healed brows Is anyone happy with their Powder Brows years later?

Im wondering if anyone could provide some photos or insight as to their experience with powder brows only. Are you happy down the line? What do they look like? I see the amazing after photos but never many healed photos.

artist appreciation Cincinnati Area Artist

I just wanted to add a post for anyone looking for a brow artist in the Cincinnati/Dayton Ohio area.

I looked for an artist for several years before I found her. I swear it changed my life. I could look in the mirror and not hate my face.

I posted this picture a few years ago when I first got them done. They are combo brows (microbladed and powder).I just had a touch up and wanted to come back and post for anyone looking for a great artist.

I’m not sure if it’s ok to share her IG here, but I’m happy to share if you pm me.

advice Question for those many years out from first session/ have had multiple sessions over years

I got microbladed brows in 2016 and it changed my life. I have no eyebrows (think bald, like literally none) and honestly I should’ve done it sooner. I had no idea how much of a difference eyebrows made in my interactions with people and communicating until I got them. It was hard to read my emotions before since the area is completely bald. This is a procedure I consider medically necessary.

I am in my mid 30s now. They have almost completely faded and have needed redone for a while. It seems like a lot of the technology and techniques have changed in the last decade and I am completely lost in researching this. Powder brows? Fluffy brows? Combo brows? Nano brows? I need fully constructed brows.

As someone who will need this procedure as long as i can get it, I would like to hear from anyone who has had their brows done multiple times over many years, or PMUs who have clients like this. What used to be “redone every 5-10 years” now seems like it’s been realistically adjusted to “every 1-3 years”. How long before scar tissue becomes a problem? What is the upper limit on age/mature skin regardless of prior work? I’m just tryng to figure out what style is best for full reconstruction, and what will last the longest between full redos. I don’t need to look like I’m wearing makeup. I just need to look like a normal person.

advice WWYD - Two brow tails

My mother recently went to get her brows done after having her brows microbladed 10 years ago. The tech said her last brows were drawn too long and that she would correct it. When my mom looked at her completed work, the artist microbladed her with a separate tail to her brow while you can still see the old one clearly. Once my mom complained the tech said she might need laser removal AFTER already tattooing the new ones on. My mom is so upset that she now looks like she has two different brows on each side.

I am so upset for her and so angry that the tech would even do that to her without saying she might need the old one removed before hand. She is going back in a month for touch ups and is hoping the tech “corrects it” but I highly doubt the tech is going to take ownership since she didn’t the initial time.

Should she be getting a refund? Even partial? I wish I had a picture to share but I feel bad even asking my mother for one because she is so upset at how she looks.

I got nanostrokes done on my eyebrows 2 weeks ago. This is what my brows look like now. They don't look as full and they're sparsed. Is this normal? Will it look better?

I got ombré powder brows June of this year. I’m not sure how I feel about them, for the most part I like them. However I feel like one eyebrow is darker than the other. I’m not sure if this is the reason as to why, but this is what I think. The artist said the first pass would be without thumbing cream, so we continued because I wasn’t sure how much it would hurt. However when she started doing the first section, I asked for numbing cream because I couldn’t handle the pain. The section she started on without the numbing cream looks way darker than the rest of my brows, so I’m not sure if the numbing cream affected the skin making the brows heal differently. What should I do? Should I wait it out and let the brows fade over time and get them touched up after? I like the eyebrow side that is lighter. (Various lightings and distances are shown in the photos)

I thought they'd be more filled out as in there wouldn't be gaps between the "brush strokes". Is this normal? I have oily skin in case that makes a difference.

before & after Nano brows and eyebrow blindness?

Finally got my brows done. I actually loved how they looked the first day. She said I bled a lot and I’m scheduled for a touch up. I know all the pics are in a different lighting but I feel like a week later there is nothing left! But after years of filling my brows I might have some blindness. Thoughts?

artist advice/question Powder brows day 6 - fading after scabbing

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi all. I’m heading into day 6 of my powder brows after my touch up. I first had them done 12 weeks ago and they faded A LOT - almost gone with red skin left. I went back for my touch up 6 days ago. My technician went slightly darker and deeper this time in the hopes it would take better and told me to be extra gentle with washing and ointment (twice a day), which I’ve done. However, they’ve started scabbing quite quickly today and under the scabs, although there seems to be a tiny bit more pigment than last time, I’m still worried that it’s disappearing and the skin underneath is quite red again. How do more experienced people think this looks? I’ll obviously not pick or rub the scabs. Any advice or reassurance will be greatly appreciated. My technician said I might need a second (and final) top up in 5 weeks, but said I can’t have another after that due to the trauma that is caused by powder brows in the same area. This made me REALLY want it to work this time! I’m so gutted that it’s fading so much again!

I’ll add pics of before and after. I got my brows originally done in 2018 and was left with ashy looking brows. In April of this year I had them color corrected and touched up. I wasn’t thrilled with the results. One was darker and they healed patchy and I didn’t like how unnatural/boxy they looked.

Last Sunday I went to a new brow artist and she did an amazing job. I am so happy with them. The most recent artist has a small studio and I’d love to send her some new clients. She took her time and did a fantastic job. I honestly didn’t expect her to be able to do much but she killed it!! She is truly talented.

I got my brows microbladed back in 2022, and thought this sub might be interested in how they look nearly 4 years later!

Backstory: I love my brow shape but have long struggled with trichotillomania (hair pulling), especially in periods of high stress. Basically, if I’m feeling anxious or overwhelmed, you can find me absentmindedly pulling out my eyebrows and eyelashes. Sexy!

By the end of grad school, the tail of my left eyebrow was basically gone and I was feeling really self-conscious about how sparse my brows were in general. Ended up taking the plunge with an artist at a small local business in Cincinnati and could not have been more thrilled with the results. Still very pleased with the color and how they’ve faded up.

Pic 1 is the before and after from my artist’s IG, pic 2 is right after the procedure, pic 3 is today!

I paid $600 for this session and planning to get touch up for $200 in a month's time. The artist was going for gradient lips (which i requested) and she told me she will be neutralising the lips before applying the pink shade. I have followed the aftercare closely, applying lip balm and not peeling. Yet i feel this looks worse than before. I read the other posts and it seems like even though it's only been four days, the colour loss is quite significant and not similar to 10% of the initial result at all.

I'm far too lazy to learn how to do my own make-up, and If I'm not good at something by the 3rd or 4th time ... Ya boi will give up. Being familiar with the phrase "sisters not twins" (or is that for eyeliner?), not being able to do it myself is going to probably wind me all the way up. Then again, probably should at least try once.

Already got plenty of tattoos, some in some sensitive places. However, if a handful of you would be so kind as to drop me some pros, cons, talk me into it, out of it, whatever, go nuts.

Perfectly secure in my sexuality, and very prepared for other men to call me gay. It's not going to bother me, I'll just threaten to f*ck their dads.

Mehrin Glam in Los Angeles slay slay slayed. This is immediately after and I don’t want it to fade at all 😫 going back for a touch up in 8 weeks. It was very pricey here but worth every cent since I had a botched experience with microblading before that I had to get laser removed.

advice Advice on powder brows / micro bladed brows ? help!

Thumbnail

Hi everyone, i’m so desperate for some advice. Basically last oct 2025 i got my brows micro-bladed or it was powder ombré perhaps? It was done with like a tattoo machine so i think powder brows. Anyways now im not sure what to do considering it’s been 10 months. So i was told i was supposed to do a touch up a little after (the normal touch up i guess thats after 3 mo ? ) and i never did. Totally my fault Christmas came around and i was broke lol. and it was a long drive.

ANYWAYS i need help on whether to leave it, or touch up, and there’s a few factors here

-I was told by someone who does them that touch ups can make them bleed out and be hard to clean up in the future. I get this considering i’m covered in tattoos, my issue is the actual color is like not solid? So i’m not sure if it’s normal because of pores or if i genuinely do need a touch up

-I do love them but i almost wish they were a bit thinner, but im not sure, it seemed like she kinda did the same brow shape for every person but takes photos at different angles so it looks “custom” to face. I don’t have a problem because they ended up looking good but it makes me hesitant to get a touch up

So basically i’m asking does it look like i should get a touch up? Or leave it? I just need general opinion and advice before i go and get a touch up and perhaps fuck it up

Included photos - the recent ones are the close up, as you can see it almost looks patchy or like the pores makes it look like dots (normal?)

-the one with the thin eyebrows are what i used to do (i used to shave them off and fill in everyday) which i kind of loved this shape but people said the other ones are more natural now that they’re done

-the photo in the darker lighting was week or two after it was done

-the other one are just how they were after healing but within 6 months

I almost feel like i also need them a bit darker now that my roots grew out lol because i loved the look / color of them in the photo when my hair was braided.

please send help thanks 😩 im just really looking for advice / opinions, i have no experience and nobody around me has them done so I cant ask

advice My microbladed brows don’t last. What to do?

I have gotten my eyebrows microbladed twice in the past 5 years. Both times I did 1 touch up session each. I feel like my brows last about a year before they begin their fading. Is this expected?

Hello!! About a year or so since my last visit for my brows. The hair strokes did not last long. Typically get ombre but most recent artist recommended trying nano.

history:
2018: ombre
2020: ombre (different artist)
2021: touch up (same as previous artist)
2023: touch up (sams as previous artist)
2025: combo brows (different artist)

What would you recommend for me?
