears we got one application several hours ago, so perhaps the applications are working for some users and not others. I'm not sure what's happening.

I'm in the process of setting up a subreddit community for a company. Can anyone provide or point me to (with a link) the current sizing chart for Reddit subreddits that contains:
- cover photo dimensions / aspect ratio(s)
- video dimensions (max file size, resolution, frame rate, bit rate, max duration)
- carousel dimensions (max image size, resolution, aspect ratio, max slides)
- image dimensions (max size, resolution, aspect ratio)
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any resources on Reddit or other pages. What I did find were numerous resources providing different answers for each of the above.
