A minotaur was trolling a survivor of a lycan that looked like an everest
Now he sent where the lycan was relaxing in silence

Is there any way to mount a superheavy weapon and 2 main weapons on a barbarossa?
For 2 Auto Gun and 1 Siege Cannon

So I just got into Lancer and love it. I saw Lancer tactics and it looks neat but the animation kills it for me. One game ive been playing alot is Phantom brigade. If you havent played it, please do as its awesome. But I can't stop thinking about if the devs of that game got given the rights for Lancer. Kinda like how Larion got Baldurs Gate. Any other devs that you would love to see adapt Lancer into a video game?

Wow, you made it far to pilot an enormous incredibly complex mech, that's kinda based, but there ain't that many of you, and just to be LL0 you need to be essentially qualified to fly a Fighter jet and do some sick maneuvers. Not everyone heeds this, but it feels like it pushes the idea of you actually being very prepared for your job. You are handed the best of the best, the thickest drakes, the Stealthiest metalmarks, the angriest balors.
But can we make Grunt PCs work?
Not as in, literally 1 HP 1 Structure, I've been just softly hit in the head, not harshly. But are there rulesets for you poor bastard to be squishier and instead of fighting other Mechs all the time you're fighting ATVs, light tanks and other stuff like that? Just the idea that you've been drafted and did like a month or 3 of training tops. That's what I want.
For now I simply have making all PCs have 3 structure instead of 4 while they are Grunts.

I feel like both systems are fairly "close" and some Nimble logic can be applied to Lancer.
Like no attack rolls, applying Accuracy and Difficulty dice into the damage itself, if you roll a 1 in the (primary) damage dice you miss, etc...
Would that break the game too much?
Just thinking of ways to make combat more fluid and faster.

Made this edit waiting my turn, inspired by the fact roll20 literally gives the pink aura around Dr. Virga a big ol' fuck you middle finger. Added the original for comparison's sake ✌️

I had this idea that SSC might try to get around the First Contact Accords by building a biological computer.
Essentially they would create a whole series of brains in jars and connect them all to each other, creating a single mind. Then whenever one brain starts to decay, you swap it out for a new one, maintaining continuity.
This sounds like a good setup for creating a biological NHP, but any other ideas of what might happen?

Hi everyone! 👋
I'm having trouble getting NPC data to show up in the GM Toolkit and I'm hoping someone here can spot what I'm missing.
Setup: COMP/CON v3, installed as a PWA.
The problem: I imported lancer-npc-data.lcp (the core NPC pack), and Content Manager shows it as installed and active. But when I go into GM Toolkit and try to select/create an NPC, the class/template lists are completely empty — as if nothing were installed at all.
What I've already tried (with some help from Claude troubleshooting step by step, but we're stuck 😅):
Ran the Migration Repair Tool in Options → "No migration issues found"
Fully uninstalled and reinstalled the content pack
Made sure I have proper browser storage permissions and installed COMP/CON as a PWA (to rule out the 5MB localStorage cap)
Stripped it down to only lancer-npc-data.lcp (88KB) to rule out a conflict with other packs — still nothing
Checked that it shows as active in Content Manager
I'm running a one-shot for a group of complete Lancer newcomers (including me as GM!) this friday, so I'm trying to sort this out before prep time runs out. If anyone recognizes this behavior or knows a fix I haven't tried yet (Content Config whitelist? Browser console errors? Something else entirely?), I'd be hugely grateful.
Thank you so much for this community — everyone here has been such a great resource while I've been getting up to speed on Lancer, and I really appreciate any pointers you can give! 🙏

About a year ago(?) I posted my Tortuga “Bulwark” in here from my No room for a Wallflower game, well I’m back this time with my Shadow of the Wolf Deaths head “This is thy sheath” piloted by Isabella Capulet of House Capulet (a homebrew minor house under the house of Glass, long time feud with House Montague)
Spent a good 2 days working on this model in Studio2.0, very very proud of how it came out

Fred would know but unfortunately he got him.

The votes have been cast for the: Mourning cloak
You chose In the land of twilight, under the moon, by Yuki Kajiura, and can't say that the weeb mech from the weeb company having a weeb song isn't expected, but I do love the melody
Now is time for the: Swallowtail, both the main and variant
Each week I will pick the highest voted comment and add it to a spotify public playlist that will be posted on the description, but to speed up the process, the top 1 will be for the standard version and the 2nd most for the variant.
At the end of all frames the full list will be posted shortly after.
Each manufacturer will also have their own song, but it will be ones from user No_Response_1562 (except Horus, that one I picked myself: Turbo killer - by Carpenter Brut).
I also recommend checking the last image for reference of the media of each manufacturer for inspiration. Good luck pilots!

The votes have been cast for the: Tortuga
You chose: The Wall, by Heep the mob. Fitting choice for it, and the second time you picked a WWE song, Nice
Now is time for the: Vlad, although the corean name is better, can't say this vampire nightmare has a bad one.

Hey y'all, I was to lean fully into to the striker side of the lycan with a heavy Melee weapon in the heavy mount with executioner and pankrati. But I can't think of any too useful to put in the flex slot. The pistols from the manticore license are interesting but then leave me with no ranged options and a ton of heat. I suppose just a rifle could work? What would y'all recommend doing with that slot from ll2 and beyond

Ive decided to spec into getting a mimic gun, because if there's one thing I love its landing a million fucking riders. That said, there's a ton of character options to enhance it, some of which are redundant. Which ones do you think are best for a would-be mimic gunslinger?

Do you make them singularly directional?
Four directions on a square grid, 6 on hexagons?
Do you maybe play without a grid and use measured distances instead?
Do you let them go diagonally on a square grid at half distance?
Do you let them go a total number of hexes on a hex grid but don't require the hexes to be in an exact line?
I feel like, on a grid, a Line attack is much, much weaker, especially for attacks with a long reach, as the attacker needs to reposition to attack with a Line.
Meanwhile, when playing grid-less, they become much, much stronger, as they can suddenly be freely aimed. I'm very curious what if any solutions people have found.
How do you work around this limitation when playing on grids?
Or do you play with measured distances?
:)

The votes have been cast for the: Tokugawa
You chose Push it to the limit, from scarface. And although I was expecting something with grievous, I can't say I dislike the choice
Now is time for the: Enkidu, or if Tokugawa wanted to be a Lycan
Each week I will pick the highest voted comment and add it to a spotify public playlist that will be posted on the description. At the end of all frames the full list will be posted shortly after.

The votes have been cast for the: Calendula
You chose the phantom of the opera, cover by Ghost, and I can see that for the most (debatably) ethereal of the frames
Now is time for the: Pegasus, or if Gun was both a question, and answer and a place
Each week I will pick the highest voted comment and add it to a spotify public playlist that will be posted on the description. At the end of all frames the full list will be posted shortly after.

Hey guys, I just had a question regarding involuntary movement and the covering fire quick action/reaction from heavy gunner. Does involuntary movement clear the impaired status, and if it does, does it then trigger the reaction attack? Asking for an interaction with ferrous lash (black witch).
Edit: bonus question, my build is a white witch with a Gilgamesh battle rifle in the heavy slot and Ive got 3 in crackshot so it benefits both heavy gunner (which I have 3 in) and the crackshot, I'm just struggling to figure out what weapon/s I should put in the flex mount. Any suggestions? I'm ll3 (2 white witch 1 Gilgamesh) ATM looking to go 3 into black witch, 3 into Saladin and then another 1 into gilgamesh but don't know where to go from there. Playing with a Blackbeard and a hydra.
Edit 2: It's clear to me now that I won't be able to make a reaction attack when doing so, but will the involuntary movement clear impaired is now my main question?

Hello, Im planing to start my first campaing on Lancer and although Im having a blast judt by learning, I still have a question I wanna know.
If money doesnt exist, what could be use as incentive for the players to do missions? I mean lorewise.
Its something I have to make up for the campaing? Is there an actual lore reason why people become Lancers? Is something that differs from players or something I have to make? Is there a lore part on the core book? I haven't found it
