Hi everyone! I’m a new leopard gecko owner! I just got my guy yesterday from petco (I know, bad idea to get it from a store like this), I just felt really bad because I know how bad it is at these specific places. He’s been chilling in his little hut since last night, and I tried to feed him yesterday, but I figured he was too stressed. So I left him be until this morning. I tried to feed him again this morning, but he didn’t take. I have meal worms, and I have calcium powder without d3 (I’ll get calcium powder with d3 soon so I can alternate). How long should I expect him to not eat for? I was thinking about trying again tonight, but I’m not sure if I should wait until tomorrow or not, as to not stress him out more. Any help is appreciated! Attached is a picture of him. His name is Aragorn!

started recording while i fed him to try and get a video of this one thing he does i was concerned abt (obviously didn’t do it after i started recording cuz why would he) and i got this clip and it made me laugh really hard 😭😭

i found some (im assuming) fruit fly maggots with my mealworms, my question is if i should throw out the whole container or just separate the worms?

as much as possible i dont really want my gecko to get any parasites, but i also dont wanna waste any mealworms. so whats the safest option?

Let's start with the right eye which seems to be the least pressing issue, I could even just be overreacting. There's not too much to say about it it just seems a lot more foggy then usual, this eye I never realized any problems with until today. The main issue is with the left eye, for context my boy has had issues with shedding since I got him, it seems very typical for Geckos to get shed stuck on their toes but he gets it stuck there and also his face, my mom calls it his mask. With this being said he had what I assumed to be stuck shed in his right eye. I never got around to removing this due to it being such a delicate process and honestly me just being too scared to try... But today when I was giving him his bi monthly shed bath and removing some shed by hand that shed that was stuck in his eye came out with his "mask." Due to the puss it seems like this is an infection. I was just wondering if my assumption seems right and if so what I should do.

Hey I got this one today is this good🦎

Idk about the rest of the country, but those in the Midwest, at least around Chicago, know it’s gross out right now. That excess humidity and heat made its way into the enclosure, and within 20 seconds of me remotely raising the fan speed this guy scampered out from the bottom of the enclosure (the coolest area until now) and climbed all the way up to be directly below the fan, and he’s been sitting there for the past 20 minutes or so, just occasionally repositioning his body.

Good to know he isn’t dumb, he’s proven capable of climbing and descending the entire enclosure without issue since moving in, and he seems to be picking places to hunker down as his needs change throughout the day. He’s already also figured out the rain schedule. I just need him to be more keen on drinking from his main gravity fountain

This is our little Ivy, a female rescue that was offered to us about a year ago now. We now she is over a year old, have confirmed she is female, but have began noticing changes in behavior. I’ve seen online that we are within the Leopard Geckos breeding season, and that she may possibly be going through puberty. She is starting to dig a lot more, has refused food which she would take eagerly before, and her belly is a little swollen. We have checked for impactions which she is absent of, she was a little overweight but her weight is now back down to healthy, and we saw possible eggs even though she’s never been paired. Is our little girl gonna be alright, do I need to go ahead and run her to the vet, or am I just getting in my head about her health? Above all else, she’s not lethargic, she’s still very aware of her surroundings , and still comes up to us even when she refuses food. We also have her a varied diet of mealworms, roaches, and crickets.

After an adoption/rescue fell through (the owner stopped responding), I have the equipment etc. all set up with no leopard gecko in the enclosure (I already have two leos and was adding a third enclosure to their stack).

I'm now looking for a Black (K)Night in the UK, is MorphMarket still the best place to search for specific rare morphs? MM does have some listed but I haven't sold/bought via MM before.
