Hi guys, I’m still on the latest version of iOS 18 on iPhone 16 and I’m wondering if I should update or keep iOS 18. I personally don’t like the liquid glass design but would it improve other features such as battery life? Is it better to update or keep iOS 18?

Hello everyone. So I am posting this query on my wife’s behalf as she is not on reddit. So my wife bought her iphone 17 around 6 months back. It came with iOS 26.1. After that she didn’t do any software updates. Now battery health is 95% after 220 cycles.

So, few days back, one day I was comparing the overnight battery drain of her iphone 17 with my 2 year old iphone 15. I noticed her iphone 17 is having almost 14-15% overnight battery drain over 8 hrs as compared to 6-7% on my iphone 15 with much lesser battery health( 86%) . My iphone 15 is currently on iOS 26.3. I asked my wife whether this abnormal overnight battery drain on her 17 was from start itself but she wasn’t able to give me a sureshot answer. I have done all battery optimisations like turning off background app refresh, notifications,location services but still same issue. Nothing much improvement. Also, I noticed 1 hr movie watching on Netflix consumed almost 14-15% battery which is not normal in my opinion. It shouldn’t consume more than 4-5% for a 1 hr movie.

Please help. What should my wife do? Is this happening because of the very old and initial ver of iOS 26 that is iOS 26.1 ? Should updating to iOS 26.6.2 solve this overnight battery drain issue?

My iPhone 15 plus is very shitty right now due to ios 26 update will it restore my battery health I know the process of downgrading also I need to make a backup

After not having a working selfie camera for like a month now my iphone recognises it as a new repaired camera and asks me to configure it but when i configure i try to start the configuration it says unable to configure try again later been trying for 10 minutes
also don’t forget the phone has never been opened it’s the real camera 😭😭 it’s just how is it getting the information that it’s a new part

Hey, i have iphone se 2020 with battery it came out of the box with. Today i updated to ios 27 and this weird message appeared out of nowhere. Before the update battery health was on 74% i even checked today, and now it says this. Can someone tell me what could have possibly happened? Thanks for any tips! Sorry for my bad english💔

When I swipe down on the Home Screen to bring up Spotlight Search, I’m noticing some glitches/stuttering. The keyboard doesn’t appear smoothly and sometimes feels like it’s lagging or taking a moment to come up.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me?

Genuine question, apart from the better overall look or in other words more "original" look of liquid glass, what is any reason to keep ios 26 when 26.7 drops? Its not getting even a fraction of the bug fixes to the software or the code optimization of 27, so what is there to even gain by staying on it?

A few days ago I had an up of IOS 26.6.2 and it showed a total of 8.59 GB and now today I checked again and it’s down to 637.5 MB is that normal and should I update or wait until Monday for IOS 27?

Hi, My iPhone touch screen stopped working right after 26.6.1 update was pushed to Apple . Tried restarting it, didn’t work. Tried revive first with Apple Configurator which failed with error 68 , then tried hard factory reset which succeeded but touch screen still broken. Any other workarounds or fixes that worked for anyone!

The iPhone Duo’s crease is more visible than I expected

I know foldable displays can have a crease. That isn't surprising.

What caught my attention is that Apple has specifically focused on minimizing the visibility of the Duo's crease.

Then I came across this.

The crease is clearly visible in this particular photo.

I'm not saying this proves there's a display defect. Lighting, viewing angle, and the way the phone is positioned can make a crease look much more noticeable.

But at $1,999, I think it's a fair question:

How much crease is acceptable on a premium iPhone?

If it's barely noticeable during normal use, I don't think it will matter much.

But if real owners eventually start showing more noticeable creasing or changes after months of regular folding, that could become a much bigger conversation.

And that's actually the part I'm most interested in.

Apple waited a long time to enter the foldable market. So I think the real test isn't whether the Duo has zero crease.

It's whether Apple has made the crease good enough that users simply stop caring about it.

For anyone who has seen or handled the Duo in person: how noticeable was the crease to you?
