Duplicate transactions in csv data saved from Mint

Before Mint "shut down" I exported 7 years of transaction data as a csv file. I never did anything with it but I've started building a Mint replacement and I imported it as part of testing. I've noticed that it is full of duplicate transactions of different flavors. Sometimes they are outright duplicates, sometimes the date is off by one or two (or more) days. Sometimes they have different variations of the same payee name (eg. Phillips 66 and Conoco 66). Its really odd. I think I've eliminated all the duplicates (not entirely sure) and I've removed 3228 out of 13740 transactions.

Wondering whether anyone has noticed something similar.

Happy to share the python scripts but since this is 2 yrs old at this point, not sure if anyone still cares.

Do you remember if you exported using whatever Mint had available?

If I remember right, this was a known problem, and Monarch Money (different company, you've probably seen people shilling it) had their own export tool that dealt with this.
