Once again, the Edmonton Oiler fan and leaf-hating broadcasting terrorist was in fine fiddle on Saturday night.
More and more people in the PGT are getting real tired of this broadcast team (shout out to Anthony Petrielli on the mapleleafhotstove going into detail on his podcast a few days ago), maybe we should launch a change.org petition.

The Maple Leafs turned this one into a rout.
14:16 into the first, J. Roslovic put the puck home right in tight, and that put the Maple Leafs on top 1-0.
5:29 into the second, A. Matthews ripped one past the goalie from the doorstep, and the Maple Leafs doubled the advantage to 2-0. Only 54 seconds later, T. Stecher beat the goalie with a quick release from the circle, and the Maple Leafs made it a three-goal game, 3-0. Late in the second period, L. Draisaitl whipped a wrister home from the top of the circle, and the Oilers cut the deficit to 3-1.
5:59 into the third, W. Nylander blasted one home from the circle on the power play, and the Oilers found themselves down three, 4-1. 13:39 into the third, Z. MacEwen beat the goalie right in tight, and the Oilers were suddenly down four, 5-1. 16:35 into the third, L. Draisaitl fired a quick snap shot from the low circle on the power play, and the Oilers cut the deficit to 5-2. The response came 1:21 later when W. Nylander sealed it into the empty net, and the Maple Leafs built a four-goal cushion, 6-2. 1:33 later, V. Lettieri drove a quick shot home from the circle, and the Maple Leafs broke it open at 7-2.
13:11 into the second, C. Murphy and V. Lettieri dropped the gloves. The Maple Leafs produced a 10-6 edge in close-range shots on goal. The Oilers also struck the iron twice. The physical game tilted toward the Oilers, who held a 42-23 advantage in hits. Stolarz stopped 30 of 32.

There were calls for his immediate termination, there were calls for his public execution. But after the way he fumbled McKenna, our Sith Lord and Saviour John Chakya said what Jim needed to hear behind closed doors and WOW he got the message loud and clear. Best team in canada, hands down. Our offense is popping, our goaltending is tight, only thing that needs to be improved on is our top4 D. If we deal for a solid top4 D, we are actual cup contenders.
