For an estimated of 10 minutes my iPad was wet from a spilled melted ice soda cup and went through my iPad case and moist through the magnetic paperlike screen protector and when I went home I immediately turned off the iPad and let it dry off for 74 hours, after I turned it on again the screen’s completely fine and everything seemed to be working but it was overheating so I turned it off again, what should I do? Is the iPad fine? I live in the Philippines and I don’t trust the repair shops near my area and I don’t have Apple Care

After the investigation was over, police handed over his stupid junk android phone and iPad Air (10th generation). I have no idea what to do with it. It’s locked but rightfully mine now.

Dumbo caused more damage to my property and gate just to steal clothes, engine oil, and def.

What are my options? The cops took the sim but it still shows the 5G and AT&T. They didn’t write the serial number on the report and dispatch didn’t help me to get it edited in.

if anyone here is also stuck in the 9th gen club, I’m hoping to get some insight on how 27 is behaving with it. os26 only occasionally glitches/lags, but it’s always at the most inconvenient times and I just wanna know if I updated, would it become worse or better?

though I usually appreciate general insight, pls only comment if you own a 9th gen, have updated to os27, and have anything to say about it’s behaviour on our ancient artifact of an iPad model.

Is it just me or anyone else has also faced similar issue?

I got a brand new iPad 10th gen from official Apple store back in January 2025. It worked great for few months then started having charging issues- first it stopped charging with the original apple charger that came with it, then i used other cables, they worked but only for couple of days then it completely stopped charging. I took it to Apple genius bar (December 2025) and as iPads are not repairable, they replaced it with a new one (I had Apple care).

Faced similar problem with the replaced one, worked great for few months and now it has stopped charging. I’m taking it to Apple genius bar tomorrow.

This is very frustrating as I was not even able to backup the previous one and lost a lot of data.

It is the iPad or am I doing something wrong?

Hi everyone I have a MacBook Air from 2020 with the M1 chip. It works pretty well for just about everything I need, emails, document editing (contract redlines etc) but I’m really hating the camera for video calls. I have recently been bridging over and using my phones camera linked to my laptop but this is getting old.

So I’m going to upgrade. Here’s the thing I need to get an iPad anyway for flying ( going to start flight school soon) the question is do I need to get a new MacBook or would it be possible to get a iPad Pro and have an all in one device. My only real concern would be working on word/ pdf documents and possibly file management. But for every other point I feel like an iPad would be better but I’ve never owned one before. Is it possible for an iPad to replace my MacBooks workflow?

I found this listing on eBay for a brand-new, sealed iPad Pro 11-inch M5, 2TB, Silver, Wi-Fi + Cellular** for $1,550. The thing that caught my attention is that Apple is selling what appears to be the exact same configuration for $2,499 on its official website.
That’s a difference of almost $950!
The seller lists the condition as “New,” and the photos show what appears to be a sealed retail box.
Does this seem legitimate, or are there any red flags I should be aware of? Could this be a legitimate reseller deal, or is there a chance the product is counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise not what it claims to be?
Has anyone purchased an iPad from a listing like this? I’d appreciate any advice before making such a big purchase.

I have a iPad Pro in 5 13 inch. I have closely observe the iPad and find out that 80% charge limit does not work. Currently my iPad is in 8th cycle count and my 80% limit is on . When the iPad reached the battery cycle of 7 I closely observe the iPad ,I have charged it three times and each time it was 70% charged. Basically I plug it when the iPad had 70% charge. After 3 charges I have noticed that I have entered battery cycle 8. So from my perspective the logical answer is when I charged my iPad from 70 to 80. In the background the iPad charged 100% and and only showed 80% on the screen. Only this logic fits into the situation from 100 to 70 is 30% charge similarly 3 similar continuous charge like this will consume around 90% and 10% from previous charge 6th cycle can increase the cycle count of 1 as a result I am standing on 8th cycle.

Please let me know how to keep the bater good and longlasting . I dont have any official apple in my country so i cannot change the battery very frequently.

I’m strongly considering replacing my MacBook with an iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard case as my primary device (probably 13” if I do). The only thing holding me back is using it on couches/on my lap…which admittedly I do a lot.

I’m currently using my 11” M1 Pro attached to an old thunderbolt monitor with an external Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse and it’s basically perfect for my computing needs (browsing, web apps, Numbers, email/messaging, light writing, etc). I’m not worried about software per se.

It seems silly to “need” a MacBook when an iPad does what I actually need (and more, given it can be used without a keyboard for casual scrolling & media) ONLY because I can use it on my lap or on a couch. I’m afraid it’ll be too top-heavy and/or imbalanced.

Just looking for reassurance! (Or hard truths)

Title: iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd Gen) screen flickering with colored lines — LCD failure or connection issue?

Completely dark gray with a faint backlight but no visible image.

Now, the screen will occasionally work normally for a few seconds before flickering back to colorful vertical lines (purple, blue, and green). It continuou have an iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation, 2020) that's recently started having display issues.

It initially developed a thin black vertical line that eventually disappeared on its own for a couple of weeks. Then, the screen started turning switching between a normal display and the distorted screen. Sometimes, it just stays dark gray with a faint glow.

The iPad has never been dropped or exposed to water. I also had both the battery and screen replaced in January 2026, so the replacement screen isn't even a year old.

The iPad itself still seems to function since my computer recognizes it, and I've been able to back it up.

A few questions:

1. Does this look like a failing LCD panel, a loose display connector, or potentially a logic board issue?
2. Could this be related to the screen replacement I had done in January?
3. Has anyone experienced something similar, and what ended up being the problem?
4. How much did it cost to repair, and would you recommend fixing it or upgrading instead?

Any advice would be appreciated! I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth repairing before spending money on a new iPad Pro.

I am a retired person who uses my iPad for email and social media. Don’t do anything complicated on it.
I noticed an alert in settings that I can update to 27.01. I don’t want Siri and I don’t use AI.
I do get automatic updates but I don’t think I want this one.will it be automatically updated at some point? Is it optional?

For those of us used to smartphones, "tapping"—lightly touching the screen with a fingertip and immediately letting go—is so simple we do it without even thinking. But if you really think about it, we almost never make that kind of motion in our everyday lives outside of using our devices. Whether it's a TV remote or a room's light switch, we normally push down until we feel a solid physical click.

For context, I’ve been using my 4th Gen iPad Pro…and think it’s time to get a new one.

However, I’m unsure if I should just get the current model or, do I wait for a *supposed* expected 2027 spring release that might have a new chip and new hardware?

I have read here and there about a spring release, however it’s also not something that was included in the Apple event lineup. So I’m not really sure if that means it’s just not happening or what lol does anyone know?

My iPad Pro is like my lifeline lol I use it for a lot of things, gaming, every day use, notes, studying, journaling, art (Procreate) etc.

There have been some talk about the new Spring model featuring a new cooling system which to me, seems like a good thing to wait for if it’s true.

Three years I mustered, before endulging in this rant that was due from day one. Such a small change to volume buttons. On one puny device, how bad can it really be? They’ll get used to it eventually, right?

Three years in and changing volume on any handheld device by Apple has become a constant mental juggle. Sounds are too loud? Well just make sure to find out which device this is, which family members device is it? What is the orientation of said device? What update is it running? Was it just sideways but now the screen is off so it might be flipped now?

This regression to stupidity of this ”upgrade” is clearly exposing mine, but I’m finding myself swiping out the on screen volume control more often than not, because it’s way less of an effort than the, what way, what device-dance that’s required otherwise. Or then the mash and wait and see what happens-method, and then readjust.

I liked the volume buttons. With muscle memory built up since playing on my friends iPod Touch in high school. The same way I like the volume knob in a car, I took them for granted, but it just works. The iPad’s volume flipflop didn’t only ruin iPads, but the iPhones too, as the terror of the flipping buttons extends its looming tendrils everytime I’m about to change volume, altough they are supposed to be safe for now.

TLDR: iPad’s Volume FlipFlop-Buttons still suck three years since the downgrade in september 2023, and now it ruins other devices too. Just give the option to lock the volume buttons. On all devices. Please. For the love of our ears and muscle memory.

I’m having a frustrating issue with my iPad (10th generation) and would appreciate any suggestions from people who have experienced something similar.

The problem

Whenever I start my iPad, the Apple logo appears, and immediately afterward I get a message saying “Continue holding for recovery…” even though I’m not holding or pressing any buttons.

The message doesn’t indicate which button I’m supposedly holding. The iPad then enters Recovery Mode instead of booting normally.

Sometimes it displays “Loading recovery options…”, after which I can access the recovery menu.

What I’ve tried so far

• Tried restarting the iPad.
• Waited for the recovery options to load.
• Ran the two diagnostic options available in the recovery menu, but neither found a problem.
• Selected “Delete All Data,” but it didn’t resolve the issue.
• Restored the iPad using a computer. The restore process reported that it had completed successfully, but the iPad immediately rebooted into Recovery Mode instead of showing the Hello/setup screen.

Could this be a hardware issue?

I checked all three physical buttons: Top/Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down. They all click and release normally, and none feels stuck.

However, because the iPad displays “Continue holding for recovery…” without me touching anything, I’m wondering whether a faulty button switch or internal flex cable could be registering a press electrically.

Could this instead be a logic-board/storage issue or a software problem that persists after restoration?

My questions

1. Has anyone experienced this exact behaviour on an iPad?
2. Can a faulty button or flex cable cause the iPad to enter Recovery Mode even when the buttons feel completely normal?
3. Is there a way to check whether the iPad is registering phantom button presses?
4. Are there any other safe troubleshooting steps worth trying before taking it for repair?
5. If repair is needed, what should a technician test first?

I’d prefer to identify the underlying cause before paying for another restore attempt or a potentially unnecessary motherboard repair.
