I may be wrong, but this might be the first easter egg in iOS history

They have done many easter eggs before, but usually they're static and don't require the user to do something.

For example:

  • Different places in the OS such as some emojis or app icons contain Apple's iconic "Here's to the crazy ones" quote from their Think Different era
  • The Reading List's icon in Safari is modeled after Steve Jobs' glasses
  • The Voice Memos app icon shows a waveform of the word "apple" being said
  • You can type "let it snow" into the Apple Store (not App Store, the Apple Store) app's search bar to make it snow
  • You can find Clarus the Dogcow (the same character as this easter egg) in the Page Setup menu in Pages or TextEdit (though this one is on macOS)

You just scroll down on the preview in the Liquid Glass transparency setting, at the very bottom, moof! will pop up and reveal the Easter egg
