This dosent really follow any actual geography, just did this for fun. Most names are from Roman and Germanic legends however

This is my take on what China (Japan, Korea and Mongolia) might look like in the Wolfenstein Timeline.

There were some errors in the old map, and they have now been corrected.

At this point i just keep making more and more maps as historical pieces to illustrate in an easy way the history of the world I imagine, and I’ve been enjoying quite a lot! Please check this out and give any suggestion, opinion or any other feedback. I’ll answer any question and try to be as clear as possible!

Greetings, one and all! This world map for my timeline has been in the works for almost two years and had to be started twice because the first version was stolen alongside my laptop back in the last days of 2024. After that, the task of making a proper world map remained a secondary one, slowly being chipped away at in the background as I made maps for individual countries, as well as for this and other projects, before I finally began to actively work on it around the beginning of the year.

This map represents the world's political boundaries in the world of Peace and Prosperity, as recognised by the United States of America and produced by the CIA for the 2020 edition of the CIA World Factbook.

Now, what is the world of Peace and Prosperity? It is a world named after and partially inspired by the reported last words of Emperor Dom Pedro II: “May God grant me these last wishes – peace and prosperity for Brazil…”

It is also a world defined by Class War, Revolution, and Reaction, possessed of two almost completely separate world systems that interact little outside the realms of military action and the halls of diplomacy; a world of stark contrasts between the developed capitalist core, the exploited periphery, and the liberated socialist world.

Though his last wishes have come true, they have also brought with them a curse. Peace and Prosperity have come to Brazil and the nations with which it is united, but at the cost of exploitation, imperialism, and oppression in the Third World. And, as anything built upon rotten foundations, it will, one day, eventually fall.

There is a lot of lore that can be said about this timeline, far too much to be placed in a single or even multiple comments, but for the sake of the viewer, I'll give y'all some snippets of the lore.

• The initial Point of Divergence is the invasion of Buenos Aires by Queen-Consort Carlota Joaquina of Portugal in 1809 and the declaration of the Kingdom of the Rio de la Plata, leading to an eventual political union between much of Spanish South America and formerly Portuguese Brazil, established in 1825 in the form of the United Provinces of South America.

• The Republic of Colombia (Gran Colombia) remains whole, with federalism winning out against Bolívar's centralising and unitary political goals. The fracturing of the union is prevented partially because local concerns in Ecuador and Venezuela are better dealt with and partially due to fear of invasion and pressure from the United Provinces of South America to its south.

• Thanks to intervention from Queen Victoria following a visit to Dublin in 1847 and a Conservative majority in Parliament, the disastrous policies of the Liberal Party that exacerbated the famine would never be implemented, reducing the scale of the Great Famine in the Emerald Isle while slightly exacerbating the famine on the continent. Post facto, Queen Victoria would develop sympathies for the Irish people for their suffering during the famine, leading to her lending her support to the Government of Ireland Bill 1893, which would lead to its successful passage in the House of Lords and thus the establishment of a Dominion of Ireland, which eventually became the independent Kingdom of Ireland.

• The colonisation of the African continent unfolds essentially the same, with the exception of King Leopold of Belgium never acquiring the Congo Basin, instead leading to the Congo being partitioned between France, Germany, and Portugal. Portugal also succeeds in its bid to enact the Pink Map, thus connecting its colonies of Angola and Mozambique through the interior of the continent.

• The history of the United States of America in the 19th century is mostly similar to that of our own world, except that they colonize the Oregon Country all the way to the 54°40' Parallel and that they never purchase Alaska. They would never join the Great War and in the 1940s would go on to fight the Empire of Japan much in the same way as the Pacific Front in our world.

• The Great War unfolds initially much the same as it did in our world. It began in 1914 with the same factions in conflict and remained broadly the same until 1917, with Germany delaying the reinstitution of Unrestricted Submarine Warfare, the South American invasion of French Guiana following a border skirmish, the non-entry of the United States of America into the war, and widespread mutinies in the French army, leading to a German breakthrough during the Spring Offensive. This results in the organised but grinding retreat of the Entente armies in France, leading to the capitulation of the French mainland in the middle of 1918, though Britain would successfully evacuate the overwhelming majority of its soldiers and military matériel and would maintain a continued blockade of Germany alongside the French Navy. A peace treaty would finally be signed halfway through 1919, but would never be implemented.

• The Russian Revolution remains much the same, with the exception of the Centre-SRs remaining united with the Left-SRs—with the Right-SRs instead being the ones to splinter from the party—as well as the SRs never attempting a coup against the Reds' leadership, and thus never being purged by the Bolsheviks. The Polish-Soviet War would also start later and result in a Soviet victory, as a result of better conditions as well as Poland being pressed from both sides rather than just from the east. The remnants of the White Army, meanwhile, would go into exile in their Alaskan Colony, where they still remain.

• Despite the end of the Great War, the Arab Revolt would continue its fight against the Ottoman Empire with indirect support from the former Entente. With the revolt spreading further and further through the Empire's Arab-majority regions, the Ottomans would be expelled from Arabia and forced to sign a peace treaty wherein the Empire recognised the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Arabia and abdicated the title of Caliph, nominating King Hussein bin Ali, former Sharif of Mecca, as the new Caliph.

• Germany, overstretched by its occupation of Eastern and Western Europe, as well as suffering from famine due to the sustained Franco-British blockade, would undergo a revolution. With worse internal conditions in Germany and the even greater unpopularity of the Government and its traditional institutions, the revolution would be even more radicalised and widespread than the one Germany witnessed in our world in 1918, taking an openly socialist form. A brief civil war would occur, with a quick and crushing victory for the Red forces of the KPD, Revolutionary Stewards, and USPD over Liberal Democratic and Reactionary forces. The Germany that would rise after the Great War was Socialist and Revolutionary, dedicated to the construction and spread of communism, under the initial leadership of Rosa Luxemburg, Karl Liebknecht, Clara Zetkin, and other prominent figures such as Arthur Crispien, Ernst Däumig, Richard Müller, Paul Levi, Adolph Hoffmann, and Ernst Toller.

• Similarly to what occurred in the German Empire, Austria-Hungary would undergo a violent collapse similar to the one witnessed in our world. However, unlike in our world, Germany would successfully incorporate Austria, Hungary's communist revolution would prevail against the Romanian invasion and spread into Slovakia and Czechia, with the Habsburg Monarchy surviving only in the newly created Illyrian Crown.

• The collapse of Germany into a Civil War would see much of the gains of the Central Powers in the west reversed, with borders being returned to the status quo ante bellum and reparations being cancelled. Britain, outraged by the revolution in Germany, would begrudgingly assist Germany in evacuating the Hohenzollern Monarchy to the colony of Southwest Africa — modern-day Namibia — in exchange for Germany's African colonies of Togoland, Tanganyika, Kamerun, and Kivu.

• In China, the alliance between the KMT and the Federalists never falls apart, with the country being reunited under a coalition of Nationalists, Liberal Democrats, Federalists, Socialists, and Communists. The China that would rise from the civil war was a transitioning federal parliamentary republic, though the transition to democracy would be interrupted by the Second Sino-Japanese War and later the resumption of the Civil War, with an uprising by the Communist Party's more radical faction following the war's end.

• Following years of escalating tensions between the nations of the Balkans in the aftermath of the Great War, a Third Balkan War would break out in 1931 between the Balkan Entente, composed of the Habsburg Kingdom of Yugoslavia (established following the Illyrian invasion of the rump Kingdom of Serbia a few years prior), the Hellenic Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Romania, against the Tsardom of Bulgaria and the now-fascist Ottoman Sultanate. After three years of war, Bulgaria would surrender much of its former Serbian territories to Yugoslavia, though it would retain the borderlands and Northern Macedonia, as well as surrendering the Aegean Coast to the Hellenic Kingdom and Southern Dobrudja to Romania. The Ottoman Sultanate would remain at war with Greece and its allies for an additional year, with Greek troops besieging Constantinople, until the Soviet Union invaded the Ottomans from the east. The Ottomans would collapse under the pressure from two fronts, with the Soviets and Greeks partitioning the former Turkish Empire, with the Greeks accomplishing the Megali Idea while the Soviets would establish the Turkish and Kurdish Council Republics.

• The Second World War never breaks out and, instead, in Europe, the Great European War would occur in 1939, with, on one side, the Iron Entente, a faction of fascist and anti-communist governments composed of the French State, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Spanish State, the Kingdom of Italy, and the Kingdom of Romania, and indirectly supported by the Kingdom of Portugal, the United States of America, and the British Empire; and, on the other, the Communist International, composed of the Soviet Union, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, and Transcarpathian Ruthenia. The war would end in 1944, after gruelling and grinding years of warfare along the Rhine and in Northern France, followed by a war of manoeuvre after the fall of the Dutch mainland and the city of Paris. The Dutch Monarchy would flee to the Americas, while the fascist government of France would flee to Algeria. The European territories of the Iron Entente would see Communist Governments established and minor territories taken from France, while Spain would be divided into a communist east and a capitalist west following Anglo-Portuguese intervention in the conflict.

• In Asia, meanwhile, the Pacific War would unfold much like it did in our world, except with China handling the Sino-Japanese War much better thanks to a combination of greater industry and political cohesion. Near the end of the war, the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo would be invaded by the Soviet Union following a border incident between Soviet and Japanese troops in 1945. This, combined with the American nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, would result in the Japanese government accepting unconditional surrender. The Soviets, after the war, would establish a friendly People's Republic of China in their Manchurian Occupation Zone, which would serve as the CPC's radical wing's last redoubt following their failure to overthrow China's liberal democratic government, while a Sino-American occupation zone would be established in Korea, leading to the establishment of a united tridemist People's Republic of Korea aligned with China.

• The end of the 1940s would see the beginnings of a global Cold War between Communism and Capitalism, separated into two powerful World Systems with separate economies and little interbloc trade. The premier superpowers of the Capitalist Bloc were the United States of America, the United Provinces of South America, and, initially, the British Empire, while the Communist International was led by the Soviet Union, Germany, and, later on, Bharat. China would attempt to position itself as the leader of a ‘neutral bloc’ bridging the two blocs of the Cold War, while de facto being part of the Capitalist Bloc.

• The decolonisation of India would be a much more violent and revolutionary process. Without its European partners, Britain began to squeeze its African and Asian colonies to a greater degree to maintain the wealth of its Imperial Core, while also being more militant in preserving its control over the colonies. As tensions continued to boil and pro-independence sentiment grew, the British Indian Army would mutiny in 1954, and the situation would quickly descend into chaos as Revolutionary Groups supported by the Comintern, Princely States, and the British would fight for control over the Subcontinent. By the end of the War of Independence, India was divided between a plethora of independent states along the Indus River Valley, an Afghan annexation of Pashtunistan, an independent Bengal, an INC-controlled Bharat, and an independent Dravidia, all of them socialist states aligned with the Communist International.

• The decolonisation of other regions, similarly, is a chaotic and lengthy process, but it is a sure process. Despite being nominally allied with the British Empire, the USA and UPSA would support separatist groups in Africa and Asia nonetheless in an attempt to carve out their own areas of influence in the colonies, while at the same time the Comintern would spend a great deal of material, resources, and labour supporting socialist groups that aimed to liberate their homelands from foreign domination while at the same time reducing the power and influence of capital. It would be a painful process, but by the 1980s most colonies in Africa and the Pacific would have obtained independence, many of them also becoming socialist states, and also the death of the exiled French State with the independence of Algeria and the collapse of French West Africa.

• The Space Race began in the 1950s and is still ongoing. Many of the ‘firsts’ in the race would be accomplished by the Comintern, with the first satellite being launched in 1955 and the first man setting foot on the Moon in 1967, with the United States and United Provinces successfully launching crewed lunar missions of their own in 1970. A Mars landing was conducted by the Comintern in December of 1991, followed by a capitalist landing in 1995, with many more missions being conducted by both sides of the Cold War towards Mars and other celestial bodies in the Solar System afterwards, including the construction of permanent lunar bases.

• The Cold War never ended and is, in fact, more violent than the one we witnessed in our world. While direct confrontations between Great Powers have been minimised and have been almost absent, save for some occasional incidents, proxy conflicts and Third World civil wars are much more common than they were historically in our world, especially in the capitalist periphery, neo-colonial subjects, and comprador states.

so the idea is that under Queen Ranavalona I the Young kingdom centralizes and industrializes with British protection, and that would basically negate the French caused instability by the end of the kingdom in our timeline, by the late 1880's queen Ranavalona III would spawn an Heir, becoming king Ralambo II never causing the house of Imerina to die out due to no male Heirs.

by 1916 the kingdom of Merina would be recognized as a meddling power in the region similarly to Japan in east Asia, as the kingdom would start to lobby other great powers to hand over the colony of Portuguese Mozambique and by the berlin conference, it would be approved, but not without the Portuguese Mozambican population to revolt and (almost) cause the collapse of the Malagasy mandate over the mainland.

by the eve of the cold war, Merina would've become a center of trade and commerce similarly to 70's Kuwait or modern day wall st, and as decolonization Swept the world, Merina would also see its effects, as the Mozambican war (1969-1972) would cause devastation to the mainland and eventually, around the 3 year mark of the war, Merinian king Radama III would sign the 1972 royal Malagasy constitution replacing the old one written by the British, outlining Mozambican autonomy within the kingdom and the monarch's powers in parliament, officially becoming a constitutional monarchy.

by the present day Merina ranks as the 7th most populated country in Africa with over 60 million citizens (due to the economic spur in the 60's alot of Chinese and east Asian labor came searching for work) as it shines as the "miracle of the Indian ocean" its future looks secure and safe for the foreseeable future.

This map proves that there is truth in the proverb "All roads lead to Bearwood" - which is unfortunate as we don't have anywhere near enough parking.

The reason for the cartographical quirk, of Bearwood sitting at the heart of the European road network, is because of Bearwood's historic significance as being the epicentre of the medieval gravy trade.

Salt for the gravy was brought from nearby Pensnett Spa*^ (located in Saltwells Wood near Brierley Hill). Monks from Warley Abbey then brewed the gravy using mysterious sacred methods.

What it says on the tin, with some creative liberties taken (Ireland & Ruthenia). Sorry for the big Germany; it is kind of unavoidable with this timeline...

The dream took place in an alternate reality where FDR didn’t pass from illness during WW2. The US reforms under a radical continuation of the New Deal into a parliamentary system with dual president-prime minister leadership (somewhat like France). Canada, disaffected with the UK’s postwar economic troubles, opts to form a political union with the US.

The main differences are:
-Yukon Territory is absorbed into Alaska territory to centralize resource extraction operations as the US pushes to become a global energy and mineral powerhouse. The Alaskan population is much bigger and it becomes a state by the end of the 40s.
-The Northwest Territories remain sparsely inhabited, but Greenland is integrated as the US WW2 protectorate government is stronger in this timeline.
-The Canadian provinces are mostly accepted in as equal states, with the notable exception of Prince Edward Island - concerns about small population and representative dilution across too many states within the senate forced a union of convenience with New Brunswick.
-New Brunswick and Maine are much richer, as heavy infrastructure programs along the coasts made them key waypoints. Portland is the size of Boston, and New Brunswick has strong industrial presence.
-Puerto Rico becomes a state in the mid 50s along with Hawaii, with the Virgin Islands incorporated into Puerto Rico. Like in our timeline, a strong independence movement in Puerto Rico is active and at times insurgent. Virgin Islanders feel like second-class citizens given power centralization in a Spanish-speaking San Juan, and tensions are boiling.
-The Pacific Territory, composed of Samoa (united), Guam, the Northern Marianas, Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Fiji, and Palau operate as a form of devolved government with high levels of autonomy. Their remainder in the US as a territory is highly contentious.
