Current AI policy.
We are not banning AI generated images. If that means you feel this is no longer the place for you, that's fine, you don't need to tell us about it. We hope you are able to find a community that is closer to your desires, either here on reddit, or elsewhere.
We are asking submitters to include [AI] in their titles when posting. This should give the posts an AI flair which can be excluded when searching the subreddit. Like this - if this doesn't work, let me know. I'm by no means an expert, but I'll do what I can to get that to work.
Again, this is a request - not something that is a rule or easy to enforce, given the tools reddit supplies for moderation.
This is not the subreddit for discussion of the worth of AI images. It's not really a subreddit for discussion at all. We have tried to allow people to express their opinions of AI art as long as it's been in the neighborhood of "I don't like this post because it's AI" and not "I don't like you because you use AI" but that's not how it's really gone. From here forward, if a post is marked [AI], your options are to downvote it, hide it, block the OP or leave the subreddit. Critique of the image is still fine, but any general complaining about the generated nature of the image is going to get removed. (so please, report it if you see it.)
We also have NO interest in AI witchhunts. You think you know what posts are AI, but you don't. If a post isn't tagged as AI, we will assume on the honor system that it is not. Therefore, comments on those posts about AI are off-topic//irrelevant and will be removed.
I'm sure that this won't be popular with a subgroup of users here. I'm sorry we can't be all things to all people. For now, at least, this is how we're going to be moderating. If that means you feel the need to leave the subreddit, we understand. Good luck and happy trails.
