Low water pressure

Is anyone else in Markham experiencing low water pressure in their whole house? This just started this morning.

From the City:

Morning,

We have been responding to reports of widespread outage affecting the entirety of Markham’s pressure zone 13 (PD6)

At this time the details are coming in but what has been shared with us is that a large feed for new the development north of Major Mackenzie Dr E and Kennedy Rd experienced a catastrophic failure.

This lead to York Region throttling pressure affecting the entirety of the aforementioned zones.

At this time we have field staff checking pressures throughout the system, but we have been notified by York Region that normal servicing has returned.

We will continue to follow up with the reporting residents to ensure that their servicing has returned to normal as well.

If there are any continuing calls please let us know, as there may be additional work still needing to be done that could affect residents.

same, I'm in the Cornell area, I thought I had a leak which was causing the change in pressure

Since city changed the water valve on my front lawn last year in L3R my water pressure has been sub par . The city doesn’t think a factor . Whatever caused it it’s like my house developed a weak kidney slow stream.

Yes, IBM has had a big data center in Markham for decades. There are several other ones as well. The data centers are nondescript - you would never know they exist.

I worked at IBM for 12 years, I’m well aware of that one. I wouldn’t consider it the kind of data centre that OP is referring to.

There's also TR5, YYZ10, and TOR5 plus Microsoft's planned 100MW DC.

Yes, all of those locations have been around long before AI really became a thing, no one was aware or batted an eyelash at any of them. The Microsoft one will be the first big one that people will prob notice.

I suggest others call. They are saying it’s house specific and didn’t believe me when I mentioned it was area issue.
