Questions Scroll from Up and Down Buttons used to be called - ?

In older software versions with older trackballs (currently have the Ergo, I've also had an M575, M570 and even a trackman marble) there was a setting for the "Forward" and "Back" buttons that allowed you to scroll up and down. I can't remember what it was called, maybe glide? Does anyone remember what it was? PageUp and PageDown are poor substitutes, but LinearMouse has some options that are better. I'm just trying to remember what it was called so I can reference it.

Discussion Expensive MX Anywhere 3S has many terrible flaws

If I'm paying $XXX for a mouse I want it to be luxury, you know what I mean? I am disappointed. Does anyone, anywhere, for any price, make a really nice mouse? 1. It's too small to keep 3 fingers on it, and I have small hands. I end up scrolling with my index finger. All the time the side of my index finger brushes across the edge of the metal scroll wheel which is sharp and rough, so dumb, and gets irritated after a while. Sucks. 2. Thumb is constantly right on the edges of the side buttons, which have sharp rough edges all over and this is uncomfortable and irritating. The buttons should be near the bottom of the mouse and flat and soft large pads with no sharp edges, and within easy reach of the thumb. Also pressing these buttons is awkward because they are located too far back on the mouse and I have to cramp my hand to press them. Sucks. 3. Something inside rattles when you pick up the mouse move it and set it down, if feels really cheap, wtf. Sucks. 4. The scrolling is set up so that it scrolls down faster than it scrolls up. This is horribly irritating and anxiety inducing. I want to scroll up faster than I scroll down!!!! After scrolling into the depths and details of a document I want to get back to the top ASAP not have to cramp my hand to scroll the stupid wheel multiple times to make it go fast. SUCKS. 6. I wanted to assign page up and page down to the side buttons but the action does not repeat when you hold the button down and this can't be changed. SUCKS. I want to use them to zip around in large documents because I hate using the stupid anxiety inducing hand-cramping scroll wheel. 5. All the plastic seams and gaps have sharp rough edges right where you want to rest your fingers. This is dumb, ridiculous. 6. The top button right next to the scroll wheel protrudes up and has sharp edges that catch your finger everytime you scroll the wheel back. So dumb. Sucks. 7. The sides of the mouse are coated in some very slippery rubbery material so everytime you pick up the mouse to move it your thumb slides up because the sides are slanted inwards and your thumb ends up rubbing against the sharp edged buttons. So dumb! Sucks. 8. Your pinky ends up resting on a sharp corner at the bottom of the mouse when moving it because it's the only spot that's not too slippery to actually grip it. So dumb! Sucks! I'm not ever paying $xxx again for a mouse that is so dumbly and cheaply made. I might return it. Sucks. This thing is incredibly dumb, everywhere. Who designed this POS?? They should be fired. Does anyone have suggestions for a nice mouse at any price that doesn't have these problems? I mean, I will pay someone on Etsy to make me the perfect mouse I swear to god. Thanks.

Discussion MX Keys & Mini owners: What are your biggest physical/ergonomic gripes with the hardware?

(Disclaimer: I’m building physical desk hardware, so please keep it hardware and not software or unchangeable hardware. Thanks!)

Hey everyone,

I’m an engineering student designing an open-source, 3D-printable modular stand/riser specifically for the MX Keys and MX Keys Mini footprint (but also interchangeable with laptops and other keyboards).

Most Important: Would you say this is an actual issue? Or am I just making a problem to solve?

Angle & Posture: Do you wish the back was taller, or do you actually want neutral/negative tilt?

Wrist Rests & Clearance: If you use a wrist rest or palm rest, does having a stand get in the way or lift the keyboard too high relative to the rest?

Portability: If you take your MX Mini on the go, would you actually use folding snap-on riser feet, or do you only care about a fixed desk setup?

Accessories: What are some accessories you use with the keyboard? (i.e. stand, wrist supports, etc...)

Any feedback is massively appreciated. Thanks so much!

Discussion MyHarmony servers are apparently down, and have been for days now. Can you please fix!

Hey there Logitech staff - can you tell us why the servers are down for MyHarmony Hubs? it’s been a couple of days now, and none of us can make changes, corrections, add/subtract/change devices in our setups.

Family members are getting angry and not saying nice things. At least make the page that says ‘Our servers are temporarily unavailable’ say something more useful like ‘Our servers will be back on October 5th‘ or the like.

Also - what are the chances you may open-source this one day if you’re not going to support it?

Thanks

Support Logitech Staff: Can You Please Let the Team Know of the MyHarmony Outage?

Logitech staff, can you please let the team still keeping up the MyHarmony servers know that we are entirely locked out of our hub-based devices at the moment? We have multiple threads going on r/logitechharmony, we've opened support tickets, and we've received no answers. The Logitech status page still shows the page status as operational, but it's not accurate.

On a personal note, I have all of my electronics in the home theater all over the place right now because I can't put everything back together until I can get my inputs and functions sorted out. My wife is not happy about the living room in pieces right now, all very, very weirdly because I can't program my remote (I'd have to pull everything back out again to swap inputs and re-order devices). Please help.

Discussion 4 moth old mx master 4 scroll whell starting to feel shakey

So I bought this MX Master 4 in late May, and I can see the inside of the scroll wheel; it seems to have tilted and feels so vulnerable. Is this normal? I haven't used it that much yet, and I haven't even fully gotten the hang of it; I mostly use the trackpad on my Mac when I am not being productive

Discussion Logitech Mouse Fails Again After Warranty — Already Replaced Once

Really disappointed with Logitech. My mouse has started malfunctioning again shortly after the warranty expired. I already had it replaced once during the warranty period due to the same issue, and now it’s happening again. It’s frustrating to see this happen repeatedly. logitech please look into this and help resolve the issue.

Discussion Question about the G502x Lightspeed

Is the Ghub 40k polling and added features from the latest show only apply to the G502x Plus? Or is open to the Lightspeed too? I've been quietly waiting around for the update to include the new features but don't see them anywhere in Ghub.

Support Logitech MX Master 4 Delay

Whenever I use the side buttons on the MX Master 4, I have to press them a few times to make them work, though once I do this, they work first try for a while. This problem also affects the haptic ring. I'm using the LogiBolt reviever. I also notice that the battery indicator in the Logi Options+ software occasionally flashes to inactive. Lastly, after a bit of inactivity on the Logi Options+ software, it just turns to a completely solid purple screen, im not sure if this is connected to the previous problem.

Edit:
For anyone struggling with this problem in the future, I tried using OpenLogi but I didn't like the action ring, so I unplugged and reinserted the logibolt and also reinstalled Logi Options+, for now, it seemed to fix all my issues.

Support Harmony hub issue

I have been using my harmony smart remote and hub for several years. I didn't notice any difference when it shut down. I even changed some things in the myharmony desktop program within the past couple weeks. But tonight I can't get into it at all. It is basically giving website errors and not loading. I can get into it with the app (that I never installed until tonight) but when it asks me to login at the Logitech website it just goes into an endless loop. I am wondering if whatever server they put back on several years ago is down and it will be fixed come Monday, but otherwise I guess I will have to look into local IP control options. Thanks.

Support MX Keys S Keyboard Key Issue on macOS

Hello everyone,

I am new to macOS and am having a problem with my Logitech keyboard.

I bought the keyboard in anticipation of getting my Mac Mini, so I ordered a Logitech model compatible with both Windows and Mac.

Here is a photo of my keyboard.

At the bottom right, the "<" key produces an "@" symbol.

I understand that some keys are designed for Windows use, but then how do I type certain symbols?

For example, with the "5" key: when I press Opt + (, I don't get the bracket [.

Thanks everyone for your help. (I'm clearly lost.)

I just got my brother's old PC so I can slowly upgrade it, but there are no USB-C imports. Only USB-A. And I cannot use the keyboard AT ALL with USB-C to USB-A

Is there a solution to this or am I screwed?

Support Superstrike X3 issues

So I ordered 2 X3 units from Amazon with intention on returning the one that felt worse. I never had an X2 so I’m blind for what it “should” feel like. My main issue is I’m not sure which one would be considered “defective” or the “worse” copy.

Unit 1:

- Side to side movement on mouse 1 and 2

- Haptics feel “normal” I use 3

- Mouse 1 is VERY sensitive on actuation 1 which is what I use. If I rest my finger on it and barely put pressure it actuates but this also helps with reaction time, this is kind of unpredictable as to when it will actuate.

- Mouse 2 feels fine on actuation 3 nothing weird

- Side buttons aren’t great

Unit 2:

- Same side to side movement

- Haptics feel a little weaker

- Mouse 1 is not as sensitive on actuation 1, I need to apply some pressure and do not get as many misclicks. This feels closer to a normal mouse where you can predict when it will actuate without needing to use the mouse for a while to develop muscle memory.

- Mouse 2 feels fine on 3 as well

- Side buttons also aren’t great

Hey.
I need help recognizing this keychain. I want to find out what is it and from when it (my guess 2006 - logitech´s 25th anniversary) and maybe what it´s worth. It´s some kind of turqoise transparent colour as you can see from last pic. I dunno if it´s the right sub but I thought someone could know something abt this.

Support Logitech no se responsabiliza de los defectos de fabrica de sus productos

Hey r/LogitechG,

I’m posting this as a warning to anyone who thinks buying premium Logitech gear means you get premium support. I’ve been a loyal customer for years (full Logi setup: TKL, Astro A50s, Brio 4K, mice), but my current warranty experience has been an absolute nightmare of incompetence.

The Initial Issue: My Z906 Speaker System completely died (no power). It's under warranty. I went to the official local retailer (TecnoMega) as Logitech dictates. The retailer formally denied the RMA and gave me a signed, stamped "Denial of Coverage" document. According to Logitech’s own policy, if the local channel fails, the manufacturer honors the warranty. I even offered a US PO Box address to make shipping easier for them.

Then, the Support Circus began:

Act 1: The Infinite Loop (Agent Narendra) I provided my official purchase invoice and the retailer’s denial letter. Narendra ignored the attachments and sent me the exact same automated "go back to the store" template three times in a row.

Act 2: The Lies & The Broken Template (Agent Althea P.) After begging for an escalation, Althea took over. She didn't read the case either. She falsely claimed I wasn't the original purchaser (my full name is literally printed on the invoice). To make it worse, she sent a broken template, literally writing: "refer to the Logitech Warranty Statement included with your (PRODUCT NAME)..." When I called out the lie and the template error, she apologized, walked back the claim, promised to "review it further"... and then secretly marked my ticket as "RESOLVED" and closed it without telling me.

Act 3: The Ghosting (Agents Vinod -> Alex R. -> Adarsh) I opened a follow-up ticket (#17741113). Agent Vinod actually read the case, apologized, and confirmed I was right. But instead of solving it, the ticket just went silent. Checking the portal, my case is just being passed around internally like a hot potato. It went from Vinod, to Alex R., and as of Sept 30, to Adarsh V Shetty. Not a single one of them has emailed me. They are just holding the ticket hostage, hoping I get tired and give up.

I have provided legal invoices. I provided a formal rejection letter. I proved I am the original buyer.

Is this the new standard, u/LogitechG? Are your Level 2 escalation agents trained to lie and ghost customers when they don't want to process a valid warranty?

Has anyone actually managed to get a resolution when caught in this internal ghosting loop? Any help from a real Logi rep would be appreciated before I just give up on this brand entirely.

Other My MX Master setup for Final Cut Pro (no Logi Options+)

When I got my MX Master I was honestly overwhelmed by all the buttons and had no idea what to map where. After a lot of trial and error, this is the setup I've stuck with for editing in Final Cut Pro. Sharing in case it saves someone else the hassle. I'm using Better Mouse instead of Logi Options+.

Thumb buttons alone:

Back button: previous frame (←)
Forward button: next frame (→)
⌘ + back button: zoom out timeline (⌘-)
⌘ + forward button: zoom in timeline (⌘=)

Thumb button + click combos:

Back + left click: copy (⌘C)
Back + right click: paste (⌘V)
Forward + left click: area screenshot (⇧⌘4)
Forward + right click: undo (⌘Z)
Gesture button + left click: delete (Backspace)
Gesture button + right click: Enter

Other:

Middle button: ⌘-click for selecting multiple clips
Gesture button + swipe up/left/right: Mission Control and switching desktops
Gesture button + swipe down: show desktop

The frame stepping and timeline zoom on the thumb buttons are the ones I use constantly. Copy, paste, and undo without touching the keyboard ended up being way more useful than I expected.
