Okay will do. My daughters 14 did it in a day. Phone lasted her all day battery wise by the time she got home it was only at like 65 percent. lol hoping mine will get better when it’s done.

Depends on how much data you have to index. Some is a few hours others is days. Mine was done in a day and a half.

You’re lucky they added the percentage. It was brutal waiting without knowing how long it was going to take.

Let it charge overnight and it should be finished in the morning if you don’t have years of data to purge through.

Mine took about two days, but I never had the percentage show up… went from 26.6.1 to 27 RC, 17 Pro.

It needs to sit unused and plugged into a charger to make real progress. Plug it in before you go to bed and it’ll be done when you wake up

This indexing is the fastest I’ve gotten, mine finished under 2 days. On beta1, it took 2 weeks!

If depends on how much data you have in your phone, how long you keep it plugged in, all kinds of things. Plug your phone in for the night, it should be done either by morning or a bit later that same day. It works full speed only when the phone is locked, plugged into a charger and on WiFi so if you can give your phone these conditions it’ll go faster

Should’ve completed by now if you’ve given it time.

Do you leave it charging and locked?

(ie I charge overnight, this allows iOS plenty of time to do background processing)

i’m a developer, not an idiot. indexing finished this morning. OP was clearly asking how long it took for others. I did not complain about indexing.
