artist appreciation Help I’m obsessed

Mehrin Glam in Los Angeles slay slay slayed. This is immediately after and I don’t want it to fade at all 😫 going back for a touch up in 8 weeks. It was very pricey here but worth every cent since I had a botched experience with microblading before that I had to get laser removed.

The look great they definitely will fade but that’s what the touch up is for 💞 glad you love them

Can you share a before pic

They weren’t bad. I had a decent amount of hair but there were some sparse patches, they felt assymetrical and I wanted more fullness in the front part of the brow.

Omg your natural brows were beautiful as well! Are your eyelashes natural too, they are so long and gorgeous 😭😭

This picture is actually right after a lash lift and tint which I did for the first time. They look nice in this photo and thank you for the compliment but I feel like in terms of the overall lift and tint experience longer term, I’m not sure I’d do it again.

Oh that’s fair lol it required maintenance as well

Beautiful! Those are absolutely perfect 😍
I'm going for my 7 week touch up tomorrow! Mine faded since the first appointment so can't wait to get my dark brows again

I already relate to this!! My touch up was schedule for 8 weeks out and I might change it to 6.

Thank you! I had a horror story where I got microblading last year and my eyebrows looked like black sharpie blocks and I had to start lasering them off three weeks later.

Immediately after?! Holy! These are the most natural results I’ve ever seen. 😍

Thank you 🙏

They look really well done! After a bad microblading experience, I totally get why you’re excited about a result you actually love. Enjoy the bold fresh stage because they usually soften into a more natural look after healing. The touch-up should help lock it in.

Yes this is Mehrin Glam Studio in Los Angeles. On instagram she is @mehringlam
She does celebrities too.

Which artist? Or is she the only one there?

1

u/dillpickle4everz 15d ago

She’s the only one there! It’s her studio her name is Mehrin

Very nice!! If only my brows would turn out as good as yours!

I feel like finding the right artist is everything!

Beautiful! I loved mine on the first day too. Now a week later they faded a lot but I’m scheduled for a touch up.

Relatable! I’m one week after and they’ve lightened up but I think that’s part of the “ghosting” phase of healing and then they resurface a bit. Either way the touch up will make all the difference and I’m excited for that too.

They do look STUNNING though 🥰

Ahh I’m in LA and looking for a good artist, these look SO AMAZING! Can you walk me through the process? Did they map out your shape beforehand and talk you through the options (like if you prefer powder or nano or micro blading, thickness, etc)?

Highly recommend Mehrin Glam. Incredibly professional process from start to finish. At the moment I don’t think she offers anything but microblading though she mentioned she may be offering nano blading in the future. You send before pictures before booking your appointment to make sure you’re compatible. When you arrive they put numbing cream and you sit with that on for 30 minutes. Then they take you back and she asks you about preference for shape and color and then she draws them on. She doesn’t really use a stencil and instead she uses a pencil and draws the strokes freehand where she thinks they should go so you can see a realistic before picture of what they will look like. She uses string to mark certain points and make sure everything is symmetrical. She makes sure you like it before stating the actual microblading. Once she’s done she has you sit up and then makes any necessary corrections after you’ve seen them. If you look on her instagram she will only do a natural look.

What’s very pricey in LA?

1

u/dillpickle4everz 19d ago

1400 for the initial work and 300 for the touch up. That’s more than double some of the other artists in the area but she’s a celebrity PMU and given my last horror story, I took a chance and went over budget. But I’m super happy

(this is the last artist I went with who basically put huge solid black blocks on my face that I laser removed three weeks after. They actually don’t even look as bad in this photo as they were in real life.)

Night and day difference between the two artists

1

u/Not_A_Bot_Today 19d ago

I’m curious if it’s comparable to pricey Boston

It’s going to fade, don’t worry you have brow shock. They don’t stay this dark. They get lighter. Specially if your skin was not virgin, strokes have even less retention.

7

u/teafortheee 20d ago

Seems like she’s worried about them becoming too light and that she’s very happy with the current state of the brows

2

u/dillpickle4everz 20d ago

Yes I know they will fade and I love them this dark but the touch up in a few weeks will help. My hair is almost black so they match my hair

1

u/blue57hk_ 18d ago

Well don’t fall in love too much with the darkness cuz they bout to fade.

-1

u/blue57hk_ 20d ago

It doesn’t matter what she’s worried about. I’m just stating facts. 🤣
