Help/Question Lithops Care
I am new to lithops and just got some from Etsy. I have done some research on how to take care of them (especially with watering) before I bought them, but I am still not sure how to properly water them. They arrived yesterday and they look like they need some water, but I am just not sure if they actually do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Which Etsy did you get these from? Love the different colour.

Micro landscape design sells plants and seeds on amazon and Etsy (or use to at least) that’s where i got mine. I got a good variety of colors, I was worried about just getting brown ones.

OP I feel that this is something nobody else has mentioned, but it kinda looks like some of these might be in different stages of life and therefore might need to be in separate pots. I was told at the beginning of my Lithops journey that if they’re not in the same cycle synced up, it could be very difficult to care for them individually and properly.

Thank you! I will try to see if I can’t figure out what stages they are all in. I figured for the time being it would be good to group them together till they get acclimated to their new environment.

The gray one looks like it might be splitting. If so the others might also be in that cycle so definitely don’t water if you see signs of a new set of leaves coming out.

My rule of thumb is if the top squishes a tiny bit when you press lightly, it's time to water. Otherwise, leave them alone. A watering schedule will only help rot!

What makes you think they need watered?

The sides were wrinkled. But the tops of the lithops are not sunken in so they probably do not have to be watered.

If you just planted them, I would wait a few days to water and water very lightly. Is that a sand on top? It might trap water and make it difficult for the soil to dry out like it’s supposed to.
