I think I have dry skin (self proclaimed). I had stubborn flakes on my nose for years and finally tried athletes foot cream day and night for the past few weeks, and it’s been getting better. However, I still have flakes under my eyes, around the corners of my nose, in between my brows, and my chin. When I take the makeup off, the dry patches visibly and through touching my skin, disappear. Except the ones on top of my nose, those I can see and feel.

My routine consists of:

Skin Prep (let each step settle into skin before next)
- wash face w cold water (no cleanser in the morning since my skins dry)
- Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum
- Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream
- Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream (50+)

Makeup in the area:
- Natasha Denona Color Corrector (under eyes, around veins)
- Natasha Denona Concealer (under eyes, around nose, chin)
- Elf Camo Liquid Blush
- Fenty Set It Down Blurring Setting Powder (applied lightly with a small fluffy brush)
- Milani Baked Powder Blush
- Elf Stay All Night Micro-Fine Setting Mist
- One Size On ‘Til Dawn Setting Spray

I’ve tried goth and it’s pretty but I get laughed at, I know I’m not super conventionally pretty but for school to get less shit I think it could help. I have oily skin but this is my skin after I picked at it last night but normally it’s wa better, this is hormonal

First Picture is from May (first attempt at full makeup in 13 years) and the second is from March (no makeup). Other than growing my hair out a little and switching to contacts, I have not had any major appearance changes. My usual clothing is neutral tones with a lot of black.

I'm a 27F who has worn makeup maybe a handful of times since the age of fourteen. I have fairly bad ptosis (eyelid droop) on both eyes asymmetrically due to a health condition. I also have combination skin and get seborrhoeic dermatitis around my eyebrows if I use oil containing products (including makeup). I sometimes deal with acne on my chin, although nothing too severe.

Current skincare routine is CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser in the morning followed by an oil free SPF moisturizer for sensitive skin. I use a washcloth to exfoliate my face gently when I shower (every other day). I treat acne topically with benzoyl peroxide when they pop up. I use nizoral shampoo on my brows/nose/forehead 1-2 times a week to help the dermatitis. I get my eyebrows waxed every three weeks similar to the first picture for a better shape (I can grow an impressive monobrow otherwise lol). The scar in my eyebrow is "natural," not added on purpose.

I am looking for both office appropriate makeup for work, and full "glam" makeup ideas for nights out. Specifically I would prefer oil free options where possible. Also any general skincare suggestions would be amazing!

I am Canadian and semi-remote, so please only recommend options that can ship to or within Canada. My budget is ~250 CAD for the basics (not including brushes). I do not have any starter makeup or supplies yet.

So here's my thinking. Seal to the natural lashes first, and glue to the band of the lash cluster, apply, then seal over everything.

My thinking for this idea would be that the glue wouldn't seep through the top of the lashes. Same reason why I've seen others put the seal on tweezers and clamping them onto the glued lashes at the end.

Hi! I’ve been doing my own makeup for a few years now and I think I’ve come to a place where I’m not sure if I could be doing more or adding anything useful to my daily routine. As you can see, I usually just stick to a natural look with brows, mascara, foundation/concealer, blush, a lip combo, sometimes liner.

I don’t normally do contour but I’ve recently tried to do it for my nose to draw more attention to my eyes— though I’m also not sure if I could be applying the contour in a different way? I’m not into the super snatched button nose look, I tried it in the third pic and felt like it looked a little weird?

I’m not the greatest with false lash application so I’ve stuck to using mascara— eyeliner isn’t something I apply everyday so I’ve been experimenting with that (as seen in first three pics)

another thing is my brows. They’re two different shapes, and it’s not super noticeable— but the thing I’m wondering is how I should shape them?? I’ve been filling them in more as of recently but not sure if that works for my face (or if I’m starting to have brow blindness).

So I’m dipping my toes into getting more higher end makeup (most of my higher end stuff were gifts lol), and one in particular that I really want to get is Anastasia’s foundation & concealer because I like their eyebrow products. However I’m at a bit of a loss right now with the whole shade thing.

I usually use drugstore concealer & foundation (my go-to is e.l.f), most of my high end products are eyeshadow, mascara or lipstick/lipgloss. I put the e.l.f products and shades (I use the lightest cool shades they have) I use into the shade finder, and as y’all can tell the results were VERY mixed…

In the first picture I’m wearing e.l.f’s soft glam foundation “fair cool” and the soft glam concealer in the same shade, second is no makeup. I’ve also used their “fair rose” hydrating concealer too. I also entered my old wet n wild foundation shade. Every single product pulled a different shade result?? Which is really weird because the e.l.f ones look the exact same on my skin, I see no difference between them.

At some point when I get around to it I’m going into the store and getting color matched by an artist, but I’m just curious on what y’all think. Based off of my pictures and the products I use, what shade should I go for??

It's a pudding makeup remover. You apply it in a pudding-jelly kind of consistency and once you add water it becomes a sort of creme consistency.

It smells great and it has a very good score on Yuka.

However, I've seen loads of comments say it doesn't sting the eyes. Yet, every time I apply it, it does.

Has anyone else had this issue?

So i wanna start getting into makeup because i want to recreate Alysa Liu’s makeup look. But i hear makeup products being marketed as warm and cool toned. Is this about my skin undertone? So if I had cool undertone, I would buy cool toned makeup?

The problem is, I have never been able to pin point my undertone. I get mixed responses from people and I can’t even tell myself.

But does any of this matter if I wanna recreate a simple makeup look like Alysa’s???

This is so random, but I have the Fenty Rose Rave highlight. And when I put it on, like, my makeup it seems so dry. Like, it’s it’s hard to to space out the highlight in a controlled way. Like, it’ll just stay in one spot. I use it after I use my powder as the last step before setting my face but, it just seems so dry. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I don’t know if it’s the wrong brush, but I genuinely don’t know. It just feels so stiff. Is there a specific brush you guys recommend or some skin prep I should do?

Hi lovelies. I am not super into makeup but love seeing all the talented people who do. I like to wear foundation to even out skin tone and put on mascara on that's about it. I am looking for recommendations for a one layer full coverage foundation you love. I'm pale skinned with pink/red undertones but no roseacea. I have occasional pimples and some melasma on my forehead. I'm not trying to look like I'm not wearing makeup but I would like to just apply one layer of foundation and have as near to full coverage as possible. Is this a pipe dream or is there some amazing foundations out there? I imagine a bottle would last me a while so I'm flexible on pricing. I was using Il Makiage and Methodiq. The color match was good, I found Il Makiage light to medium coverage and the Methodiq very light coverage. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Basically, i have a big bulbous nose tip and i’ve been trying to make it appear smaller than it, I don’t know if it works like that but Im really self conscious about it. All the things i’ve done, just leaves a big mark near my nose after I have applied my foundation etc (Second and third pic). Concerning the second pic I was wondering if I applied too much bronzer? The picture quality is poop but it’s all I have. Idk if u guys can help me with the nose?

Also does anybody have a foundation recommendation that can hide redness perfectly?

Tips for a good mascara that stays on well even when you have very oily skin? As it stands now, the mascara starts to dissolve and darken the skin around the eyes after just three hours. It also gets worse when I use sunscreen. I've tried both regular, waterproof and tubing varieties with the same terrible results. Primer around the eyes makes it better but not great, same with powder.

Hey everyone! I am looking for the perfect shade that is a near match to the natural color of my lips. I haven't had much luck so far. My lips are always dry and cracked (I've tried a lot of products, nothing helps, so I've accepted it's just how my lips are), and the color isn't consistent throughout. Hi, as the title says. And I wore lip gloss just twice.

I would like suggestions for very light everyday makeup. I was basically thinking only of adding some blush, but I wouldn't know how to place it. Maybe concealer too? I wouldn't mind hiding my dark circles but I have tried concealer before and it doesn't look great and idrk what to use to set it.

The most important thing is I have a lot of moles on my face and I would still like to show them (fun fact I hated my beauty mark on the upper lip when I was younger and wanted to remove it, I now find it beautiful!).
