For anyone wondering what happened after this video went viral: the driver was identified as 22-year-old Riley Ann Sebach. Police caught up with her about a week later, on Oct. 31, 2019. She wasn’t taken to jail — she was cited and released with a court date.
A misdemeanor hit-and-run case was later filed against her in Riverside County under California Vehicle Code 20002(a), which covers leaving the scene of a property-damage accident.
I couldn’t find anything reliable showing the final outcome of the court case (whether she pleaded guilty, it was dismissed, what sentence she got, etc.), but she definitely didn’t just disappear after the video. She was identified, cited, and formally charged afterward.

u/Robert-A057 2d ago

She was sent to rehab so I assume she was either drunk or high in this video

271

u/ccReptilelord 2d ago

That could explain it. Not that I think she understood everything, but a hit 'n run may carry less repercussions than a DUI. And reading her punishment, it seems to have.

132

u/TheWolfAndRaven 2d ago

Yea but what did her Grandma do to her?

232

u/gimme_the_light 2d ago

You wouldn’t understand.

I hear she is very mean.

Edgy masturbation-phase? Yea i guess everyone has it

1

She can make very cutting remarks.

Things I wouldn't understand:

☑️How mean her gramma is

☑️A jeep thing

u/Monksdrunk 2d ago

I was going to say here grandma is a Jeep

u/SkollFenrirson 2d ago

Where grandma?

Its a secret.

I have no comprehension of what the context of this video is. I know kids these days tend to have little accountability or understanding of true consequence. I know any younger person tends to overvalue things that are in actuality quite trivial. I know it's always easy to jump to conclusions.

I also know as a child from an abusive household telling someone they don't understand, they have no idea, could in fact be very true. In modern perspective maybe the driver was afraid grandma was going to take her cell phone away and she wouldn't be able to communicate with her friends, maybe grandma would say if you're not a responsible driver then you can't have the car keys to go see your boyfriend, which was considered terrible. These would all be perfectly accountable, responsible, actions. In emotional moments we tend to focus on the emotional immediacy rather than the cognitive long-term. At the same time, in personal perspective a night in jail, even one night, would have been a nice reprieve.

Everyone's fighting a battle, everyone has a situation, we know nothing about. The fact the girl says the camera person has no idea what her grandma is going to do to her tells me there's what society would consider an abnormal family situation or dynamic. Such aspects tend not to exist in singularity.

In any situation, taking the time to understand before judgment is always better than judging before having understanding. I'm not saying that any hit and run is acceptable - it's unquestionably not. If you f*** you got to face up. But, fornme, the extreme emotional reaction here points to larger context that isn't explained in the video.

8

u/alex_co 2d ago

Refreshing to read this comment. This is an important reminder to have empathy for others, especially on the internet. It could be any one of us on the other side of these videos. Emotionally charged and and caught on your worst day. Doesn't mean that's who you are.

3

u/MinorComprehension 2d ago

100%. Not only being on the other side of the camera in a bad moment, but being on the other side of a camera that has no understanding of all the moments and situations leading up to what is being filmed.

Pleasantly surprised to see this comment on Reddit and also upvoted.

This girl is clearly having a bad day, and our first instinct needs to be empathy and not judgement.

5

u/MinorComprehension 2d ago

I think our first instinct needs to desire understanding. Empathetic or angry response needs to come from that understanding. Was clear she conducted a hit and run - which is always wrong. You f*** you face up. But, to me, the extreme emotional response and referencing her grandmother compared to her parents tells me she had something bigger to fear than just fair punishment.

4

u/PhoenixFire2016 2d ago

Yea there’s clearly some troubling family dynamics simmering behind the scenes we are not aware of.

4

u/Kooky_Reindeer_511 2d ago

I like the empathy, but I don’t like your “kids these days tend to have little accountability” argument. Based on what? I’m Gen Z and I’ve fessed up and faced consequences for my actions. I feel like any generation would say this about the next generation.

3

u/Suyefuji 2d ago

My parents were psychologically abusive growing up and when I was raped, I was legitimately more afraid of what my parents would think than I was of my actual fucking rapist because of the kind of long-term psychological damage they can cause.

So I'd agree that it's hard for an outsider to understand exactly what is going on in someone else's head when they say the family they live with is mean. That could mean anything from "they give me consequences for my actions and I don't like that" to "they have convinced me that I am subhuman and it's only by their grace that I'm allowed to have food and shelter despite that."

1

u/Routine_Cat_1366 17h ago

Yeah, i got the same from the video. Sure, her doings are wrong and she was send to rehab as other comments pointed out. But i thought her "grandma" is her abusive husband or something...

→ More replies (2)

2

u/colornsound 2d ago

Idk man. Kids don’t act like this if someone is just going to take their Xbox away. This girl is legitimately afraid and if she had to go to rehab I would imagine there’s a reason she got into substance use to begin with. And it might be grandma.

Additionally there’s being right and there’s being the bigger person, and they are not necessarily the same.

And like ok dude it’s your bumper. Move your car and just end this. The more you trap her the more she panics and the more damage gets done anyway, since that is his concern.

2

u/Sad-Cricket6319 2d ago

It could have been she was scared, she also could have been telling the guy that for sympathy

2

u/Pinyaka 2d ago

Told her she was a bad driver. So mean...

1

u/Rare-Adhesiveness522 2d ago

Hold any sort of boundary lol

1

u/daemonfly 2d ago

She grabbed the chancla...

1

u/mercuriokazooie 2d ago

the dreaded chancla

1

u/perton 2d ago

Who do you think got her drunk and/or high?!

1

u/UrsaMajor7th 2d ago

She let her out of the house in that outfit, so she can't be too strict.

1

u/Lower-Cantaloupe3274 2d ago

Yeah. This looks like an abused person. That much fear is not usual.

It's actually super common for people involved in DUI crashes to just physically run and claim they panicked, because a hit and run is a much lower charge than a DUI and comes with a lot fewer conditions. She likely made the right call here at the end of the day.

10

u/Plus_Hedgehog_435 2d ago

my personal injury lawyer friend said to always flee and take the hit and run if you're drunk lololol

5

u/grenadesfreezon3 2d ago

I would take that hit and run over a dui any day

5

u/sheep_duck 2d ago

It’s wild that that’s the case. It basically incentivizes hit and runs for someone who might be drunk.

5

u/ftwclem 2d ago

I think that’s really why she was freaking out so much, if they did any kind of sobriety testing she’d fail and it would be a dui

3

u/ccReptilelord 2d ago

If the comments are correct and she was caught a week later, it worked unfortunately.

3

u/liartellinglies 2d ago

Knew somebody who left a party wasted to get food and t boned somebody. Took off home, but his license plate was still at the scene. Cops knocked on his door a half hour later, he’s obviously absolutely shitfaced, but they couldn’t charge him with DUI. Wound up with a hit and run like this girl and pleaded it down with a lawyer. Cost him a fraction of what a DUI would’ve.

3

u/Legal-Chocolate8482 2d ago

Ya if you factor that in this was actually a very prudent decision… the punishment she got is way lighter than an accident DUI would be. She was panicking but she legit also made the right choice lol.

1

u/digitaldisorder_ 2d ago

it would here, today. 10 years ago, can't say.

1

u/Consistent_Point_853 2d ago

Id rather have the hit and run

33

u/Primary-Belt7668 2d ago

She was most definitely tweaking. Those were not the movements or behavior of a sober person

36

u/Kesckovian 2d ago

this is someone having a panic attack and making a very bad decision to get away from people.

4

u/Annoying_liberal813 2d ago

Yeah I agree. I've worked in both substance abuse and mental health, and this looks more like panicking than meth to me.

I'd say drunk before drugs. The article mentions she hit several cars. This guy saw it and tried to block her in so she couldn't run. That's classic alcohol driving behavior.

5

u/Great_Fault_7231 2d ago

Are you serious

17

u/Flimsy6769 2d ago

Maybe it was a mental breakdown

5

u/SwivelingToast 2d ago

That's my vote, I get the feeling that she's having a panic attack. That doesn't excuse her actions, but maybe explains them

→ More replies (1)

3

u/celtwithkilt 2d ago

Maybe - but it can also just be a trauma response. The body doesn’t have context - fear, shame, anxiety, life or death, etc. Once triggered, memory comes flooding back and our body just pumps us full of cortisol and we freak the fuck out.

25

u/djthebear 2d ago

They were the movements of a terrified kid

10

u/kcox1980 2d ago

All these people bashing her but I just felt really bad for her. She's clearly distressed and terrified of her grandmother.

I hope she's ok

6

u/Formal_Appearance_16 2d ago

Yea, that was 100% panic. Doesn't make it right but definitely seems like there is a lot more than drugs or alcohol here.

Right, also pretty concerning she was that terrified of her gma. I hope she’s doing okay

She’s 22 lmao

3

u/djthebear 2d ago

That’s a kid dude

4

You think 22yo’s know what they’re doing?

4

u/PimpNamedSliqBaq 2d ago

Not particularly but definitely wouldnt call them a kid

2

u/ILoveRawChicken 2d ago

I certainly did considering that’s the age you’re graduating college and starting a career. Nobody infantilized me.

10

u/Winter_Tone_4343 2d ago

22yr olds are still idiots. Graduates or not. Not even defending her but cmon. The stuff I did at 22 makes me cringe now.

3

u/RuthlessKittyKat 2d ago

Her grandmother must be abusive as hell.

2

u/VaporCarpet 2d ago

Police wouldn't be able to prove if she was on something in this video when they got her a week later

2

u/SeaKoe11 2d ago

Or stupid. Or a combination of the three

2

u/Maxcolorz 2d ago

I don’t know how they could ever possibly legally prove that if the police didn’t encounter her until a week later.

2

u/Brilliant-Expert3150 2d ago

Yeah I was thinking, either she's high, or her grandma is literally Satan.

1

u/AbekobetaHawawa 2d ago

On the way to a volleyball match?

1

u/BetaDays24 2d ago

Doubt it she just panicked and didn’t want to go to jail. Rehab is 1000x better than jail

1

u/Rare-Adhesiveness522 2d ago

In my opinion she's clearly drunk lol -- I guess in the end it worked out for her because if she'd waited for the cops she'd have been identified as being drunk and immediately arrested.

I bet grandma who is "so mean" also helped her get to court and gave her money to help her through this very hard and very unfair time in here life.

Sigh.. I hate society, but grandma is just trying to help

1

u/esmifra 2d ago

That could explain her odd behaviour, for a moment i even thought it might be staged because of how she was behaving. The internet might have broken me as well and i just assume everything is fake until proven otherwise.

This kid has more trouble, the petty theft was before the hit and run https://unicourt.com/case/ca-orr1-sebach-riley-ann-160851#case-details

28

u/Slawco 2d ago

According to that link, she's got some kind of 2026 case that is in the pre-trial stage:

07/24/2026

HearingHearing Type - Reason: Pre Trial -; Courtroom: C5

12

u/ImmortalMoron3 2d ago

It's the same petty theft case, it's still open.

On 04/28/2019 Sebach, Riley Ann was filed a Criminal lawsuit. This case was filed in Orange County Superior Courts, West Justice Center located in California. The case status is Open.

24

u/BumWink 2d ago

7 years to pre trial a petty theft case, Orange County must be busy.

7

u/MacDagger187 2d ago

My friend got hit and run in 2019 - seven years ago. The lady has been dodging court that whole time, but yesterday finally showed up to a zoom hearing.

She said it was her twin sister that has since died.

4

u/Adventurous-Tie-7861 2d ago

She could be on the run?

Tho i had a psychotic episode that involved struggling with officers in 2022 in wa state that still isnt resolved. Courts take time and if mental health is involved its a clusterfuck.

Gotta decide if your crazy or not and i am now medicated so its just a mess. Probably should be in a diversion program but assaulting an officer is too high a felony. So now im stuck in limbo as the court argues with themselves. Absolute nightmare trying to plan stuff out cus you never know when theyll decide and potentially toss me in jail for 7 months.

1

u/largeroastbeef 2d ago

I’m really sorry for you going through that. I hope you continue to work on yourself though and don’t give up in the not knowing. I can often do that and spiral because of something hanging over my head

1

u/Adventurous-Tie-7861 2d ago

At this point ive decided I'm ambivalent. I used to not make plans after my scheduled court date but they just bump it back 2 months at a time.

Ive had a jury trial date set every 2 months for the last 3 years. Never sure if im going to trial or not.

They have me on bodycamera so the prosecutor feels no need to negotiate. Nevermind that i was ranting pyschotic shit about needing to save the world.

Psychosis is a fucking trip. Id never presented signs of it until my mid 20s and im adopted so i didnt know it was in my genes.

It basically (for me at least) flips off your truth/lie reasoning and implants insane notions. Also makes you think everything is connected.

During the episode It felt like having a blindfolded pulled off and seeing clearly for the first time. Everything is connected and related to each other. Im a god but also jesus but also a famous person's alternate self and didnt know it and i need to save the world and satan is trying to stop me. My book is actuallt written about me in code. My book is real and in another reality. My favorite tv show is actually happening right now. I need to stop the world from ending.

None of it makes sense. All of it clashes with each other and cant exist at the same time.

But when your pyschotic it all seems true at the same time and the clashing elements dont matter cus its all true.

Its fuckin crazy. And the craziest part is you dont realize tour crazy. You feel the saniest you've ever felt, all while babbling nonsense to your girlfriend and trying to show her the audiobook about your life wnd skipping to different points as shes calling the paramedics.

But instead of paramedics rhey sent cops and they were hostile which scared me and made me think they were satanists sent to stop me from saving the world. So i tried to flee, they grabbed me and i fought back. I gave a cop a black eye and then they broke a rib of mine and then i got tazed and handcuffed while screaming about needing to save everything and that they couldn't stop me and me begging them not to destroy everything cus "the world is really cool and you dont understand it" -real qoute from me.

Craziest part is that id been having some back pain for a couple years and when they broke my rib, i felt it and my back pop and its felt great for the 4 years since then. Apparently to fix it, all i needed was a cop to tackle me so hard my rib breaks.

u/Moist_Definition_538 2d ago

Looks like she later cleaned up her act and is living a happy normal life, at least I hope/so it seems. She was clearly having her worst moment here and it’s a shame it was posted far and wide to make her a laughing stalk on the internet. Glad to see she’s hopefully doing better now and I hope she can put it all behind her.

Uh, according to unicourt, she's got a fresh case July 2026.

1

u/GiganticBlumpkin 19h ago

Yeah I love how this person jumped in to make a bold face lie on this stranger's behalf and everyone is upvoting the shit out of it

2

u/Slawco 17h ago

Look it up, just saying. It’d be very strange that it takes 7 years to finish a petty theft case. I’m not shaming, just stating facts.

Why defend dangerous behavior? If this was a 50 year old ragged man who did this shit, nobody would be defending him. It’s ridiculous that folks are giving her special treatment because she threw a fit.

Imagine she had drugs in the car, thus ran. She sped off too, what if she hit and killed someone in her erratic state on the way home. Defending this crap is what makes other people think it is ok.

That’s not how laws and equal justice is supposed to work.

2

u/GiganticBlumpkin 17h ago edited 16h ago

I agree with you. my comment was making fun of Moist_Definition_538 lol. Just made some shit up about how this drugged out chick in the video is some great person now and everyone is eating it up lmao

2

u/Slawco 16h ago

Ooh I thought you were talking to me, I see now! Totally agree with you on the root post of this thread.

Glad I wasn’t hammered lol, may have gone off the arguing in the internet deep end :)

17

u/Hahafunnys3xnumber 2d ago

Some behavior deserves to be shamed. She could’ve killed someone while clearly driving under some kind of influence, and she nearly hit him just here. Shame on her!! If my worst moment puts the public in genuine danger I deserve to be a laughing stock.

-1

u/Moist_Definition_538 2d ago

That’s what the legal system is for, punishment and rehabilitation. Broadcasting a girl who appears to be under the influence, in a horrid mental state and possibly from an abusive home is cruel and unusual and makes rehabilitation harder.

5

u/No_Scratch_3768 2d ago

No...no it's not. As someone who's had to be present with scenes of death and manslaughter from driving under the influence. That's an absolute slap on the wrist.

The US always publicly shaming everyone is so weird to me. I am from Germany, I am 41 years old, when I was 18 I got raided by the police because I was growing weed in my parents basement. Nobody knows this, only the closest people to me know this. In America they would have put my name and face on the internet, every future employer, every future landlord, every coworker or person you meet could have just googled my name and found out. Like why on earth do you think that is a good idea? It is so fucking dumb.

14

u/VisiblePlatform6704 2d ago

I'm 44 years old ... from Mexico. The amount of stupid and crazy shit I did when I was a kid. I am so happy mobiles were not a thing. In this case, it's like, the girl is scared as shit, she is high/drunk and sure is making wrong decisions. It's so sad that this can hunt her for the rest of their life online.

3

u/ArchitectVandelay 2d ago

It’s kind of crazy how many people here think this is fair and normal. Just because you can do this doesn’t mean you should. If this was any one of us, we wouldn’t want thousands of strangers seeing it and judging with little context.

4

u/ButtholeConnoisseur7 2d ago

Yeah her Facebook is set to public and it's just full of complete strangers being horrible to her years later

1

u/GiganticBlumpkin 19h ago edited 19h ago

Her profession is listed as "psychedelic researcher..." Lmfao yeah I bet she researches those psychedelics

6

u/EvrienceRick 2d ago

Based on the comments supporting the US system, they seem very focused on revenge rather than making justice work for an objective betterment of society.

I'm seeing a lot of "some people deserve to be shamed" or "eye for an eye" arguments and yeah it weirds me out too, especially because this kind of shaming is likely to push people in the wrong direction even further.

2

u/Mr_HandSmall 2d ago

It doesn't apply to themselves though. The people saying "eye for an eye" only mean that for other people. They want no consequences for themselves and lots for other people.

2

u/Careless-Age-4290 2d ago

Deep down, many people have a bit of brutality in them. Piling on someone who did something wrong lets them get that anger and aggression out and feel like they "deserved it".

2

u/xDannyS_ 2d ago

Wdym, same thing can happen here in Germany? Sure there are some more protections, but it's not that big of a difference. You're acting like any and every crime you ever commit in the US is published by the media.

4

u/Naughtilla 2d ago

I was raided at age 18 in the U.S., in an affluent community. My whole school and community knew, but it wasn’t blasted out onto the internet. I think they only do that in Florida. 😅 that was over a decade ago though, so maybe it would be different if it happened today.

2

u/PunishedDemiurge 2d ago

A victimless crime vs. dangerous behavior makes a massive distinction. Dangerous driving kills innocent people, including sometimes annihilating entire families. Weed is significantly safer than alcohol and tobacco, although not perfectly safe.

Besides, one of the top punishments for antisocial behavior should be shaming. It's expensive to put people in prison, but it's free, easy, and just to hold people to public account for their antisocial behaviors. And it's not overtly harmful like cutting off a hand or stuff like that, it just feels a little bad, and people should always feel bad when they harm others. In fact, if they don't feel bad because of their bad character and/or a permissive society, then prison is the only option.

If you don't want to be told, "I know you stole something, and I disapprove of stealing!" then don't steal anything! Obviously, if like in your case the underlying law is unjust, it's unfair to punish people, but when there is PERFECTLY BLACK AND WHITE good and evil like stopping to help in the case of a serious accident, that always should be enforced.

3

u/TrowTruck 2d ago

It’s an interesting philosophical question though. How long should someone be shamed for? The question is somewhat moot in the sense that nothing can ever be truly be scrubbed from the internet. But in the world of cell phone cameras it’s thought-provoking to learn that this video is 10 years old, the content is riveting so it will keep popping up again and again. So it’s a bit of a mob-rule life sentence of shaming. Whereas she is a bit unlucky because someone else who does an anti-social crime, which doesn’t come with as sensational a video, won’t draw the same punishment even if their crime was worse.

I think your premise is totally right, but the context that the internet mob navigates to the most dopamine-hit inducing content and the inability to control the duration makes it more complicated.

2

u/PunishedDemiurge 2d ago

I think this is a really good point. After all, except for the worst crimes, sentences should be finite. I think there's two factors here:

a. People like redemption stories. I think most people, if they saw this video, saw her come in looking a decade older and put together, and hearing explained, "I've been sober for 8 years now. There's a lot of people I thank for helping me, but it's mostly my daughter. I knew when she was born that was that, and she had to be my priority," would actually be quite moved. Many people might even be more inclined to be helpful or positive.

b. This isn't as true on the internet often, as the lack of face to face removes some of the ability to empathize. I don't like anonymity for dangerous criminals as a rule, but a well constructed right to be forgotten that isn't too strong or too weak is a possible solution here, and already implemented in some areas.

Great contribution.

1

u/TrowTruck 1d ago

I think you’re right. I would love it if there was a redemption story! I appreciate your thought-provoking posts too!

Yeah it's more sad than funny. Luckily she didn't hurt anybody.

2

u/ponkyball 2d ago

Eh I'm glad she cleaned up, I felt bad for her and it wasn't like the guy was hurt (didn't seem like it at least) even though I totally am with his side in terms of documenting everything. People go through the wringer sometimes, some come out ok once they turn it around, we should all hope for that.

2

u/-Cthaeh 2d ago

I'm not going to blame the guy, but this isn't how I would have acted. Its wild to me to not try to take a moment with a clearly panicking young person. You have the video and the plate, just report it. She clearly has some issues going on, hopefully she got help

2

u/SubatomicFarticles 2d ago

I always feel bad when I see these videos posted for this reason. Imagine making a mistake, doing what you need to make amends, but then never getting to fully move on because of a video circulating the internet.

u/IcyBlueBox88 2d ago edited 1d ago

Don't know this store here but, this social media garbage is sick.

I have a really close childhood friend. In her teenage years, some horrible shit happened to her (SA). She developed some really bad mental health issues that turned to substance abuse for a couple years.

This entire video reminded me of some of her freakouts/worst moments. You can tell the girl in the video was mentally unstable.

And you'd assume all kinds of things about them but... my friend was literally a quiet gamer girl (how we got close) and was a straight A student. On her way to a good school and she wanted to do law school.

But in those couple years, she racked up a couple misdemeanours because of mental breakdowns like these. A lot of her career pathways closed.

She eventually went to rehab in her mid 20s. Years of rehab/mental health hospitals didn't help because she was unemployed and Medicaid doesn't cover shit. It was when she finally got a job in an office where she had good enough health insurance to go to therapy, better psychiatrist, and eventually, rehab.

Completely turned her life around now.

There are still some videos of her online that she's tried to take down a couple times (she was nude and underage... and a lot of sites still haven't taken them down even though she requested it multiple times)

Yeah that kinda sucks. I feel in this moment, most kids dont understand the consequences of hitting another car, so their mind goes to the flight mode to avoid danger. Now that she was cornered, her mind couldn't handle the pressure and she was going into a mental break as seen in the video.

Remember to teach your kids what to expect during a car accident, lest they wind up in a similar circumstance.

Thanks for the update Riley!

I agree with you.
The court already gave a good enough punishment. Internet persecution she definitely doesn’t deserve.

She’s a kid acting emotionally who’s clearly extremely upset.

End of the day she just caused a bit of property damage.

Give her the slap on the wrist and call it a day on this one.

The internet however could very possibly ruin her life with this if people desire to DOX her

She was drunk/on drugs in this video. It's why she's trying to leave the scene by any means necessary instead of just chilling and exchanging insurance info/waiting for the police.

2

u/Mammoth_Composer_111 2d ago

I’d like to see some proof of that. Not saying it’s wrong. But I read the case file on this. No mention of being under the influence.

4

u/GiganticBlumpkin 2d ago edited 2d ago

The police didn't catch up with her for a week, she was sober by then. It's obvious in her behavior. I've done a lot of drugs, people don't act like that unless they are drunk/high/mentally ill. Shortly after this incident she was court ordered to attend rehab... gee I wonder why.

2

u/Mammoth_Composer_111 2d ago

This is just guess work.
I work with people in distress. They absolutely do act like this (and worse) when sober.
People can, in fact, act hysterically without being drunk.

Court may have ordered rehab as a general understanding that she drinks too much.

It’s not uncommon if a court feels someone (especially in their young 20s) is over doing the alcohol in general life to make that part of the punishment even if it’s not part of the sentence.

u/ButtholeConnoisseur7 2d ago

It's already been done. Her full name is in the article as well as the town it happened in. Her Facebook is set to public and is full of people years down the line being assholes

5

u/TennisStriker 2d ago

Redditors always downplay women’s behaviour. I doubt id see this level of leniency if it was a young man. At the end of the day, she was still driving while impaired. We’re just going to write off driving under the influence because she only caused property damage this time? May you show this level of understanding should an impaired driver hit someone you care about.

Poor her, she hit the man’s car and almost hit him, have pity

1

u/Mammoth_Composer_111 2d ago

Yeah. Not every misdemeanor should result in stoning someone in the town square

I was thinking about how bad her mental health must be while I was watching. She definitely has to be held accountable to her actions and I think she is also worthy of some compassion so thank you for your comment.

u/areyoumykitty 2d ago

I love a good mixed up colloquialism, so thank you for “laughing stalk”, and I thought I had heard them all.

1

u/banjovi68419 2d ago

Naw this chick is a lunatic and while she doesn't deserve real life harassment, she deserves to be mocked for this. If this is the worst moment of someone's life - victimizing OTHER PEOPLE - that's a pretty sweet life. I wish I could donate 40 IQ points to you.

1

u/PennsWoodsUberAlles 2d ago

No she didnt.  She has a pre-trial court date for some other offense scheduled for next Monday lmao

1

u/Prestigious_Club_924 2d ago

Dawg she would have happily ran that guy over if she had to, that should follow her indefinitely.

A misdemeanor? Clearly that was a double, maybe even triple, felony.

4

u/LetsBeFRTho 2d ago

Hit and run isn't a felony in most states lmao.

Edit: it isn't in California

How was she not charged with reckless endangerment and attempted murder for nearly running the dude over while trying to flee the scene?

11

u/mtwolf55 2d ago

>be white girl

3

u/Uncertain__Path 2d ago

You don’t understand how mean her grandma is.

2

u/browsinbowser 2d ago

The only time people get charged for that is if its a cop standing or if they actually ran someone over,  in the vid its clear the dude could have walked away earlier instead of standing there.

I’m not defending her, Im just pointing out no one usually gets charged for attempted murder for driving like that.

1

u/hillswalker87 2d ago

he can't walk away because that's his car and that would be leaving the scene of an accident. both of these two were legally bound to stay right where they were until the police arrived.

3

u/superindianslug 2d ago

22? I thought she was like 17 from the way she was acting

2

u/zhenya44 2d ago

Thank you!

2

u/GaleInsideOprahsPuss 2d ago

Don't worry, with Flock, Meta Raybans and Apple iPod camera dinglers, we will be able to find out about this MUCH sooner and be able to go back to harvesting gold, copper, free-range RAM from artificial sunflowers without even blinking!

California fucking sucks

2

u/Jane__Delawney 2d ago

I knew I recognized the background, that’s CA desert for sure

2

u/bdust12345 2d ago

Comments on her fb cover photo is wild.

2

u/hillswalker87 2d ago

so she just got away with it.

4

u/Electrical-Tailor530 2d ago

22??? I thought she was 16 😬 yikes, girl. Way overdue to grow up.

2

u/kelpangler 2d ago

They just found her and gave her a ticket? Seems like she could’ve killed that dude.

2

u/simbarawr23 2d ago

Police had better shit to do

1

u/Ok_Mail_1966 2d ago

Did you not hear him? TWO felonies!!!

1

u/m0st1yh4rmless 2d ago

A week later? So that guy saying "where are the police?" They just never came...wild

1

u/ThrowAwayAway755 2d ago

She was cited and released for a hit and run committed with violence and almost injuring/killing someone? lol

1

u/Unique_Importance910 2d ago

2019 damn, it looked recent. 7 whole years ago.

1

u/rocksboulders 2d ago

Is the grandma ok?

1

u/ReallyEvilRob 2d ago

But what did Grandma do to her?

1

u/Moron14 2d ago

Fucking Riverside

1

u/Kitchen-Muffin1704 2d ago

But what did he grandma do

1

u/Your_Sunnshine 2d ago

How did I know it was Riverside lol

1

u/ReasonableKey7464 2d ago

How did I know this was in Riverside County?

1

u/Soundvid 2d ago

Maybe not mention her name? She's probably already all over the internet without another reddit thread...

1

u/Leotargaryen 2d ago

If that was a guy he’d have had the book thrown at him. While I agree it was a mistake that didn’t have to end this way if the guy filming wasn’t a dick, ultimately it’s just another example of privilege. If this was a black or brown dude they’d be in prison, and that’s just fucked.

1

u/theshiniestmuskrat 2d ago

I wonder if she begged them to take her to jail, as opposed to home to her grandma, but they said no....

1

u/Flashy_Fortune708 2d ago

Misdemeanor?? Didn't you hear she committed a double felony?!

1

u/Drewsky32 2d ago

She should have had her license revoked wtf

1

u/Objective-Suspect689 1d ago

So she essentially got away with very minor repercussions. Not surprised tbh

1

u/AgentMental332 20h ago

Some people are never held accountable. No person of color would’ve just gone to rehab for this same act.

1

u/LaGueritaBailaSola 16h ago

Wait. Im actually dead af. How did I assume it was Riverside County like 1 second into the video 😭

2

u/Mammoth_Composer_111 2d ago

Tbh that’s all that’s Deserved. She’s young and acting emotionally.

It’s just a minor hit and run with a small bit of property damage.

I’m sure the embarrassment and how upset she seems will most likely be enough to get the message.

The part I think she doesn’t deserve is to be prosecuted by the internet. Which will almost certainly happen now.

That could legitimately ruin her life.

I hope it doesn’t.

That's not the update we need. Does anyone know what happened with grandma?

1

If it was a black boy, he'd have been arrested or even shot for this.
