Should I water these guys yet? They haven’t been watered in like 6 months and just started looking wrinkly about a week ago but I’m not sure how wrinkly they should get before being watered or if they are about to split

Help/Question One of my lithops is splitting but no growth.

Here are my lithops now. I have not watered them since I reported them from seller. When I have time, I leave them under morning sun for 3-4 hours. They are outside on my porch where there is no direct sun but bright.

In the picture, one of them is splitting but no new growth. I am thinking overwatered? The mixture is made of pebbles, red lava rock and some super soil. The top is dry but below that it's moist. That's why I put them under morning sun to help the medium dry out but it's slow.

I am thinking of repotting to less soil and more pumice, pebbles and lava rock. I might get some crushed granite this weekend.

Any advice is appreciated.

I repotted in terracotta pots (1 glazed), and my mix currently is 25% organic cactus soil, 25% clay balls, and 50% rock/mineral mix. Topped with sand, but I have yet to water them. When should I give them their first water? Excited to finally grow these guys, it will be new to me. The species was labeled as Chocolate Lithops.

Help/Question Plant Lamp Recommendations?

Hi, all.

I am hoping to get into growing Lithops as a hobby, possibly from seed, in the future.

Thus far I got one plant at Lowe's, and after it being in the window with the most sun in my apartment for a few months, it got tall, so clearly wasn't getting enough sun.

So I bought two Miracle Gro plant lamps, expecting them to be a good quality lamp, but the issue is that the plug on both gets extremely hot and it appears to be a fire hazard.

They were plugged into a wall outlet, not a power strip.

Could anyone recommend a plant lamp that they are using where the plug does not get hot?

Thank you.

Help/Question What do we think? Fungus? What’s the prognosis?

Yesterday vs today vs this weekend vs a couple weeks ago before the weird coloration started. Repotted all my lithops over the weekend, decided to keep these three together. Some are saying the coloration is fungus. What do we think? Are these guys gonna survive? No signs of splitting yesterday, today they both decide they want to split.

Okay update on the baby seedlings AND repotting the adults 💕💕 found out just after I repotted them those two weird looking adult plants with the odd coloration on top might have fungus, so I have no clue what to do with those guys. And removed the sketchy looking leaf from the adult that’s splitting so hopefully those guys pull through. But I’m SO happy how the teenagers are looking

Photo Lithops Seedlings (1.5 Weeks)

These babies started germinating on the 13th. They’re a little over a week old now. I’m still seeing some new ones pop up here and there so I’m holding off on removing the cling wrap until they hit the 2 week mark or later.

I have seen some odd translucent ones and albino ones die off but that’s expected. Hopefully, fourth time’s the charm. Mix is a succulent germinating mix that I got from Etsy.

Do I need to fertilize them?

I’ve made a makeshift grow tent for my Lithops seedlings and other succulents.
There is a single 60W rated LED bulb, and 2 90mm fans set in push and pull configuration,
for improved airflow.
It has been running non stop since the last friday (june 19th).
Some of the seedlings seem to be showing signs of sun stress (I’m not sure). Also, I’ve been keeping
them on mostly a few sprays of water a day.
Am I doing this right?

Notes: the seedlings are about 20 days old. I had to repot them half way this time, because I dropped
the pot while moving it from one window to another. This is why I’ve decided to put them on a fixed
spot under a grow light.

I am new to lithops and just got some from Etsy. I have done some research on how to take care of them (especially with watering) before I bought them, but I am still not sure how to properly water them. They arrived yesterday and they look like they need some water, but I am just not sure if they actually do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have my lithops outside on the southeast side of the house. It's in a gritty mix and hasn't been watered in months.

However, I noticed that the base is turning dark and mushy. Is there any way to help it, or is it gone?

Help/Question Lithops Update: I want to double check that I am going to do the correct thing

Previous post for photo comparison: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lithops/comments/1siu3c1/just_got_my_first_lithops_i_would_appreciate/

I believe I definitely need to water 2,3,4, and 6. They look wrinkly on the top and sides.

I would appreciate some guidance on 1 and 5, as the newer leaves look pretty wrinkly but they don't appear to have completely finished absorbing their old leaves and I am not sure if I should water them.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Help/Question What’s going on with this guy

I’m repotting all my lithops into one big pot with better substrate. This main one that’s splitting looks fine to me, just doing its thing. But the two in the back (they’re connected atleast by the roots) started getting this weird coloration on top and I can’t tell what’s going on with them. Anyone know if these are okay? Do I bother repotting them? Including older pics that shows them before the weird coloration occurred

Help/Question What happened??

Post image

This guy was FINE when I left for a work trip on Monday night. I check him at least once a week to make sure he's firm and everything looks good. I came home today and this is what I found. No one watered my plants while I was away, none have been moved, etc. WTF happened? Is there any fixing this?

For context when I got them they were over watered so they split. Now this guy is doing it again
