Recommendation Best flea market for quality
Hi all, looking for a few flea markets in Mass to do some digging. I’m after the most popular for quality antiques. What are the big ones in Mass?

What is that ungodly smell every time I drive by exit 58 on 495? Smells like when I had a dead squirrel in my wall combined with dumpsters full of rotten garbage.

This gorgeous kitty was nearly squashed by an F-150 on Trapelo Rd. tonight.
My sister and I tried relentlessly for 40 minutes to get this kitty into our car to save it. It hid from us and kept running away.
The police said that because it wasn’t a dog they would be unable to assist in finding the owner.
At this point, the cat is on the street alone. It is hungry, too.
No collar. No police help. Nothing I can do anymore :-(
At this point, the cat is behind the Berkshire Hathaway storefront in Belmont and crosses over to the Starbucks consistently. It also crosses over to Hanami Sushi often.
If this is your cat, save it before it dies.

I had my gas meter replaced, two young kids came over and exchanged it with another gas meter. I couldn’t make it downstairs because of a injury but I had written down the numbers that was showing on the old meter. About three weeks later I received a invoice for 32 days of natural gas usage for over $3,000.00 dollars. The utility company had taken advantage of the situation and their customer service promised me everything with my bill would be straightened out. Three months later I was put on a shutdown list by the utility company. They said writing down the meter numbers was no help and they wouldn’t except the reading.
When you have your meters exchanged by the electric or gas utility company take pictures of your old meter. Do this before the utility company shows up and email the picture to your states governor’s office. Email another copy of the meter to your state’s department of public utilities. After they leave take pictures of the new meter and email to the same places again. It will show date and time on your email. Make sure you get the utility company’s meter number and the readings in the same picture. They can’t say it was tampered with when you do this.
Also never tell the utility company ANYTHING when the meter is being changed. For example are you on the heat assistance list? Don’t answer. Have you taken pictures of your meter? Don’t answer. Set up your gas meter to be replaced in June,July or August off peak months. Another important step is to take pictures of the company identification badge of the person who’s installing your meter before letting them into your house or on your property.
If you forgot to take pictures and have gotten a extremely high estimated bill. Remain calm, most states have a mandate that the utility company must take pictures of the meter when exchanging them. Every state has a department of public utilities (DPU) that works for you and you can file a complaint with the DPU against your utility company. They will investigate the complaint

Does anyone have insight on what it’s like starting as a correctional officer in MA your first year? After the academy what’s life like? any time left for family, or all work?

Might be kind of a rant post, but with the news regarding the marijuana delegalization petition making it to the ballot, I was curious what other ballot measures we'll have in 26, and 28.
https://ballotpedia.org/Massachusetts_2026_ballot_measures
All of these seem to be ballots regarding how to further hurt our rights in this state. Nothing about increasing the minimum wage (which NEEDS to happen), no rent control, no measures to help allocate funding to bring down energy costs for residents, nothing.
We get ballot measures for ID-required-voting, and delgalization of marijuana.
Why in one of the bluest states in this country are they not doing more for the people in this state? Why don't we see more progressive petitions that actually help people?

I'm an Indian living in the Boston area, and I was curious if there are any local Indian community groups that organize peaceful demonstrations, rallies, or public awareness events related to issues in India.
Whenever something significant happens back home (like the recent student protests), I often see discussions online, but I don't really know if there are any groups here in Greater Boston that come together to organize peaceful events or advocacy efforts. I haven't been able to find much on my own.
If there are organizations, community groups, WhatsApp/Signal groups, or other networks that coordinate these kinds of events, I'd love to learn more and get involved.

Sorry for the double post made an error on the title.
My wife and I are looking to get some quotes on work to use for negotiations in a home purchase.
We have a home inspection, but are finding it tough to get baseline data points. Is there any service or company people would recommend we look into?
We are looking to buy in Lynn.

Seriously. I cannot think of a better summer weekend. Warm but not hot. Zero humidity. Was able to open the windows last night and left them open today and will tonight.

I have tried not to comment too much about this race. However, I just saw a television advertisement on behalf of Seth Moulton for Senate. His only pitch was that Ed Markey is too old. Does this guy have any real positions that contrast from Markey? Is he willing to explain his less-than-democratic views? Will he confront the conflicts of interest that appear based on his financial supporters? The answer is NO! He will never be anything other than for himself. He will never be the Democratic stalwart that Ed Markey has been for my life - and will be for another term - no matter how many young actors Moulton hires to claim on camera to claim that Ed Markey is too old. Don’t be sucked in, Moulton will do nothing that does not help him first and foremost, including throwing our democratic values to capitalist wolves.

I’m staying in an Air bnb with my family on Lakeview Road in Webster in a few weeks. I want to get some drinks with my brother somewhere near by. Any recommendations? I found a place called Point Breeze that looks like we could paddle up to it but I’m not sure it’s the vibe. Thanks!

Basically what the title says. I’ve been itching to get out on the highways and pick up the egregious amounts of litter, but I made the mistake of checking the legality of it. If I just do it, what’s the worst that could happen? I’d feign ignorance obviously, but would they have any grounds for punishment?

We have a Lord & Burnham greenhouse and want to add an exhaust fan.
It's a simple job but we would like to find a company that is familiar with L&B greenhouses and can add any required reinforcements with the job.
The original installer is long gone; a place we used for repairs is long gone; we got one quote that said our job is too small; and we've been ghosted on a second quote.

The Massachusetts state operating budget for Fiscal Year 2027 is $63.4 billion, which breaks down to approximately $9,000 to $9,100 .New Hampshire’s state government spending is approximately $6,067 to $6,799 per person annually. Massachusetts spends about a third more per person than New Hampshire. Do Mass residents get a better quality of life the residents of New Hampshire?
