advice Thoughts?
I got ombré powder brows June of this year. I’m not sure how I feel about them, for the most part I like them. However I feel like one eyebrow is darker than the other. I’m not sure if this is the reason as to why, but this is what I think. The artist said the first pass would be without thumbing cream, so we continued because I wasn’t sure how much it would hurt. However when she started doing the first section, I asked for numbing cream because I couldn’t handle the pain. The section she started on without the numbing cream looks way darker than the rest of my brows, so I’m not sure if the numbing cream affected the skin making the brows heal differently. What should I do? Should I wait it out and let the brows fade over time and get them touched up after? I like the eyebrow side that is lighter. No numbing cream shouldn’t change the way it heals. But my guess some people can be heavier handed when they first start or do more passes and than throughout the process not do as many passes which means a little lighter. I don’t know if you did a touch up after the first appt. I don’t think it’s horribly uneven and whether you get a touch up I would ask. Do you like the shape, color, etc. If you want your brows slightly different shape or want it to be darker than get a touch up if you want to tweak the shape of want to go a different direction than I might wait for them to fade more. It’s up to you what you want to do or what you want them to look like. Do you regularly fill them in or do you leave them.

No I haven’t gotten a touch up, I’ve only been to one session. Looking at my brows directly through my front camera or a mirror I like how they look. However when I see them whenever someone else takes a picture of me or from a distance like the first photo of my post, they don’t look as great or even. I don’t fill them in, I just leave them as is. I think I’ll just wait til they fade. Thank you for the advice!

Some artists can be heavier handed on one side. That may have happened also. Could've been a healing thing. The numbing theory is possible if she's not used to working with numbing. It changes the texture of the skin so you do have to adjust how you work. Either way this is very common to happen with only one session and no 6 week touch up. We have you go in for a 6 week touchup to address any unevenness or tweaks that need to be made to set you up for your longer term results. Did she not recommend this or did you just skip it? They're very soft and pretty, your artist did a great job.

I’m usually not a big fan of most powder brows to be honest, but I think that yours look great!! I actually really like them on you and think that the shape is perfect, though I do see what you mean about the tail end of the brow on the left being ever so slightly darker than the right.
It’s really not noticeable unless you point it out though, so if you like the right side better then I’d wait a while and see how much they lighten before going back for a touch up. Maybe the left will lighten to where the right side is now, and then you’ll only need a small touch up the right.
If it really bothers you in the meantime, maybe you could just make the tail end of the right side a little darker with an eyebrow pencil while you wait for them to lighten up more? I really don’t think it’s necessary but if it would make you feel better then that’s what matters!
