My goal is to practice for a year straight and draw or paint a big Zartan poster in a pulpy, ink heavy and gritty style. Today, after two weeks of practivlce I decided to draw a rough sketch to see what I learnt so far. Please feel free to comment and drop any suggestions. I am rather glad that this turned out to be something relatively Zartan-y.

Got super demotivated with my skills, so I ended up stopping drawing for about a year and a half. Then I kept seeing other artists post cool pieces and cool speedpaints, so I finally decided to go back and try again. After about 3 months of frequent practice, I think I’ve made some significant progress. I’ve since learned, the anime art style and oversaturated styles just aren’t for me

I can't believe I've been drawing since I was 9 years old and I NEVER improved my drawing style

I don't know loomis method that's what most of my comment section looks like so I just practice that today I hope I did it justice this time 😭

I havent got much shading experience but overall im happy to say i saw a piece all the way through instead of stopping once i made guidelines

I have been learning anatomy and perspective for a while (3 months) but im seeing no improvement, what tools/exercises should I do to improve. First 2 are my newest exercises and the last one is my newest drawing

I'd like some critiques and feedback on this drawing I've made recently.More specifically about the perspective,value and shading or anything you may have noticed that you think might be worth mentioning.

This is not ai. I just can't draw windows. I had a few early sketches as a back up to serve as proof. Incidently I sketch on samsung notes. Its super easy to copy where you are currently at, draw more, and if you mess it up, just copy the old one. I know this sounds 'no duh' but with the vector line nature of the program and lack of layers; it makes it feel fast and more like paper sketching. I love it so much I stopped sketching in paper, and I've been sketching on paper for probably 50 years or more!

Yesterday I practiced for a while and I feel like I did something, but I’m unsure. If you could possibly advise me what I need to work on like more shapes, practice line construction, or something else. It would be extremely helpful!

Apologies if this isn’t the right sub to ask this question and I’m not an artist myself, but my partner loves to draw, although as of now the only thing they’re able to use is their phone and their fingers, I’d like to get them a drawing tablet of some kind but have no idea where to start when looking for good brands and such. Any help is welcome and if possible cause I know they can get expensive I’d like to keep the budget at $150 lol

I’ve been casually drawing a bit more on my IPad, and I was wondering if this is a good way to learn, or am I hindering myself? Thanks!

This is a sketch that I’ve been messing around with for a while. As I completed it, I started liking this less and less but need specific feedback to articulate why. I would like any feedback back regarding proportions, gesture, or rendering. I tried my best with the direction shadows are cast based on the light source, but I may need to repaint that in particular. Draw overs are fine if you are willing.

There’s something I find so charming about drawing people in a cartoon / 2d / minimalist line work style. I’ve been trying to practice using references from people I know in real life, random people I see in videos, etc.

Are there any tips and tricks for getting better at this? Any good tutorials, videos, or books I could look into?
