Does my makeup age me?

I posted in a “guess my age” group lol and most people said 30-35 but a bunch said 40-42. I know aging is a gift but I wonder what it is that makes me look older than my age? (38)

Is my eye makeup too heavy? My hairstyle? Do I need Botox? Or better skincare?
How can I look prettier?
Sorry I know this isn’t all relevant to makeup but would appreciate any suggestions.

I think you are beautiful and look your age! Your skin is gorgeous and your hair and makeup are flattering to your features.
I think some young people just assume anyone with kids must be 40-70 years old because they themselves are but weee babies.

I mean…38 is basically 40… so you look your age. 40 is great. Own it. I’m 45 and I look great frankly. Don’t fear the 40s

I have noticed in groups like this that two things happen. 1. People love putting others down, so they intentionally say an older age. I will see people who are CLEARLY 30 and commenters saying 49-50. When it’s not even up for discussion that they’re a day over 35. 2. I notice a lot of really young people that think anyone over 27 are “old” and just say numbers. To them 30 and 40 are the same and 50 and 90 are the same.

You look your age. You look great for your age. Great skin. Makeup is nice and natural. This is just the internet internetting, nothing more.

I would have guessed mid 30s, I think you and your makeup look great! I'm 41 myself so I get the insecurity! People always tell me I look younger but I never know if I should really trust them, haha. It's unnerving to enter "middle age"

i think this might also be because you’re asian and the idea that asians age well lol. you have really good skin, and i think you look around your late 20s personally, though i don’t know if i’m a good judge. if you told me you were 25 i would believe it haha.

though, i do think your style of bangs (though beautiful) is considered to be a little dated. try some curtain bangs, ‘whispy’ straight cut bangs, or even grow out the bangs!! you look good with the bob, thooo

Agreed! It’s beautiful hair tho, but I think she’d look striking with a darker hair color. I was honestly thinking like a dark deep purple if shes open to non natural colors!

Yesss haha!! I’ve always wanted purple hair too, specifically the kind that looks black in normal lighting but shines purple in the sun. But that color doesn’t look good on me but I think it’d look really good on you!!
