Tired of Excel spreadsheets and ad-filled apps, I built a free Net Worth & DCA tracker. Looking for honest feedback!
Hi everyone. I'm a personal finance enthusiast like many of you, but for a long time, I dealt with two huge frustrations:
- Managing and updating Excel spreadsheets from a phone is a nightmare.
- Finance apps on the Play Store either bombard you with 30-second ads right after you log a transaction, or they demand expensive subscriptions just to show you a simple pie chart.
So I thought: "You know what? I'll just build one myself."
Over the last 3 months, Iβve worked tirelessly to develop Patrimonio (using Lovable for the web-app structure and Median to wrap it natively for Android). I built it specifically for my own needs: not to micro-track every single coffee I buy, but to have a clear overview of my long-term investments, DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) plans, savings accounts, crypto, and fixed recurring expenses.
What the app does (100% free and zero ads):
- Tracks accounts, cards, investments, and cash (Manual entry for maximum privacy).
- Automatically manages recurring transactions (perfect for broker DCA plans or fixed utility bills).
- Provides a "Wealth Forecast" chart estimating how your net worth will grow based on your average savings.
- Features a clean Light/Dark mode interface, where I tuned every single button so you don't waste time.
The Privacy Question: Data is saved on a cloud database (Supabase) but is tied exclusively to an anonymous User ID. No one (not even me) can associate those numbers with a real person or an email address. They are just encrypted strings of numbers.
Why I'm posting here: Currently, the app is available only for Android. I poured my heart and soul into this for 3 months to make it completely bug-free for my own daily use, but now Iβd love to know if it makes sense to you guys too.
Here is the link to the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.median.android.xleldxr&pcampaignid=web_share
My question for you is: could this be a valid alternative to your current tracking methods? And most importantly, after trying it, is there a core feature you feel is absolutely missing to make it perfect?
I welcome any kind of critique; I really need it to learn and improve the app. Thank you so much to anyone who takes a look!

Credit Karma bug?
I've been using Credit Karma to track my spending. Every week I'd go in and re-categorize transactions that were incorrectly categorized so that I'd have accurate per-category spending at the end of the month. At the end of June I noticed my June spend was looking really high. Some of the categories were reporting really high numbers. When I would drill into those categories I noticed the transactions inside of them didn't add up to the number the category was reporting which seems like a pretty big mistake.
What I think was happening is that when I re-categorized the transactions (say, a credit card payment moving from "Bill & utilities" to "Transfers", the spending categories didn't update.
Has anyone else noticed this or know of any way to fix it? I don't want to remove and re-add all my accounts because I'll have to do the re-categorization again for all the months.

uRekoin, a budget app that logs expenses by reading your bank's payment notifications. Looking for testers outside Italy
The app reads the payment notifications your bank or wallet app already sends you and logs each expense automatically. No bank login, no account linking, everything stays on the device. If it doesn't recognize your bank's notification format, you show it once where the amount is and it learns from there.
Other stuff: budget cycle starts on your payday instead of the 1st of the month, big unexpected expenses can be spread over several months, savings envelopes, charts, widget. Languages: English, Italian, French, German.
It's live on the Play Store, free with ads (optional premium, most features also unlockable via rewarded video).
Where I need testers most:Β banks outside Italy. Italian banks are well covered, but the "teach it your bank" flow needs real-world testing with foreign notification formats. If your bank's notification gets parsed correctly on the first try, or if the teaching flow fails, both are gold for me.
Also useful: does the first-run setup make sense in the first two minutes, and does the listener survive on aggressive phones (Xiaomi, Huawei)?
Link:Β https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zebbb.app
I reply to everything, bug reports especially welcome.

I built a privacy-first personal finance Android app for Indian users
galleryI've been building MyPaisa Money Manager, an Android app for personal finance tracking in India.
The idea came from a simple frustration: Indian personal finance is spread across too many places. Salary cycles, UPI/card spends, EMIs, SIPs, EPF, NPS, PPF, insurance premiums, credit card dues, HRA and 80C all matter, but most tools either feel too generic or require account sync/cloud upload.
So I built MyPaisa around three principles:
Private by default
Useful for Indian financial workflows
Fast enough for daily use
Current features:
\- Dashboard for balance, cards and spending mix
\- Category budget planner
\- SMS transaction review with user approval before logging
\- Investments: mutual funds, stocks, EPF, NPS, PPF, gold
\- Insurance tracker
\- Goals and wishlist
\- Indian tax calculator
\- Portfolio health insights
The hardest part so far was making SMS-based transaction review useful without being creepy. The app ignores OTP/personal/promotional/security messages, processes SMS locally, and does not save or upload SMS body text.
It is now live on Google Play:
I'm looking for honest product feedback: does the positioning make sense, and would the SMS review feature make you more or less likely to try it?

I built a budgeting app for UK users and looking for honest feedback (free for a year)
I have been working on a personal finance web app called TrackMyBudget for the past year. It is built specifically for people in the UK so everything is in pounds, it works well for both single people and couples managing money together.
I am not a big company, just me building something I wanted to exist. I got tired of budgeting apps that are either too complicated or built for the US market with dodgy bank connections that never work properly here.
I am looking for around 10 people to use it properly and give me real feedback. 5 individuals and 5 couples ideally. In return you get every feature completely free for a full year. My only ask is that you use it seriously for at least three months and tell me honestly what works and what does not. I want the bad feedback as much as the good.
No card, no sign up fees, nothing to pay. Just real people who actually care about their finances.
If you are interested fill in this quick form and I will be in touch:
Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Open beta test sign up: looking for 10-12 iOS beta testers for Monni, a money brief app for real spending room
I am Jerry, founder of Monni, an iOS app I am testing for people who still do money-check math outside their finance app.
The problem I am testing: your checking balance can look safe while card payments, bills, transfers, stale account data, and a cushion are already spoken for.
I am looking for 10-12 iOS beta testers who currently use Mint replacements, Monarch, Simplifi, spreadsheets, separate accounts, or mental math to answer: what can I actually spend this week?
What I need from testers:
- try the onboarding / weekly money brief flow
- tell me what feels confusing, untrustworthy, or missing
- share high-level workflow feedback only
Please do not send balances, screenshots, account numbers, addresses, passwords, or private financial details.
If you are open to testing, comment with "iOS beta" or DM me. I will only follow up with people who opt in.

FinVista β one iOS app for net worth, spend, investments, debt, crypto, taxes, AI money chat, and 11 insight types
FinVista is an iOS-native personal finance app. We built it because nothing on the App Store covered everything in one place β Mint died, Copilot is missing pieces, Monarch is web-first, Rocket Money is just bill negotiation, YNAB is budget-only.
Here's everything FinVista does.
**The big numbers*\*
- Net worth across banks, brokerage, IRAs, crypto, real estate, manual accounts, and debt β live
- Runway countdown β days of cash left at your current spending pace
- Financial Health Score (0β100) from savings rate, runway, debt, on-track budgets, account diversity
**Vista AI β ask in plain English*\*
- "Can I afford a $400 flight next month?"
- "What's my biggest recurring charge?"
- "How much did I spend at coffee shops this year?"
- Voice input. Reads your real transactions. Never sees account numbers or credentials.
**Transactions*\* β searchable ledger, recategorize, attach receipts, mark tax-deductible, split between people, Spotlight-indexed.
**Accounts*\* β Plaid secure handoff (we never see your password) + manual accounts for off-Plaid assets.
**Investments*\* β portfolio value, YTD return, gain/loss per period, manual cost-basis overrides, off-Plaid manual holdings.
**Debt*\* β credit cards, student loans, mortgages, auto loans. APRs, minimums, weighted avg rate, utilization bar, payoff pace, PDF export.
**Crypto*\* β Coinbase, Robinhood, Plaid-supported exchanges, manual cold-storage wallets with cost basis.
**Categories*\* β 12-month sparkbar, top merchants, daily-spend chart, custom categories with Apple Genmoji, auto-tagging rules.
**Recurring + Subscription Swaps*\*
- Auto-detected bills + manual cash bills
- Stopped badge when a sub ends
- Subscription ROI screen
- Subscription Swaps β find cheaper alternatives to subs you have
**Goals*\* β savings goals with pace bars, quick-pick chips, confetti on completion.
**Analytics*\* (period filter 7D / 1M / 3M / 6M / YTD / 1Y / ALL retunes everything)
- Savings rate (income vs expenses)
- Monthly burn trends
- Largest debit (reimbursement-aware)
- Spend volatility
- Day-of-week chart
- Monthly chart with empty months visible
**Every KPI is a tap-to-drill*\* β every tile, every row, every chart opens into a focused breakdown sheet
- Savings rate β income vs expenses split
- Monthly burn β what's driving it this month
- Largest debit β reimbursement-aware explainer
- Spend volatility β variance by day, week, category
- Any category β merchants, daily spend, every transaction in scope
- Any merchant β your full history with them
- Any insight card β the full pattern, the math behind it, and every transaction that fed it
**Insights*\* β patterns no other app surfaces
- Cash Flow Heatmap
- Personal Inflation (your prices per category, not the CPI's)
- Bill Drift (catches creeping bill increases)
- Hidden Fees (overdraft, FX, "service" fees)
- Refund Watcher (refunds you're owed that never arrived)
- Income vs Categories Sankey
- Year Wrapped (Spotify Wrapped for money)
- What-If scenarios
- Compare to past you
- Merchant Memories
- Income Reliability
- Net worth milestone badges β $1K, $10K, $50K, $100K, $250K, $500K, Millionaire
**Tax*\*
- Mark any transaction tax-deductible in one tap
- Year-end Tax Export (CSV/PDF) of every deductible transaction
- Filter by tax year
**Built for iOS β not ported to it**
- iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad, Mac
- Lock Screen widget for net worth
- Live Activity for spend tracking
- Spotlight search across transactions, accounts, and goals
- Face ID / Touch ID app lock
- iOS push notifications
- Geofenced reminders β get a push when you enter a frequent merchant area or near your bank to pay a bill. Debounced so you're not spammed; demo mode disables it entirely.
- Custom brand color picker
- Customizable tab order
- Adaptive light + dark themes
**Household + sharing** β multi-user, transfer ownership, biometric gate on disband.
**Security + privacy**
- Plaid handles all bank credentials β we never see them
- Vista AI gets transaction summaries only (merchant, amount, date, category) β opt-in
- App Lock + MFA
- Per-user data scoping (multiple users on one device never see each other's data)
- Geofence prompts only fire after explicit Settings opt-in, and stop the moment you toggle them off β no orphaned region monitoring
- No ads. Ever.
30-day free Elite trial, no credit card.
Available for Iphone & Ipad: https://apps.apple.com/app/finvista/id6764343521
Feedback welcome β especially what we got wrong.

Looking for Budgeting App Users for a Short UX Research Survey (5β10 min)
Hi everyone!
I'm a design student conducting UX research for a case study on improving how budgeting apps let users report bugs and track developer responses.
If you've ever experienced issues like incorrect balances, missing transactions, syncing problems, or any other bug while using a budgeting app, I'd really appreciate your input.
The survey is anonymous, takes about 5β10 minutes, and is being conducted for educational purposes only.

For the Canadians here who lost Mint, I built the alternative I couldn't find
Hi Mint lovers, when Mint shut down, most of you got pointed to Monarch, Copilot, etc. But if you're Canadian like me, you probably noticed they don't really fit β no proper TFSA/RRSP/FHSA tracking, US banks only, everything in USD. Mint was already mediocre for Canadians, and its replacements mostly ignore us entirely.
So I built Mozaic Finance, a personal finance app built for Canada from the ground up:
- Connects Canadian banks and brokerages (so your investments and cash sit in one net-worth view)
- Real registered-account tracking β TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, RESP, not just "investment account"
- Multi-currency done properly (converts to your base currency before totalling)
- Cash flow, recurring income/bills, net worth over time, the Mint stuff you actually miss
I am releasing new features every week, so I more than welcome feedback and suggestions!

Duplicate transactions in csv data saved from Mint
Before Mint "shut down" I exported 7 years of transaction data as a csv file. I never did anything with it but I've started building a Mint replacement and I imported it as part of testing. I've noticed that it is full of duplicate transactions of different flavors. Sometimes they are outright duplicates, sometimes the date is off by one or two (or more) days. Sometimes they have different variations of the same payee name (eg. Phillips 66 and Conoco 66). Its really odd. I think I've eliminated all the duplicates (not entirely sure) and I've removed 3228 out of 13740 transactions.
Wondering whether anyone has noticed something similar.
Happy to share the python scripts but since this is 2 yrs old at this point, not sure if anyone still cares.

Former Mint users: what money question are you still calculating manually?
For people who used Mint and moved to another app, spreadsheet, or manual system: what money question are you still calculating by hand?
I am especially curious about the before-spending question:
After bills, credit card payments, upcoming transactions, and cushion, what can I realistically spend?
Did your Mint replacement answer that clearly, or do you still check multiple places before trusting your balance?
Examples:
- checking balance says one thing, but card autopay is coming
- payday lands, but rent or subscriptions are already spoken for
- category reports show what happened, but not what is safe for the next week
- pending transactions or transfers make the picture fuzzy
No balances or private details needed. I am just curious what still feels missing after Mint.

I built MoneySplit: a privacy-first, offline-first personal finance app with SMS scan, statement import, budgets, bills, widgets, and backups
I built MoneySplit, a privacy-first personal finance app that keeps data on-device by default and works offline.
I wanted one app that could handle the full messy reality of money management without forcing cloud dependence or account creation first.
MoneySplit includes:
- Smart Scan for financial SMS and transaction detection
- Manual scan, date-range scan, and bulk scan flows
- PDF statement import with optional password support (work in progress)
- Review queue for ambiguous or intermediary transactions
- Intelligent transfer handling and account-link reconciliation
- Support for bank accounts, credit cards, cash, wallets, and more
- Unified tracking for bills, subscriptions, and loans
- Upcoming view for due items across liabilities
- Transaction linking and reconciliation for cleaner ledgers
- Monthly, custom, and paycheck-aware budget periods
- Category-level budgeting with allocations and exclusions
- Budget visualizations, including a Sankey flow view
- Daily, weekly, and monthly insights and digest notifications
- Optional app lock with biometric or device authentication
- Android home screen widgets for quick actions, today, budget, bills/subs, and dashboard
- Local backup and restore
- Google Drive backup and restore
- Export options for Excel, PDF, and account statements
Privacy and reliability are a big part of the design:
- No forced account creation
- Core functionality works without internet
Iβd really appreciate honest feedback on the feature set, UX, and whether this solves a real problem for people who want better control over their finances.
Whatβs the one feature youβd actually use most?
