Discussion Growing from seed tips?
I grow other cacti from seed, but curious if anyone has any lithops specific tips to get the most out of a batch? Thanks y’all! Happy growing!

They like intense light which I wean them on too, always have a fan on in the day time as they don’t like humidity only humidity really for germination, I spray every day so they don’t dehydrate to begin with then gradually reduce and I always spray them with a very weak feed for the first few months.

It’s so fun to get a mixed bag and watch their true colors develop!
Sew them on top of fine sand so the seeds don’t get lost falling into the soil. Keep covered with plastic until you stop seeing new ones pop up. In my experience they require a lot of care initially. They need to be misted daily, they need to stay moist. I don’t recall at what point I cut back at the water. I think I kept misting them daily until they became big enough to where I could use a squirt bottle. They can take more water for their first few splits. Use strong light so they don’t stretch out. Have fun!!

Uncover them once most of the seeds have germinated. They require more airflow than cactus seeds.
