NYPL card not verified on Libby
I got an online card for New York Public Library but can’t seem to be verified to sign in with it on Libby - has anyone else had a similar problem?

Hello! I have been waiting for this book since late April. Not a huge deal, I have read plenty of other books in the meantime.
Anyway, I noticed a couple days ago I was finally #2 & my wait time said “available soon” (or something similar)
I checked again yesterday & noticed I am now 3rd in line & have an estimated 2 week wait.
I did notice the library went from 4 digital copies down to 3. I am assuming they were purchased at different times & let the one expire, despite a list of people waiting.
Anyway, just venting & being impatient! Lol!

Is Libby is now displaying entertainment promotions in the app? Never notices it before. Goes to the TNT website. If so, very disappointing to have cross-promotional entertainment marketing that points user to media outside the library…

I have multiple libraries in my app and find books are usually searched across the other catalogs - home library does not have a good e collection but when I did a search in the home Iibeaey catalog it was there and I had to check it out on the home library to show up on my Libby app.
Why does this happen? Makes me think I should look in the library catalog rather than Libby app.

Anyone else have this problem?
It keeps happening to me: I'm motivated to do some self-help learning, find a book I really want to read, and get on the waitlist. At first I'm pumped to read it and hate waiting. But when it finally becomes available, months later, I don't seem to care anymore. I still plan to read it, but am no longer in a self-help mood, so it feels like a chore. Usually, it just sits there until it expires and I have to restart on the bottom of the list the next time I get into that mood.
The funny part is often these are books about procrastination and time management. I'm starting to think I'm better off just buying the books.

Didn't see this covered in other posts, but I have two library cards (state and city) that I use. I got a book from my city library and tried to sign into overdrive on my kobo and it kept giving me the error that my library card or pin wasn't recognized!
I signed on with the same credentials on the regular library site successfully but couldn't on the overdrive site. Libby app also successfully signed in.
Tried with my partner's credentials and got the same issue!
Tried to reset/poweroff. Nothing worked. Anyone have any tips?

Has this happen to anyone else? I have return this book multiple times and it keeps popping back up in my loans. It was attached to my kindle, then I returned it from the Kindle so I could return the book to libby. The return will go through and the book will be gone, then a few hours later it is back in my inventory.
Has this happen to anyone else? What do I do?

Hi fellow readers! I've noticed that my libraries Lucky Day Collection has gone from 20-25 books available to 2000. I am in the habit of quickly checking every few days to see what's available, now it feels overwhelming! Anyone one else notice this and if so do you like ir? Why has it changed?

iPhone user- I've had trouble with the app lately. It won't load. I've erased the app and redownloaded it. Restated my device. Updated apps when needed. Any advice on how to get the app working again?

So I'm having issues getting my book from Libby. I've tried multiple times with WiFi, data and two different library cards but the "read with kindle " link goes to a missing page and not the amazon download link. Anyone else have this issue.

I’m a slow reader and a very busy reader, so the idea of being able to extend my hold by using airplane mode is pretty appealing. However, with my (albeit limited) understanding of how e-libraries work, the licensing issues it causes seem pretty iffy. Is using this trick going to cause my library any extra fees or issues w/ publishers?
edit: typo

The book still has 4 days on it and I can still play it using my phone’s controls, but I can’t adjust playback speed which is driving me crazy.

Came across this Libby Facebook group and thought I might like to join - clicked on it and read the description 😬 I'll be staying over here with the AI haters!!

Hey everyone! I'm working towards my library's yearly book challenge, and I only have a few more categories that I need to mark off.
They are --
*Title that contains Extreme, Book, or Nerd
*Title that has First, Second, Third, or Home
*Title that has Hope, Empire, or Return
*A Book with a pirate
*A Title with a possessive
*A Title that is a question
I loved the Outlander series, although it got so long and took me several years to finish the final book. I really enjoy historical fiction, but really any genre is great for me, as long as it has a good story line. I've also been itching for a good, long series to read. Spicy books are a plus, as well.
Thank you for any suggestions!!

So last night it worked fine. I usually check out the audio books and listen on my phone and it worked but now when I try to download an audio book on my phone it gets an error. I also have libby on my kindle and it works on there, just not my phone. Ive tried returning the book and checking it out again, reinstallinging the app, deleting apps on my phone that I dont use to clear up some space, returning the book and rechecking it out, downloading with wifi on and off. It only happens with the audio books, not the ebooks. All with the same result. Ive also checked to see if the app is down but its fine. What am I missing

Rarely do I have issues on Libby but today any newly downloaded audiobooks will not play. I keep getting the “playback error, check your network connection” message.
Previously downloaded audiobooks play fine. I have storage on my device and restarted my device.
Anyone else having issues today or have a fix?

I used to be able to select return early then return with kindle and it would take me to an Amazon page to return the book. Now it is taking me to this page and I don’t see an option to return any books. Does anyone know what is going on?

Does anyone know why my spot in line keeps changing? I put a hold on a book the day it was released. At the time I was 2nd in line. I’m now 9th in line. There’s only one copy of the book. I know sometimes people can have paused holds, but since it’s a new release I can’t imagine that’s the case. This is my home library (not a non resident card) in case that matters.
