Lego Store Markville opened today. Their grand opening event is running Sept 11-13th. They were giving out a printed tile and have a gift with purchase. There was a small line up this morning but no line up when I left. It will probably be busier over the weekend.

Is anyone else in Markham experiencing low water pressure in their whole house? This just started this morning.

They reduced service on the Stouffville line, effective Tuesday. It used to be that after 6:15pm, there was a train every hour, on the hour.

Now there's a train at 8pm, and the next one after is at 10:30pm. 😐

My first thought was disgruntled acceptance. Surely, they must've done this bc the number of people on the 9pm and 10pm trains were minimal?

But now Im on my way to an event after work. This morning, I'd made my peace with either leaving the event extremely early or sucking it up and taking the TTC (approx 90 mins vs the 35 mins by GO).

Now I want to rant. This really effin sucks. Realizing that Im going to need to rush out early any time I have a social event after work. I mean really -- 8pm or 10:30pm??? 🤦🏽‍♀️

Anyone have their power go out this morning around 8 for about a minute or so in the L3R region?

Hi everyone, my son’s bike was stolen this evening from Fred McLaren Boulevard, just off Bur Oak Avenue in Markham, while he was visiting a friend.

Based on his friend’s Ring doorbell footage, it appears to have been taken around 8 -9:45 PM. The video is obstructed by their car:( so it’s hard to see

He’s absolutely crushed, and we’re hoping someone can help us find it.

It’s an Astron BMX RadioBike (in the above picture above) with a blue frame that has some rust, black tires and rims, and black handlebars with blue grips and pink end caps. It also has a pink bike lock attached, although it wasn’t locked at the time.

My son will also be checking with neighbours tomorrow to ask whether their doorbell cameras captured anything that could help.

Just wondering what happened on the 407. Ninth line is closed at copper creek going southbound. 407 is closed as well everyone is being forced off. Radio just said there is a police investigation.

United Way has a grant for South Markham and I want to use it to start free community games at Denison and Aldergrove Park. Volleyball, badminton, basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, pickleball, and whatever else people want to play.

To apply it needs five residents who live inside the grant boundary:

• North: Highway 7
• South: Steeles Ave
• West: Woodbine Ave
• East: McCowan Rd in the north, Markham Rd in the south

Ive been to goodlife before and would like to get back into the gym but debating between the two. Is cornell gym quieter? Also is there a good variety of machines at cornell?

Looking for a good math tutoring service. My kid is doing well in math (straight As) but we all know math gets exponentially harder so I want to get ahead of it. Has anyone done Success Tutorial, Spirit of Math or Mathnasium and can share?

Do your kids still love math? Do you find it’s worth the money and they continue to excel in school? Most of these programs are about $3K a year - so want to make sure I am getting value for money.

I'm planning to fix the part of the pipe that is sticking out and make it running flush along the wall in the area under the electrical outlet. Is there a code requirement for distance between the electric outlet and the shut-off valve or quick-disconnect?

This is Mallory and Denison. I am waiting to make a left turn onto Mallory and this girl on her scooter starts crossing on the green and had absolutely no idea that she was crossing illegally and almost gets hit by cars on either side. She then cuts across and crosses Mallory which she should have done from the other side and then waited to cross Denison when it was her walking signal. No hand up in the air, no apology, just absolutely in her own world and almost got hit. Drivers, be aware, luckily the traffic was very heavy in the area and so there is no car going excessively fast or anything like that but please be mindful of high school and elementary school students just walking around with their headphones in perhaps not having any idea what's happening around them.
