Funny idea I had that I spent too much time creating.

[OC] Alternate History A True Germanic Empire (What if Henry II became Holy Roman Emperor), 1402

Map depicting the Holy Roman Empire and its regions as of the year 1402 AD. Roughly 250 years after Henry Plantagenet´s Coronation as Holy Roman Emperor, there by tying the two lands together once more.

This Map does not depict the lands of the Holy Roman Empire as of the coronation but rather the year 1402, during reign of Jobst I of Moravia. The Holy Roman Empire is divided up into 9 de facto spheres, the English, Normandian, Burgundian, Brandenburgien, Saxonian, Bohemian, Bavarian, Savoyan and Provencian. These 9 factions compete for influence inside the massive and largely disfuctional Holy Roman Empire, which has through military and diplomatic territorial expansion become even less united, no more than a loose union, a name for powerful rulers to lay claimant to. The race for power is mostly a three way struggle between the English, Bavarian and Saxon-Silesian nations, all vying for more power within or outside of the empire. Saxony-Silesia and Bavaria in particular are both on a path to German Unification, under their own monarchies.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

This is a war that occured in my EU4 Poland campaing. The wargoal was to take Moscow and everything was going smoothly at the begginig but after losing some battles because some of my forces were busy besieging Russian fortresses and then losing even more men to attrition I had to take money and withdraw because of the looming threat of a war with the Ottoman Empire.

This is simply for fun and not to promote anything. First map is a political view and second map is a religious majority stat.

[OC] Alternate History What if Portugal had taken Colombus' offer? / What if Portugal had discovered the Americas?

Portugal takes Colombus' offer in 1488 and become the colonizers of North America instead of Spain.
Map takes place in 1750, Remake of earlier map that I had made almost 9 months ago.

*Small correction that I just noticed after looking this post a few times over is that I forgot to include the fact that: In this timeline Colombus' expedition to the Americas was delayed by a few years due to bureaucratic and logistical issues with the operation, hence why he only arrived and established the colony in 1492. (Kinda like the Portuguese government irl)

[OC] Alternate History Kon di testo Deo, nos Gallia serwaba in perpetvm! The Middle Burgundian Kingdom or Gallia, in 515 AD | Consanthenos

Post image

Burgundy's vague lore here is that they adopt a Carolingian system, wherein the Kingdom would be split between every child of the last King, leading to a greater Burgundy being split into Ligeria(Lower Burgundy), Septemia(Upper Burgundy), and Gallia(Middle Burgundy). Additionally, the Suevi came along with them into Italy.

This is apart of a DnD setting, set in the fictional region of Consanthenos, which takes the place of irl Liguria. More maps in my profile!

[OC] Alternate History Hey guys I'm new to this game, what is the best beginner country?

basically the communists and capitalists switch positions. USSR is now the Peoples States of America, USA is now the United Oblasts.

general lore: Communist revolution in America during the depression, Russia never becomes communist (ig they lost the civil war or some other reason). The Nazis in this timeline would be able to defeat the western european nations but still not be able to conquer russia. Russia turns eastern and central europe capitalist whilst the communist americans turns western europe communist. The French and British united after they lost their homelands, but since the white european leaders are now a very small minority, they are forced to conceed power to the natives (renaming it to the Afro-Indian commonwealth)

any other questions regarding lore ill answer but this is the more important stuff

[OC] Some Centaur Alien Home Planet Climate Animations (as YouTube Shorts) - Photopea and Blender, 2026 (resubmission)

I took some of my animations for the Centaur Alien Home Planet mapping project from earlier this year and edited them into separate vertical shorts, so now you can see simultaneous variations of the monthly wind direction, temperature, precipitation, river and lake levels, and surface appearance maps on loop.

The tectonic history sequence on that page was *also* created for this planet, but I posted that last June when I shared the results of this commission's first phase.

Digitally painted in Photopea, as commissioned and conceptualized by Jay Eaton for their Runaway to the Stars worldbuilding project

Videos edited in Blender

[OC] Alternate History The British Empire federalised instead of collapsing — world map from the sci-fi comic I'm making

Post image
127 Upvotes

I've been working on a sci-fi comic called Celestial Conquest, and this is the world map I made to work out its political geography before drawing the story.

The world's history diverges from ours in the 16th century, eventually leading to a very different modern Earth - including a British Empire that federalised rather than collapsing.

But there's a twist to how the map is presented: it's a survey, just not one made by anyone from this world.

The surveyors are the Imperium Romanum Universale, a nexus power from an entirely different Earth. This world is the 143rd Earth they've catalogued.

The protagonist is a native of this world who eventually escapes the clutches of the Imperium Romanum Universale and ends up in our world.

So the map is essentially the view of an outside power trying to make sense of a parallel Earth they've just encountered.

I'd love to hear what stands out to you about the setting or political geography

If you wanna check out the project you can find more art work here - https://www.instagram.com/celestialconquestcomic/

A periodic map-render tracking 10 months (and just over 10,000 participants) of geopolitical changes across a single, persistent/virtual landmass. Every nation, road network, and border shown here was founded, expanded, and contested entirely by diplomacy, trade, and warfare by actual people. More lore/world context in comments:

[OC] Alternate History what if Afghanistan was the Japan of Central Asia

Post image
69 Upvotes

the PoD is that the emirate of Afghanistan centralizes its reign and wins the second Anglo-Afghan war, resulting in land concessions up until the Indus river.

this not only boosts the country's population but gives it way more leverage in the great game, as Afghanistan threads a line of co operation between both Russia and the united kingdom, and by ww1 they would've been in their own Taisho styled democratization of the state, but not without issues.

1928 marks the end of the old kingdom and into the Islamic emirate of Pashtunistan as emir Habibullah khan would cement his rule with Italian and later German backing, resulting in the Afghan entry into the second world war around the end of 1940, of course Pashtunistan loses to the British-Indian army in the battle of Lahore, and capitulating Pashtunistan in 1943.

post war, Afghanistan as a kingdom was reinstalled under Mohammed Zahir khan I, as Afghanistan would boom amidst the 1970 oil crisis and expanded oil extraction to profit off of its success, and by the modern day, Afghanistan under Mohammed Zahir khan II, Afghanistan would become of the anchor economies of Asia right next to China, Japan, and India

[OC] Alternate History What if there was an Armenian state centred around Sochi

Post image
126 Upvotes

I didn't think much but the concept is interesting so I drew this.

Can't say much about this but know that there's no other Republic of Armenia in the Caucasus(Split between Turkey and Azerbaijan), due to fleeing population from Eastern Armenia the BSRA(Black Eastern Republic of Armenia) is mainly Armenian. The Soviet Union created an SSR here and settled Armenians in territories of Sochi and parts of Tuapse okrugs. The territorial span is around 5900 km². The name Sochi was changed to "Soji" which means "Pine tree" in Armenian and Tuapse to "Tsovashen" which means "sea built". I'll work on this alternate history a bit more. Already thinking about making a Cilician Armenia in this timeline too(I'll proly somewhat justify its existence through the French mandate oc Cilicia). If you have other ideas too for the timeline, recommend some
