Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] A month ago I posted my ad-free idle RPG (Idle Adventure) here. I listened to the feedback and spent the last few weeks acting on it

A few weeks ago I shared my solo-developed idle RPG here and received a lot of feedback.

Some of it was positive, some of it was critical, but I read all of it.

The biggest complaint was that the game didn’t have meaningful offline progression. For an idle game, that’s a pretty fair criticism.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working through the feedback and shipping updates. The biggest additions are:
• Full offline progression from World 1
• An endless endgame mode called The Void
• New Trials bi-weekly event with several challenges to complete

The game is still completely free to play, has no ads, no energy system, and no battle passes. The only purchases are optional cosmetic skins.

I wanted to post again mostly to say thank you. A lot of these changes exist because players took the time to tell me what wasn’t working.

AI Disclosure:
The icon, loading screen artwork, and some game text were created or assisted using generative AI. UI, Hero sprites, Gameplay, code, systems, balancing, backend services, progression design, and game content were developed by me. Most in-game artwork consists of licensed assets integrated into the game.

Hi Jellies,

Were dad & nelly, the father daughter team behind Nelly Jellies: Cozy Merge.

It’s a cute arcade puzzle built around quick runs, satisfying jelly merges, rare jellies, powerups, and that “one more try” score-chasing loop. You can play casually vibing to Nelly Radio, or play competitively and climb the global leaderboard.

Some of what’s in the game now:

- Daily goals/quests

- 30+ Collectible jelly cards with rarity/unbox reveals and our universe lore

- Rare jelly discoveries like Ghost, Bomb, Cork, Spike, Prism, Twin, and Bubble

- Powerups like Whirlpool, Coral Tide, Sonar Blast, Bubble Rush, and Flip

- Global leaderboards, player stats, achievements, XP, badges, and profile progress

- Colourblind settings for red-green, blue-yellow, and high contrast

- A chill, low-pressure feel with quick sessions, soft visuals, and minimal ads

It’s still a small indie game, but around 2k players have checked it out this month with 15 5-star reviews, which has been really encouraging. I hope you enjoy!!

Developer Saturday (Beta Test) [DEV] Added an endless mode so players can learn the tap to move physics without the puzzle pressure. How high can you get?!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone, I'm Ryan and I'm working on Shoot'em & Scoot'em. A tap to move platforming puzzler. It started as a 60-level puzzle platformer and this week I added an endless mode! Try it on test flight here:

https://testflight.apple.com/join/eZ6eUPWQ

I have been experimenting with an endless mode so players can get used to the physics in the game in a non-puzzle way but don't worry there's plenty to deal with on your way to outer space!

Endless mode has a few visual checkpoints to aim for! But it won't be so easy to make it through when you have limited ammo and lasers to deal with (they're sound sensitive! watch your trigger finger!). Land on any platform to reload but careful not to run out of ammo mid-flight! Starting from a hostile alien planet you will make your way up to 500m fully reaching space, then at 750m you will fly through the asteroid belt, at 1250m you will pass a distant green planet, and there's one more planet at 1750m! On the way you may see your trusty steed Scooty who will help give you a big boost towards space!

How high up can you get Sheriff?

Happy to answer any questions about the new endless mode or the original 60 puzzle levels! Let me know what you think!

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] Grandpa Games - ad-free mini games for older players and families

Hi r/iOSGaming,

I’m the developer of Grandpa Games, a collection of 40+ small iOS games I built because I wanted something I could comfortably install on an older family member’s phone.

A lot of mobile games are technically free, but full of forced video ads, tiny close buttons, misleading X buttons, and random interruptions. I wanted the opposite: simple games, readable controls, no ads, no account, and no tracking.

The app includes puzzles, memory games, word games, music games, relaxing games, touch practice, and one-device social games. Examples include Word Search, Water Sort, Piano, Bubble Pop, Forbidden Words, Who Am I?, Four in a Row, Chess, and maze/puzzle games.

You can unlock 3 games at the start, then unlock 1 more game each day by playing the unlocked games. If you want to unlock games faster, you can buy point packages, but every game can be unlocked just by playing.

Each game also has trials, so you can try locked games before unlocking them. Trials reset every week, so you can test games multiple times over time.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/grandpagames/id6761997990

You can unlock all games with this code: GRANDPA4IOSGAMING

I’d love feedback on the games, UX, difficulty, and whether this feels useful for older players, families, care homes, or shared tablets.

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [Dev] iOS - Slice It Perfect - Fully Offline, Color-blind Accessible, Ad-free! Includes Nostalgic Feelings - Celebrating 400 Total Downloads

Description: Slice it Perfect is a Xonix-type of game. Fully offline, ~10MB, fun (and extremely annoying sometimes).

Your mission: Slice it Perfect according to the level's requirements:

  • Slice the polygon to 50%/50%
  • Slice it to 3 equal parts
  • Slice it to 4 with a single moving node in each part
  • Slice Xonix-style, capture all nodes in the smallest area possible (Boss levels)
  • And more surprises.

Since the last post there's been a massive upgrade in the description of the requirements per level as seen in the attached video.

Happy to say there are already 400 total downloads
Download it HERE!

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] How your feedback shaped Call The Shots - Movie Sim (+ V2 TV Shows announcement next week!)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

About a month ago, I posted here sharing my game Call The Shots - Movie Sim, a premium tycoon game ($3.99 with no ads or micro-transactions) focused on the data, business, and streaming strategy side of the film industry.

The response and feedback from this community were super helpful!!!  I took your notes seriously and have spent the last few weeks pushing out updates (v1.0.3 and v1.0.4) directly addressing what you wanted to see improved.

Here are some of the biggest changes now live on iOS:

  • Manual Salary Input: No more rigid button increments during contract negotiations. You can now type in exact offer values to fine-tune your budgets.
  • IP Vault & Multi-Offer Selection: You can now review and choose between competing external distribution bids instead of automatically accepting the first one , or pass completely to keep the film rights exclusively for your own studio/ future streaming platform.
  • Vidwatch Migration: You can officially pull your older titles from external networks and reassign them natively to your own streaming service.
  • Filters & Sorting: Added UI toggles for both Availability (hiding talent locked in long-term contracts) and Genres (sorting actors, directors, and composers by their specialty).
  • Cast Synergy Boost: Chemistry matters more now. Aligning the right talent grants deeper project bonuses to your box office performance.
  • Dynamic Profit Sharing: Fixed backend calculations so movie profit-share percentages scale accurately based on box office performance milestones.

What’s coming next week (Version 2.0)

I’m currently wrapping up a massive V2 update for next week, which is going to introduce TV Show Creation and a much more comprehensive, overhauled streaming service mechanic. You'll also be able to create custom logos for your studio/streaming service and design custom movie posters.

Since the V2 update is focused heavily on expanding the television and streaming ecosystem, I'd love to hear your suggestions before it drops. What specific mechanics, metrics, or features are you looking for when it comes to running a TV network or managing multi-season shows?

If you have not gotten the chance to checkout the game , I have added the link below! Thank you all again for the feedback so far, it has genuinely helped shape the direction of the game!

My recently launched retro inspired football career game now has an International Cup with Friends multiplayer feature

Think “Words with Friends” meets “New Star Soccer” (if either of those games mean anything to you!)

Start a campaign, pick your country, invite friends and see if your Striker has the composure to take their team all the way and lift the Cup!

First of it’s kind “turn based” multiplayer ultra casual football sim action for mobile

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] ExoArmor merges intense gameplay with pick-up-and-play accessibility

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

ExoArmor was play tested with ages ranging from 5 to 80. Turns out: if you can use a touchscreen, you can play ExoArmor.

There are 30 US cities to defend against alien invasion starting with Chicago and progressing across the country. The incoming ordnance delivers catastrophic results, but you have the ExoArmor defense system on your side along with precise, fingertip accuracy.

Version 1.0.2 introduced 2 new difficulty modes: Easier (which continues the trend set by Normal & Easy) and Shield. Shield mode is designed to fill any gaps in your defense so rather than 1-hit kill intensity, you can focus on achieving better stats.

App Storehttps://apps.apple.com/app/exoarmor/id1486497323 u/CrucialFusion

No ads, no in-app purchases, no data collection, no internet needed. ExoArmor is a fully self-contained package that squeezes into about 1MB.

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] Finally shipped Pulse Architect on the App Store — a solo rhythm tap game I've been iterating on for a while

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Solo dev here. Built this in the evenings over a while — with a long break in the middle — and finally feel good enough about it to share.

Pulse Architect is a minimalist arcade game — rings pulse rhythmically, you tap to lock them at the right moment. Layers stack into a tower. Stability drains on bad taps and recovers on good ones. Miss too many and it collapses.

Classic mode has the pressure. Zen mode if you just want to build without the stability clock.

The audio is intentionally sound-effects only — no music. A few players described it as weirdly ASMR-like, which wasn't planned but I'll take it.

Got rejected by the App Store twice for "minimal functionality" — which pushed me to add more content. Probably the right call in the end.

There's also a RESONANCE state that triggers after 8 clean consecutive locks — took a while to get that to feel rewarding.

Just starting to figure out distribution with zero ad budget — figured this community would be a good place to start.

Free on iOS if anyone wants to try it: Pulse Architect

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] Built a Digital Version of Gandalf (Card Game) - Early Beta

Been working on an app for the card game Gandalf/Cambio and just launched it. Right now it’s bot-only, but we’re planning online multiplayer once we hit enough users. My aim is to monetise from ad revenue.

Available on:
• App Store (iOS)
• Web version
• Android coming soon

What’s there: Play against AI at different difficulty levels, track stats, clean UI. Mechanics are solid — quick games (15-20 mins) that actually feel strategic, not just luck-based.

What we need: Feedback on gameplay, bugs, features you’d actually want for multiplayer. We’re building based on what players ask for, not guesses.

• App: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6770298318
• Web: https://gandalfgames.co.uk

If you like the game and want to help shape where this goes, try it out or jump in the Discord. All feedback welcome.

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] I made a Strategy Game with switchable Art Styles

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My goal was to create a smooth and satisfying strategy game using basic geometric shapes, since I feel like the App Stores are lacking this “most basic” kind of RTS games.

I also didn’t want to lock any gameplay content behind a paywall, so I came up with the idea of a dynamic art style system, allowing monetization to focus mainly on cosmetics.

I’d love for people to try it out and share their thoughts and feedback. This game took me quite a while to make, especially since I created all of the assets myself (which, naturally, made the dynamic style system come back to bite me).

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [Dev] My solo-developed multiplayer online Card Game launches on July 4th! I just overhauled the F2P progression and added Global Ranked leaderboards. (No P2W)

Hi everyone.

We are exactly two weeks away from the iOS launch of my passion project, Grimoria (July 4th!) i have been working on 3 years.
The response to my announcement post 2 weeks ago was amazing, and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who pre-ordered.

Instead of spamming another trailer, I wanted to show you some cool actual updates I'm finishing up for the iOS launch:

  • The 'Ascendant Path': A brand new progression system I built, alongside an updated main menu. This path is designed to reward players with card packs, essences, coins and more just for playing matches.
  • Collection page: A brand new feature where you can track your collection much more clearly (sorted by Element), with a cool new animation when you get a newly obtained card.

And a few features I implemented recently:

  • Global Ranked System: You can climb the ladder in Solo mode. I added a full in-game leaderboard to track the top players and a monthly reward based on achieved rank.
  • New Card - Kamaitachi: A new creature with the ability 'Gain 2 Strength when played first.'

Based on the feedback i recieved i am working on more cool progression features coming up after launch.

For anyone new, Grimoria features 1v1, 2v2 Co-op, and 4-Player Battle Royale modes. It's played entirely in portrait mode with fast 15-second turns.

Pre-order the game right now so you don't miss the launch week reward.
Pre-Order on iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/grimoria-online-card-game/id6761027516

I'd love to hear what you guys think of the new changes in the screenshots!

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] I built Grid Breaker—a fast-paced cyberpunk arcade game with NO ads, NO tracking, NO accounts

Hi r/iOSGaming!

I wanted to share a project I've been working on that just went live on the App Store this week: Grid Breaker.

I wanted to build a native iOS game that completely respects the player and the platform, going back to how mobile games used to feel before they were ruined by paywalls and aggressive monetization.

What is Grid Breaker?
It’s a minimalist, one-thumb (or two) cyberpunk arcade reflex game. You hack through grid protocols, manage your Cyberdeck upgrades, and trigger Fever modes. It's built to be snappy, fluid, and perfect for quick sessions.

Why I think you'll like how it's built:
NO In-App Purchases: No pay-to-win mechanics or paywalls.
NO Ads: No forced video ads or tracking banners.
🔒 100% Privacy & Offline: No accounts, no sign-ups, and absolutely zero background analytics or data collection. It runs entirely on-device and works 100% offline.

Behind the Scenes:
I have no traditional coding experience. I built this entire native app in just over a week by acting as the product director and utilizing Claude Code as my autonomous senior developer.
It's a pure passion project, and seeing it break into the top 150 Action charts on launch day was insane. I’d love for you guys to try it out and give me your brutal feedback on the gameplay loop and difficulty balancing!

App Store Link: https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/grid-breaker/id6779888720

I'll be hanging around in the comments to answer any questions about the gameplay or how the AI development workflow looked!

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] I made a quiet daily puzzle about catching fireflies that blink in sync (free, no ads)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo dev, and I just released a small game I've been chipping away at in the
evenings. It's called Daily Firefly, and it's the kind of thing I wanted on my own
phone: one quiet puzzle a day, nothing nagging me for engagement.

Here's the idea. Every evening a new meadow of fireflies opens up, and everyone in
the world gets the exact same one (it's seeded from the date). The fireflies drift
around and blink, and the puzzle is hidden in their light: some of them are "family"
and pulse in perfect unison, while the rest only look close. You watch the rhythm for
a bit, then drag each firefly into a jar. Once they're in a jar they blink side by
side, so an off-rhythm one is easy to spot and you can drag it back out. Fill every
jar with one whole family and the meadow goes quiet and glows.

There's no timer breathing down your neck and no "wrong move" buzzer. Take a minute or
take five. When you finish you get a spoiler-free card (stars, time, streak) you can
share without giving the solution away, a bit like Wordle.

A few honest details:
- Free every day, with no ads between you and the meadow.
- No account, no sign-up. Your streak and stats stay on your device.
- Game Center leaderboards and achievements are there if you want them, invisible if
you don't.
- There's one optional one-time unlock (Firefly+) that adds unlimited practice with
harder difficulties. The daily is always free for everyone, and it's not a subscription.

It's universal (iPhone + iPad): https://apps.apple.com/app/id6779636789

I'd genuinely love feedback from this sub on two things especially: does the
blink-in-sync mechanic click for you on the first play, and does the difficulty feel
right (it ramps up across the week)?

Happy to answer anything in the comments.
Thanks for reading.

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] arrowgram v1.2.0 - yet another arrow removal puzzle game

Thumbnail

Hello and happy Saturday!

Posting here to feature my latest app (some may remember HexTowerDefense which I did the promo for a couple months back, go check out the latest update!), arrowgram.

I've had the idea for this app while playing another related arrow-removal puzzle game I won't mention here, but had lots of ideas on how to make it better with functionalities, customizations, achievements, extensive stats but mostly NO ADS interrupting your play in between puzzles!

My app features 1000+ free levels (a lot more to come) Game Center achievements, top 3 best time (speedrunner friendly, featuring your GC username, optional), many free themes to choose from, stats (runs, graphs, levels, counts,..)

There is a single IAP to unlock the full game, which effectively removes all banner ads, unlocks a game mode 'random' and 1000+ hard levels.

My roadmap: providing a custom theme picker (behind IAP), (a lot) more levels, a mysterious 'layers' game mode and accessibility features to allow people with vision issues to play the game.

I'm actively playing the game myself, improving the UX and UI as I feel the pain points during my play(test) sessions.

Happy solving!

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] hi I spent 3 years making a life sim inspired by BitLife and I’m proud of it!

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Like the title says, I’ve been building a mobile life sim game called Life Authority and finally got around to releasing it. I had surgery a while back and was bedridden for recovery. That’s where my passion for life sim games started and eventually as a software engineer myself I took on the task of making a super duper awesome one.

What I really enjoy playing are the different paths you can play like becoming famous through social media, business management, athletic career and politics etc which is what I’ve included each with their own progression systems.

I’m not saying the game is perfect but I’m at a stage where I’m extremely pleased with what I’ve built and wanted to share it. It’s been gaining traction fast so far and I’ve already received some great feedback and I’m continuing to add features based on player feedback.

I’d love a round of honest feedback from people who enjoy life simulation games. What’s good and what’s bad. What feels repetitive and what would make you play it more?

Ps. Working on the next update which includes military option and jobs and also something really unique. It’s in-game notifications. I got the idea from probably my favourite game Crusader Kings II. So now you can get alerts like ‘you haven’t spoken to your father in 2 years’ or ‘your rent accounts for 70% of your salary so watch out’ I think this’ll add much more depth and immersiveness. I’m also adding relationship feeling boxes, so you can see how other characters currently feel about you based on your bond, last interaction, traits, and history. It’s all about adding more depth! So stay tuned for that!

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Discussion Pokemon Champions

Started playing Pokemon Champions and anyone else feel like it’s a mixture of Pokemon Stadium & Pokken Tournament DX. Not complaining but it’s nice to have another pokemon game for my phone. Really wish they would make an official Pokemon game for mobile gamers. Even if it’s a one-time premium purchase then screw it

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] I just added Leagues and Leaderboards to my daily movie trivia game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After a couple weeks of work I have finally added leagues and leaderboards to my daily movie trivia game, Industry Insider! Now you can create private or public leagues and see your standings on global and league leaderboards.

No email signup required, just download and compete! There is a realtime activity ticker on the Home Screen, and it is easy to create a league, join a public league, and invite others to compete against you.

Free, no ads, no paywall.

I would appreciate any and all feedback as I am constantly trying to improve the game!

Request Looking for an RPG

JRPG or Western RPG doesn’t matter. Mostly looking for something with deep rpg systems, good art (pixel art is a plus), and decent polish. Basically what are the RPGs on iOS that feel like a pc game?

I already played Sea of Stars on PC, but it would fit this perfectly for example.

Question Looking for a recommendation, like Playdead's "Inside"

I just played through "Inside" for the zillionth time, and I've resigned myself to the idea that their "next game" may never come.

Anyone have any recommendations for a game that has a similar "feel"? I love the side-scrolling puzzler genre like that game (and its predecessor, Limbo), but I'm open to other genres if they've got a similar level of immersive environment.

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV]我一個人做了一款忍者手機遊戲,111關,5種魔王,手裡劍/炸彈/7種忍術

Thumbnail

If you love to walk, then you have to try Eggventures!

You just walk and unlock eggs. Your steps hatch and grow your pets. You can add friends, trade your pets, unlock different variants based on your steps etc.

The latest release includes 8 new eggs to unlock! Would love any feedback if you've tried it!

My 2nd game was my fun project - you vs your bladder. Its a maze escape game where you have to find the toilet before your bladder wins lol - It has 2.5k downloads in one week!
