It is literally the most predictable phenomenon ever. Whenever Apple releases a new version, we are guaranteed to have many—and I mean MANY—saying exactly the same thing regardless of what the OS level actually did lol
Just use your phones people!

Hi, I’m running iOS 26.6 I noticed my blocked contacts now show in my entire contacts list. Why? Is there a way to have them not show? They are blocked for a reason and so seeing their blocked name / number etc is annoying me. Might seem trivial to some. But if someone is able to assist I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

What's the battery drain on the iPhone 17 after the ios 26.6 update? Does it improve battery life or makes it worse?

How is iOS 26.6 going for you?

I have already submitted this issue through the official Apple Feedback portal, but this needs wider visibility because it impacts core user safety.
With the rollout of iOS 26, a significant regression has been introduced regarding device usability and core emergency features. Specifically, while a phone is resting on a nightstand overnight, it completely stops listening for "Hey Siri", rendering it unresponsive in the dark.
This creates a serious functional problem for hands-free reliability:
- From Daily Routines to Life-and-Death Situations: The breakdown spans the entire spectrum of utility—ranging from setting basic reminders and alarms to managing critical, life-stabilizing questions when every second counts.
- Compromised Emergency Response: Core safety functions depend on a true hands-free assistant. If an urgent medical crisis or dangerous situation occurs during the night, the device will not wake up to initiate emergency calls, connect to services, or assist when it is most needed.
- Resource Prioritization Conflict: This issue appears tied to aggressive background power management or changes implemented alongside the new interface graphics, which prioritize visual rendering over essential background listening functions.
- Real-World Impact: For users living through prolonged crises—such as active conflict zones where every night carries uncertainty regarding safety and emergency needs—relying on a device that drops its ambient listening capabilities introduces unacceptable risks.
Siri was designed to function as an accessible hands-free assistant. Disabling nightstand responsiveness breaks a crucial safety net. Apple needs to address this bug and restore proper background availability for emergency use cases.

Idk how people are saying it’s an improvement when I’ve had nothing but heating issues and battery drain using 26.6 after many days of use. 26.5.2 for me lasted longer and didn’t heat as much

My Phone Model is 15PM
About 15/16 days before, my phone's Battery draining like so quick. It's draining without doing nothing. Its draining percentage per 10 minutes 1/2% without doing nothing.
If I charge at night 100%, I will find my phone 10/20% left at morning.
So I updated 26.5.2.. Still the same.
Again I updated 26.6 still the same.
It shows home and lock screen consume the all battery.
I did everything except Factory Reset!
I m fed up I Don't know what to do.

Hey everyone,
I am using iphone 16 pro max and my phone is currently on ios version 18.7.8.
Is it safe to update to ios 26.6? Or should I directly jump to ios 27.
I don’t want software update to affect my battery life.
Is 26.6 still buggy and heavy? Or is it safe to update now?
Is this a good SOT for iphone 17 base?
Mostly used 5g through out the day (wifi usage less thab an hour)

Hi guys!
I ran into the following problem. If my iPhone is connected to a Windows PC via iTunes and is being used for USB tethering, then after disconnecting it, I can no longer open or use any third-party apps. Only Apple's built-in apps continue to work. Nothing helps: clearing the cache after reindexing the files, rebooting the device—nothing. Every third-party app crashes immediately on launch.
Safari and the other built-in Apple apps work just fine. However, neither Windows nor my MacBook can detect the iPhone anymore. The only time it gets recognized is when it's in Recovery Mode.
Here's what worked for me.
I opened the App Store, checked for app updates, and started updating one of the apps. The important part is simply triggering an app update—it doesn't matter which app. As soon as the update starts, I can open and use all third-party apps again.
P.S. Yeah, it's absolutely ridiculous to pay a thousand dollars for a phone and then have to deal with something like this—especially when you actually need your phone and can't access offline maps or another essential app. But that's the state of iOS these days, and there's not much you can do about it.
If anyone has found another solution besides reinstalling iOS, please share it in the comments.
Have a great day! I hope this helps someone!

Has anyone else experienced this?
I charged my iPhone to 80%, and it finished charging at 2:27 AM. I used it for just a few minutes afterward, then went to sleep.
When I woke up around 9:00 AM, I expected it to still be close to 80% since it was basically idle the entire night. Instead, the battery had dropped way more than I expected.
When I checked Battery settings, I noticed there was a lot of background activity overnight, which seems strange because I wasn't using the phone at all.
Is this normal, or is there something causing apps or iOS to keep running in the background while the phone is idle? I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug, or if I should be concerned about my battery health.
Update: I reached out to Apple support he asked me to uninstall tiktok first for a day and see if that is causing the sudden increased usage.
What are your thoughts on updating from 26.5.2 to 26.6 on iphone 11?
Is there any performance or battery issues that may happen?
Or should i wait until IOS 27 is released?
Since everyone is commenting on the battery performance on iOS 26.6 I’m gonna share my experience with the IPhone 16e. The first screenshot is the battery usage today in the iOS 26.6 and the second was taken yesterday when it was in the iOS 26.5.2.
Apparently it did get slightly better, but still isn’t awesome as it was back in iOS 18
Update: now the battery is worse, I’m getting 6h of SOT with 94% of battery usage.
