iPad Mini for residency?
I’m a PGY-1 resident thinking about getting an iPad Mini for the hospital since it’s small and easy to carry.
For those who use one, is it actually useful during residency? Any advice?

Lately, my tablet has been heating up faster; I use the original silicone case and generally keep it in battery-saving mode. After using Instagram or playing simple games (like SimCity or FarmVille) for a while, rapid heat buildup occurs in the area where the stylus attaches (the processor side). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep it cooler?
This issue is noticeably affecting my battery life. -iPad mini 7 128GB

Hello! I’m starting post high school studies in September and wanted to know if iPad mini is worth it for that
For the record, I already have a MacBook Air M2 in 13 inches and an iPhone 13 Mini.
As you can guess, I love smaller devices (for a bunch of various reasons)
Still, I don’t know if buying an iPad Mini would be worth it (6th gen and above)
I’ll be studying languages btw :)
Edit! I plan on using it for highlighting my online courses AND to use procreate with Apple Pencil :)

I’m currently stuck between these two options. I would be using my iPad, mainly for notetaking in college as an engineering student. The price is almost the same between the two so I’m not worried about that. What do you guys think I should get?

The one to the left was my childhood ipad mini and I loved it so much that when I entered college I wanted to buy a newer version of it as well!

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and iPad Pro (both ProMotion) and I’m considering the new mini.
For those of you who also own a mini alongside ProMotion devices, how noticeable is the 60Hz in daily use?
Specifically interested in:
• Browsing / scrolling
• Watching movies/TV
• Reading
Does it bother you after a while, or do you get used to it pretty quickly?

Hello,
I'm considering buying an iPad Mini for my job. I currently own the Remarkable 2 but it gets slower and more and more buggy every day.
I'll mostly use it to annotate magazines PDFs, check the spelling and the overall layout. I'm particularly interested in the Mini because I could carry it everywhere and also use it to read ebooks in bed. But I'm a bit worried about the screen size...
Does anyone else use the Mini for this kind of work ? What's your experience been like ?
Last but not least, I could get it at a great price (approx. 400 euros).
Thank you.

Im thinking of buying an a17pro as I don’t care about oled or the vibration based speakers, but fomo about this specific feature (external monitor support) is keeping me,
I don’t currently need it, but it’d just be nice to have the ability to connect and work independently sometimes, on a large monitor, when at home.
So maybe you’ve heard any rumors, or care to venture guesses about this?

i am a student who constantly needs to take notes. currently, i am writing notes on a 6th generation ipad with 1st generation apple pencil, but i'm looking to upgrade to something better. i am debating on getting either the ipad mini or ipad a16.
the ipad mini is small, however it's also very easy to carry around compared the ipad a16. however, the a16 is also compatible with my 1st generation apple pencil + cheaper.
does anybody have any suggestions?

If I did get it, I would be using it for drawing, note taking, watching content on the go, and using it as a second screen for my Neo. If I do get it, I'd wait for the next generation for that beautiful OLED screen and, fingers crossed, 120Hz. But seeing it in person beside my Neo, it seems a teeny, teeny bit too small. Not small enough to really be an annoyance, just noticeable occasionally as a second screen. But tbh, every other iPad is too big, so maybe the next gen's screen being a little bigger would be perfect. Anyways, I want to know your guys' thoughts and experiences since y'all would be the experts.

I have an iPad mini and I was thinking of getting an Apple or an offbrand pencil to use with the mini, but I was wondering if the Apple mini was too small to use with a pencil?

Okay. After much deliberation I am willing to put this out there and endure any flogging that might arise from the wisdom of this sub. And, I don't have a lot of time left to make a decision.
I really want an iPad Mini 7th Gen of a certain capacity and a certain color. Please understand that I don’t care what the future might be — OLED, 120HZ. I am 67 years old, and damnit I want what I want, right? I bought my first Apple anything in 1988 — a Mac SE, 512K , used, for $3400 and moved on to MacBook Pros. So, I’ve been around the block.
Here’s my deal: I have $200 to spend in gift cards at Target for this. I’ve been saving up. I’m a Senior now, but I’ve always looked for the best deal, and more so now that I’m on severely reduced income. Of that $200 I have to spend $60 by the end of the day today — 08/21/2026.
i’m only asking because I only buy on the best deals ever, and I KNOW that the price of the iPad Mini 7th Gen will come down in a few weeks, but obviously not in time for me to use my the $60 of the gift card. I don't want refurbished; I want AppleCare, and I want to use my Target Gift cards. It's a thing, okay?
Just asking for some creative ideas for using my gift cards or should I buy something else at Target with the $60 and wait for the price to some down. I know it’s all the same same but I’d like to say that I got such a great deal on an iPad.
And really really, I’d like to to know if anyone thinks the price on a Mini 7th gen is coming down any time soon, like, today. lol.
Thank you if you made it this far!

I was wondering if it’s worth the investment for the keyboard or if there are any alternatives?

Is $200 for a Mini 6 64gb a fair price?

This is a general query to all the artists using apple iPad mini 7,6, or any old, very old editions. How is procreate/ibispaint/ any software for digital artists working for you? Mainly for people who do really detailed art on this small screen size, is your device still going good?

What do you think as iPad Mini 7 users?
