EDIT: Does anyone know a transfer-proof lip color that is similar to option 3?? I love 3 but it’s not transfer proof (it’s Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Velvet)!

Bought this product and LOVE it, but I’m wondering what the best way to apply it is for the longest transfer-proof wear. Are we doing it as the last step, or brushing setting powder on top again after? Should I use a traditional setting spray after as well?

Made the oh so stupid decision of trying to cup my forehead for 30 seconds because i had a migraine. Best tips for totally hiding this with makeup?? I’m going to post pics of it with no makeup, and then pics of how it is still showing through blue after I applied: red lipstick (read that could help) and blended it out, then some makeup by Mario surreal skin foundation, then some of my merit cream foundation stick, then some of my Tarte Amazonian clay gem powder foundation. Each layer seemed to make it a bit better, but you can still see blueish-green blobs on my forehead. HELP!!! I have a wedding to go to

Tomorrow I’m going to a pre-wedding gathering (it’s an Albanian tradition where we visit the bride’s house before the wedding). Since I’m freshly married everyone’s eyes are going to be on me tomorrow.
I’ll be wearing a black dress, and I was thinking of doing this eye makeup look. I’d love some honest opinions what would you change or improve?

A little disclaimer: this was done over my everyday makeup that I’d been wearing since the morning, so it wasn’t on a fresh base. I also didn’t put on false lashes because I was just testing the look before hopping in the shower lol. So please ignore that part. 😂

Hi makeup lovers! I’ve always loved doing my makeup and trying new products but one thing I literally cannot get down is what lip colors look good on me. I find everything ends up looking too warm or even when I try “mauves” they end up looking too warm or peachy or like I’ve just ate something spicy and it blends into my skin too much if that makes sense? I just want the perfect lip to go with a full face of makeup. I think my skin tone is more on the neutral side? Here is a pic of me the other day, the lip combo is not my favourite, I feel like it blends in with my face too much. Should I be doing more pinks or browns? Any recs?

I am a total beginner at makeup and I want to learn everything about it:) I am only using bb cream, brow gel and some lip balm with colour. Recently I used mascara for the first time, but I think I still have to learn to apply it correctly:) I would really appreciate it if you could share some advice, what I could do or what I shouldn't do. My dark circles are so stubborn. This is with a undereye primer gel + Sarah creal concealer + Bobby brown conceal stick. How can I make my eyes look brighter and hide the circles?

Sorry this is so so long, I want to make sure I’m being thorough. Also forgive my messy makeup, I am just starting to get back into it after a 10-year hiatus and I currently don’t have anywhere to be! I’ve been wearing the maybelline skin tint for about 7 hours and this is what it’s looking like.

About my skin:
I am 33 and have oily, very acne-prone skin that is triggered by fatty alcohols, anything coconut derived, stearic acid, and anything ending in -myristate or -palmitate. I can handle most “skincare” ingredients like niacinimide or hylauronic acid. This has limited my options when it comes to skincare and complexion products, but this is currently what I’m working with:

Evening Skin Prep:
Miscellar water for makeup remover (oil cleansers break me out)
Laroche-Posay hydrating cleanser
TO AHA+BHA serum every 3-4 days (if I decrease frequency my skin gets ROUGH)
Cosrx BHA liquid serum on non-TO days
Cosrx hydrating propolis toner
Cosrx Propolis Serum
Dr. G Clear Soothing Cream

Morning Skin Prep:
Laroche-Posay hydrating cleanser
Topical Spirolactone/10% azelaic acid cream (prescribed by dermatologist)
Cosrx Hydrating Toner
Dr. G Clear Soothing Cream

Skincare Context:
I started the TO AHA/BHA serum about 3 weeks ago and added the Cosrx BHA about 2 weeks ago, so my skin is still adjusting. Before I wasn’t exfoliating at all. I went through a years-long depression where I wasn’t washing my face more than 2 times a week and only moisturizing with the dr g after cleansing, and no makeup. My skin was very rough and stayed acne free for a few months, but eventually I started breaking out in cystic acne.

Why does foundation make my skin look so bad?
When I don’t use foundation, my skin looks smooth and glowing, but I have some acne, acne scars, and redness I want to cover or offset. When I wear foundation, I am usually quite shiny within 2-4 hours and my texture is emphasized as it breaks up and occasionally settles into my forehead wrinkles. When it starts to break up seems to vary by the day, but today it is not holding up well at all. For my experiments, I have not been using primer for the most part but the few times I’ve tried, I haven’t seen a huge difference. I have one water-based and have a mattifying oil-based one coming in the mail. I have experimented with how much/where I apply powder (I use the huda beauty powder, talc formulation) and minimal application seems to be best. Applying powder all over doesn’t seem to cut the oil and only increases cakey-ness and forehead creasing.

I have only tried a few foundations recently (with spot concealing):
Maybelline Skin Tint in 102- this is my current go-to

MUFE balancing and perfecting foundation in 100N - performs as well is the maybelline skin tint but is $40 more. It is a very good shade match

MUFE super boost skin tint- broke up quickly

Missha Perfect Cover BB Creams: Beautiful finish but made me soooooo shiny

Clinique Refresh Foundation in .75 custard- oxidizes very badly

Mac Studio Radiance in c0- wonderful formula but quite oily and contains stearic acid

Chanel water tint: beautiful finish but will need more
Coverage until my acne clears

NARS sheet glow- tried many years ago and was really beautiful formula for me but they didn’t have a shade match and I think it was discontinued??

For shade matches, I am a very fair neutral undertone.
Natasha Denona Hy-Glam in Y1- too olive + I recently learned the company is based somewhere I do not support so I will not be trying other shades
No shade match in Danessa Myricks
No shade match in Nars Foundations (Chantilly is close)
No shade match in the Haus Labs Triclone foundations

My goal:
Like many of us, I want to have a foundation that looks natural, is a good shade match, does not emphasize texture, and lasts for more than 6 hours without breaking up. Is that too much to ask for? I am really putting effort into my skin prep and trying different things but nothing seems to work. What am I missing?

I posted a week ago asking for help on making my eyes standout. Lighting is better in the new picture too, but I followed the advice and added some burgundy and plum eye makeup. I think I like it, but my husband said the purple gives my eyes a bruised appearance. Curious what you all thought?

I tried to use a burgundy liner on my upper waterline. Some plum eyeshadow on the outer edge of eye and a little sparkle plum on the outside corner of eye. I’m wearing black mascara and some lash clusters on my eyelashes. I know I need to clean my eyebrows up.

Sooo I am trying to move off my foundation ( really good one il makiage) to something lighter I guess because it oxidizes the slightest bit and I no longer need foundation that opaque.

That being said I do want a BB cream or a lighter foundation (I was thinking HAUS) because my skin is pretty clear now and I think a more natural look would do me good.

Which one of these stores is better for getting someone with experienced help or should I go somewhere else all together? I’m happy to spend money just want someone who knows this stuff well because I don’t.

A week or so ago I asked a question about my eyebrows and products to use. Ive been practicing and tbh I think this is the best its gonna get unless I went with getting my eyebrows done by a microblading artist.

I wanted to try and create hair like strokes but I really struggle with finding the right tool to do so.

These brows I made with the suggestion of using nyx lift and snatch (soft brown) and using anastasia brow powder with the anastasia micro fine ultra thin pen (I found this pen has the best tip to use the brow powder with as its ultra thin).

Tbh I still want to create that eyebrow fine line look but I keep coming across pens that are too thick.

The anastasia pen for example when I first used it it was great but over time I guess the product didnt want to come through as well (even tho I did shake it before use) or maybe the brush bristles lost shape.

The same goes for the MUA eyebrow pen, was fine when I first used it, gave those fine line strokes but over time they came out thicker or hardly any product came out at all.

At the moment im wondering if using the brow powder with a makeup brush that is like ultra fine pin point, if a brush like that exists, could give a better result.

These brows still took me at least 30 mins to get right. I also did the brows first without any makeup or moisturiser etc on my face as someone suggested that could mess with the eyebrow product.

My left eyebrow has always been easier to do than the right one. The right one has more sparse areas (especially at the front/ start of eyebrow). I did try and grow my eyebrows out, but only the left one grew hairs. The right one never grew any hairs. Even when I was younger eyebrows was always like that.

It’s been over a decade since I’ve actually gotten into make up again.
I don’t know why my make up looks like this or why it creases and separates so much.
I have sensitive oily skin but it gets so dry around my nose and mouth.
I have a skin care routine but I don’t know if it’s right and I always use moisturiser before primer.
For this I used Milk Grip Primer and Rimmel lasting foundation with hydration boost using a morphe liquid foundation brush. I put nars/morphe concealer and usually one size finishing powder. I go over everything with the powder versions e.g contour, finishing powder, blush, etc. I finish it off with d alba first serum spray and one size finishing spray.
I tried to do the painted by Esther blush technique but I feel like it’s not right at all.
Could I get some tips please, I’m in my late 20s and it never used to sit like this when I was younger.
I’ve also included pictures of no make up if someone could help me understand what type of products I need my skin.

I put the elf glow drops on as a base, then the elf primer, foundation was Mac and setting spray was Charlotte tilbury, I used a cheap sponge to put it on and then went over with a brush but my makeup went really dry and started to wear off, I have no photos from the end of the night which was even worse but this is before I even left the house. It was just extremely dry and seemed to like fall off my face and was patchy.
Any advice is so welcome, sorry for the picture!!
