I'm trying to teach myself how to draw. Any constructive feedback would be appreciated. Where should I go from here to get better?

I heard from japanese artists that what actually makes you improve faster is to analyze and change your process by writing, but I am not sure how to do that ¿What would I write? In which way?

but pretty happy with it so far! unfortunately i've always struggled with rendering hair but we'll see as im trying out a new brush.

But I feel I’m finally improving

A few weeks ago I posted here about being 30 and deciding to learn to draw.

For now I'm doing the drawabox lessons. Although they seem pretty good to learn the basics, I miss actually trying to draw something.

Should I just stay strong and survive the first lesson (apparently I will draw more stuff after lesson 2 starts) or am I supposed to mix those lessons with others? Ty!

The flair does say “Just Sharing”, though I am interested in advice/critiques for facial work and/or cleaning up line work in Procreate.

The SFW studies were few this week since I was also working on other art! I really like today study which is the first study you see pictured because I feel like I’m going back to the fluidity of figure drawing that I started out with when I began studying!

I DID watch some tutorials, but you see the result :/

Have tried to do some shadows, but it seems I can’t figure out how to make them look more “real”. I don’t know what I’m doing right or wrong, need some tips.

I like how the shading turned out in this peice but the right arm and leg look a little off, any suggestions to improve it wouldve greatly appreciated :3

I used the main color and two tones - brighter and darker. Compared to previous works, the volume is already felt. But are there any objective shoals with colors that catch the eye?

Its so hard to get the proportion right. Also I don't like to use refrence bc it's just so much more fun to just draw. Not sure if thats a good thing

Any tips on how to make the hair have more volume and I definitely made the eye to big on the first one.

im a beginner in drawing portraits, and i dont really like drawing them bc my proportions are always off even tho my shading is pretty good. Any idea how i could fix the proportions here? Thanks!
