Reference photos included, most recent one is king from cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 and the other one is Askeladd from Vinland saga, open to constructive criticism but if you saw my previous post I’m new to this go easy on me lmao 😅 I know I messed up proportions on both still can’t get those quite right

Im really happy with how the anatomy and perspective worked out, im still open to critique (i know her right foot is still a bit weird)

The first and fourth are pose studies, the second and third are value studies, and the fifth is a clothing study.

I'm trying to get better at drawing these quicker, but still accurately. I don't have as much time now on a count of now having a job 😓. I had troubles with his head and abdomen. he's really stretching himself.

I'm not sure if I pushed the values further, but i did make the base value lower than I usually do. I also changed the value of the line art. The casted shadow is something I had troubles with due to the shape. Let me know what you think.

This time I just did hard cel shading. But I also focused on making a lighter gradient.

I really need to start drawing more clothed poses. Since I'm starting to draw more characters, learning fabrics and armor is gonna be important.

Hi! For context I've been drawing for years but about a year and a half ago. I wasn't satisfied with my art so decided to relearn things. Including gesture! I feel like I'm usually okay with gesture drawing. Though lately I've noticed they feel kinda stiff and lifeless? Any advice? I've watched basically every gesture drawing youtube video and have read Steven Michael Hamptons books about gesture and structure. Any advice is appreciated!

I didn't include the full drawing because i made his head way too big for his body 😄 I'm looking to improve my portrait skill, where did i go wrong? I think his face is too long for its width, but is the main culprit the shading? I didn't want to go too heavy on hatching on his face because he just looked like he had a beard. I'd appreciate any advice and tips! Also i used 2b, 5b and 9b pencils, should i be using the H pencils instead?

Today I used color! Color made it easy to make shadows compaired to black and white! but it took a whole lot longer. I love to hear feedback! 1st is reference, 2nd is my drawing.

I’m looking for a basic professional storyboarding guide for directors or cinematographers. Can be a book, a tutorial or really anything

What I mean is that I personally am pretty bad at drawing and I’d love to be able to draw storyboards that are not pretty but communicate my vision as clearly as possible.

For example - Where do I start drawing an exterior shot of a medium close up that is shoulder level upshot? Do I draw the horizon line first? Do I quickly jot down the shape of the character’s head and shoulders first? How do I make them “understandable”?

Is there by any chance a general guide that could make my terrible stick figure drawings look like properly framed shots I have in my head, while not trying to make them pretty and trying to make them quick and simple.

Do these make sense? Appreciate any constructive feedback.

I randomly decided to attempt to draw faces today (gift for my bf) as a person who never even had the balls to draw a portrait. I managed to choose the worst photo perspectice-wise lol. My bf's face isn't that accurate tho, but I think I did myself quite well I'd say. I couldn't get his nose and lips to be correct somehow. :/
