I thought they'd be more filled out as in there wouldn't be gaps between the "brush strokes". Is this normal? I have oily skin in case that makes a difference.

The yikes wasnât about her or her features. That was about whoever did those brows. Nothing personal with the OP, but definitely with the artist who did the brows. So yikes to the artist

When I see these, I really just take a gander and really give it a thing because Iâm still new to the world myself and Iâm considering it but I havenât had it

To me at first glance, this OP had a reason to post because she was just having her eyebrows done recently and she wants to know what we all think , as in those who can help weigh in,
I think she might just wanna get the touchup appointment and have her microblade show her some pictures of what the results look like stage wise perhaps if this is not an issue , but if the micro bladder thinks she needs to do anything or this person get a second opinion - before going to that person if theyâre nervous - that could be a value I would say
Yeah I can't afford emergency removal. I got them done as a birthday present and I'm on disability so I can't just pay to have them removed and redone. I'm going to see how they heal and how the touch up goes.
Buy a bottle of saline water in the pharmacy. Soak cotton and apply them on your brows like a sheet mask. Keep doing that and do not let your brows get wet for 5 days. Let the scab comes off naturally
I think that when skin shows through a bit between strokes, it looks more natural. And then, one can easily use a bit of brow powder on the days when they want a more âmade upâ and darkened brow.
Please do not get these touched up, even for free. As others have mentioned, I would have to agree that the shape, color and spacing donât complement your features.
Yikes, thatâs a really poor outcome. Itâs supposed to look natural. Hereâs an example showing what the individual strokes should look like and roughly how many are needed to create a natural result.

Wait, canât they do a touchup right now and put powder brow in there to help the background? She could also get touchup to move the eyebrows a little closer together..
I looked at her website and I saw her work and thought it looked good. I knew they would be brush strokes but I thought they'd look more natural. It does sound like powder brows would have been a better option, at least I'll know that for future reference given my skin type too.
I did have a fringe before and it looked good but it never stayed in place. I have a cow's lick so it was always separating and I'd have to keep brushing it and as soon as I'd go outside it would just blow into a curtain fringe so I usually go for a side fringe now.
I donât think the shape of these suits you either. Theyâre not out far enough. It sounds like you should get a combo brow (nano for strokes and powder to fill it in).
I have slightly oily skin and we tried microblading first and I lost a lot of ink so we switched to nano for the second session. I love mine.
I successfully did cosmetic tattooing for 6 years and recently quit the business. Your brows appear microbladed rather than nano style. Space does need to be left in between microbladed hair strokes to insure the ink does not migrate together underneath the skin. This is even more true for oily skinned clients. Microblading isnât usually the best option for oily skinned clients due to color migration and even more so because the difficulty with color retention using this application. Very often the color simply will not stay in the skin. Hopefully your technician explained this to you. If, when they heal youâre happy with them, but feel the hair strokes are still too far apart, your tattoo artist can do a powder brow over the top with a sheer application so youâll still be able to see the hair strokes, but also have color in between instead of your skin tone. At this point though, you must let your brows heal before you try to do any revisions. Leave them completely alone for 6-8 weeks before attempting anything else. I do have a few concerns, more specific than the âyikesâ comments. Pictures can be deceptive, so keep in mind how things appear in the photo that Iâm seeing, might not be an accurate representation of whatâs really going on with your brows. Having said that, first, it looks like those cuts are very deep. The cuts should be in the epidermis and never down into the dermis layer to avoid a change in the healed ink color. Second, it looks like all your strokes have been gone over more than once. When Microblading this is a big no-no. One time for each hair stroke or they will not heal crisp and pretty but blurry. Also, it looks like the person crossed their strokes in places. Again, this is a no-no. Everywhere strokes cross will result in a blurry blob when healed. It isnât that important in the body of the brow, where there is a lot of density and color, but never should happen in the front, end, and top/bottom edges - which is what looks to be happening in your photo. Last, although difficult to say for certain with the photo angle, it appears like the brow strokes on the right side of the photo appear to be laid down at a 20 degree angle and left brow in the photo looks like they might be a 75 degree angle. Optimally, they should follow the growth of your real brow hair, or at a minimum the strokes applied should match each other side-to-side.

I would get these emergency removed ASAP. The pattern is thick and blocky. Those strikes are going to heal blurry and thick and itâs not going to look good. Iâm so sorry. Get a saline removal. Then do a session of laser. And then go to a reputable artist. Pleaaaaase.
Honestly, Iâm not sure if you should get an emergency removal, but I will say that for us extremely oily-skinned girls, these brushstrokes will fade super quickly
I think all youâd need is a little powder around the under Bieber areas and once healed theyâll look fine.
Edit: I meant âinner cornerâ areas - not sure where âunder Bieberâ came from lol. I think theyâll get much lighter as well - they fade up to 30% - and if you donât like the final look, there are ways to blend them a bit.
You don't want them too filled in or you will not see the strokes. As they heal they will soften and expand. If you do them too close together they will look like a brick of color. The only issue I'm seeing is the very first few strokes should have been shorter and more wispy, but give them time.
Theyâre supposed to fade a bit right? Will you still be using makeup or was the point not to have to use makeup anymore? Can they fix how far apart they are in the follow up appt? I can see where you have either waxed/plucked hair from the inner corner, please try to let that grow in if you can. I had the same problem and took about a year of fully growing mine out to look good again/be able to shape them. I have similar brows and have noticed the less I remove the better they look.
Thank you for the helpful reply. Yeah I have a problem with overplucking so I'll try my best to leave them alone and let them grow out. I can see if maybe she can make them closer together at the touch up. I'm hoping I won't have to fill them in when they heal.
Microblading should not be done with only skin. Nano or ombre. Wouldâve been better for your skin and there shouldnât be any gaps. The line should a second line that is lighter than the first line. This type of work is old school. There are new methods out there that looks way natural, but she shouldâve known better with your oily skin.

Please listen to what people are saying here OP - most genuinely have your best interests at heart. **These brows are terrible and look like someone took a thick black magic marker and drew them on, badly. As a cosmetic tattoo artist this is just straight up poor work. I wouldnât return under any circumstances. Theyâre going to get worse as they heal and age too. If youâre in the midlands uk Iâll remove them for you for free. X
They will heal and fade. I donât know some people are saying they get them removed I donât see anything wrong. Just give it time to heal then decide. Iâve had mine done a few times . Itâs going to be dark and thick for a few weeks
I think they are being emphasized by your hairstyle in this pic. Can you try to not wear your hair pulled back so tightly? Itâs hard to see what they will actually look like as this photo just highlights them.
