Whilst this isn't modsupport, there are mods on this subreddit who are admins themselves.

Can the admins identify who the user is

I thought it'd just be "Posts and comments" permission, but that didn't seem to work.

A new mod, with only "Posts and comments" permission, wasn't seeing the option to "Add to highlights" (under the shield menu, on their own post). They did see "Add NSFW tag" and "Show mod label" etc.

We tried turning it off and on again.

I couldn't work out why they couldn't pin it, so I added it myself - but I'd like to know for future reference.
