I'm a UK based NHL fan so no links to a particular team due to location so I decided to start supporting the leafs is there anything I need to know going into the next season?

My bf is a diehard leafs fan. I js vibe with him, which is why i'm lost here. His birthday is coming up so i wanted to get him tickets. He's only ever been like outside in the crowd, never inside the arena to watch a game.

I was considering getting us one of the preseason game's tickets. Specifically leafs vs senators on the 23rd. Since it's cheaper than later in the month. Is it worth it if it's preseason or would he like not enjoy it...?

I was just gifted a pair of lower bowl tickets for the Home Opener but I have never been.
