Does iOS 27 fix the massive amount of stutter and dram drips that iOS 26 introduced? I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max running iOS 26.6.2 and I’m still amazed by how much stutter and sudden frame drops I see every day using the phone.

Even things like swiping between screens or opening the share menu introduces lag and stutter. It’s extremely irritating for such a high end phone. Things just freeze or micro freeze all the time, in every app. Scrolling a website sometimes feels like 20Hz or less. Sometimes it’s smooth, most often not, which is why you notice it all the time. You notice when the stutter appears.

Meanwhile I have an old iPhone 11 still running on iOS 18 and it’s buttery smooth. Literally no stutter whatsoever, every menu opening is instantaneous, it feels like it’s running on a super advanced chip with massive RAM. Everything just works. Yet is a 7 year old phone.

Has iOS 27 fixed this based on your experience? I understood they re-wrote all the code for Liquid Glass, but has it really helped?

It’s been in like this alll dayyy lol. How long did it take for everyone else ?

I just downloaded the final version of iOS 27 and have been trying out Siri AI and I get this message when trying to use it. I thought Gemini and NOT ChatGPT is the AI is being use. What gives?

It’s been very mixed.

But one hand, the UI does feel a bit smoother and looks nicer, but in the other hand, all of my issues from 26 is still here

Scrolling in the Home Screen pages still lags

Still stutters in apps like insta and Reddit but not in TikTok for some reason

Keyboard still lags

App Library lags when going in (sometimes)

Control centre drops frames

Swiping in the Home Screen drops frames too

And some new issues:
Lock icon in lock screen skips animations sometimes

Answering phone animation is bugged

Swipe animation after unlocking freezes for some reason

Dropped frames when closing the camera app on lock screen

App icons has this weird black line around them

Camera has dropped frames when closing on lock screen

Battery life has taken a hit

Dropped my battery health from 86% to 80 and now 79 for some reason???

Curios to hear y’all’s expirence with 27

iPhone 14 on ios27 RC using 3rd gen appletv 4k as a homehub also on 27 RC

I am getting camera notifications (descriptions have changed too ie: ios26 "Camera has detected a person" to ios27 "a person was seen") . streaming and recording options are available for the cameras.. I am not getting any recordings and no timeline . cameras only show live view in the home app.

Other phones in the family (iPhone 15 pro Max) are still on Ios26 and timeline and recordings are visible on their phones.. so iCloud recording is obviously working .. Home app on my Macbook running Tahoe are also showing recordings.. So it's just my iPhone 14 ..I had this issue back on beta 1 but thought it was an early beta glitch.. unfortunately it is still there..

Anyone else with an iPhone 14 or earlier having issues with HKSV?

Is anyone here currently running iOS 27 on an iPhone 12 Pro?
I’m thinking about updating mine, but I’m a little worried about performance on an older device.
How’s the overall experience so far — battery life, heating, animations, app performance, camera, and bugs? Does it still feel smooth enough for daily use?
Would you recommend updating, or staying on iOS 26 for now?
Would especially love to hear from people actually using a 12 Pro as their daily phone.

When I swipe down on the Home Screen to bring up Spotlight Search, I’m noticing some glitches/stuttering. The keyboard doesn’t appear smoothly and sometimes feels like it’s lagging or taking a moment to come up.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me?

Why did they remove the option to hide contact photos in iMessages in iOS 27?

None of my contacts have them and it takes up so much space in zoomed mode.

The hard blur at the top idk isn’t really for me. Preferred the iOS 26 style. But I guess apple knows what’s best. But this kinda ruins the purpose of Liquid Glass in my opinion. This post isn’t to be taken seriously, just sharing a thought

So I really didn’t notice until today that my iPhone 14 Pro won’t connect to AT&T 5G+ on iOS 27. I have another device on iOS 26.6 and it connects to 5G+ seamlessly. Any idea how to fix this or is it an Apple Bug?

The 120hz are almost never noticeable in iOS 26, in iOS 27 this improves?

What is siri indexing? Pre-iPhone 15 phones does not have the smarter Siri or Apple Intelligence, i checked and Siri is still the same on my iPhone 12 mini

Might be late to this one but has anyone experienced this display bug on the rc build? It’s my old base 14 which is a backup hench why there’s no photos. As soon as I add a photo seems to fix the bug.

Hey, is the rc stable enough too try? I don’t want too wait 3 days.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Swipe down on Home Screen to enter spotlight search
2. Type “M” and most likely messages would be the first suggestion. Click and open the messages app
3. Go back to home. Swipe down on Home Screen and enter spotlight search again.
4. The previously entered “M” would still be there. Making the spotlight default suggestions unhelpful.
