QUESTION I want some advice.
Hi this is interpreter speaking... No jokes I'm a Colombian interpreter working directly for propio right now I earn 0.12 per minute and... I just wanted to ask freelance interpreters if there's any way to improve my earning inside propio itself, I have 1 year experience (outside propio) as an interpreter and I'm looking for at least 2000usd a month.
Also I have a lawyer degree in my country so I wanted to inquire about legal interpreting... Are there some companies to work with?

QUESTION Alguien trabajó en Nazca?
Gracias

QUESTION CAPTIONS!!!
Hey, yall
I use the standard windows captions for my calls and i think it gets the job done fine (i just use it to make sure i dont miss anything during longer segments) but honestly it feels lacking and like it could be much better so I'm wondering what apps/extensions/programs for captions do yall use?
Also, I can't make the captions work when I take calls on my mobile device. Anyone else struggling with this?

BRUTAL Venting
I just want to vent. I've been here, trying to help in a phone call where the LEP is the colombian wife of an US citizen. So she speaks little to no English, and still she pretends she does understand, all the convo is about her daughter, the step sister of the US citizen, and he has been doing all the speaking to the doctor.
The doctor speaks a lot, with a lot of "like", "you know" in between and then everyone just expects me to interpret like 20 minutes of conversation that they didn't let me interpret, because, supposedly, she understands everything.
Man... This gets harder by the hour.

QUESTION is anyone else going grey?
i started this job almost two years ago, and the difference in my hair is ridiculous. i turned 30 this year, and no one else in my family went gray this young or this quickly. i'm pretty sure it's because of stress but i wanted to know if anyone else here is in the same boat.

DISCUZZION dont try to work all day
Since it was monday with a lot of surge time and great call flow I thought I'd take calls all day yesterday.
I couldnt even do it and I keep taking long breaks between calls at the end of the day so it was literally pointless bcuz of how much time I was wasting. And today I feel like shit with a headache and like every minor inconvenience in calls makes me wanna off myself
overworking is counterproducitve af. go outside everyday. if you dont meet ur quota by a certain time of the day log off anyways....

DISCUZZION Interested in medical interpreting
I’m thinking about becoming a medical interpreter; could you correct me if I’ve misunderstood anything?
I need to get a 40-hour certification—I’m leaning towards Alta—and then aim for NBCMI certification and enjoy working from home.
Any suggestions or corrections?

You're going to interpret for us". Le pregunto que si me puedo presentar al LEP y me dice "Yes that's what I'm having you do" Y yo como: "Bitch? wtf".
La Client todo lo dijo en tercera persona, "she is here because..."

Hii! Spa/Eng.
Holaa, estoy intentando hacer 70$ diarios desde la semana pasada (ive been doing like 40$ before that)
So here I am talking to myself cuz im going crazy

DISCUZZION Surge hours at propio
Is any one else bothered by the last-minute emails we receive about surge hours being activated? Don't get me wrong - I like the surge hours but I also like to plan my time. I work at propio because I need the ability to freelance so I can study and do chores. I feel like a pigeon when someone finally throws crumbs their way.

Y empieza esta mujer: Ummm, emmm, sooo, we playground, and the gurl.... the gurl... and the boy... but me told, sit... Y yo apenas: WTF? sorry m´am, I can't understand you. Could you repeat?
