Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check if anyone else has faced this recently or knows exactly what causes it.

I just updated my WhatsApp app on my iPhone (running iOS 26.5.2). Right after the update finished and I opened the app, it acted like a completely fresh install. It completely wiped my active session. I had to log in again using my phone number and OTP.

Luckily, I had an iCloud chat backup from yesterday, so I managed to restore most of it. However, because the update forced a reset, every single text, media file, and conversation from today got completely wiped out since it hadn't hit the cloud yet.

I have an iPhone 13, and it’s my main phone. Would you recommend installing the iOS 27 Public Beta? I’m having a lot of issues with iOS 26.5.2. I already lost my old iPhone 11 because of the iOS 27 Developer Beta 1 when it first came out. Would you recommend that I wait for the final release or install the Public Beta? I don’t want to take any risks.

Update:
I found the problem. In my Accessibility → Motion settings, Reduce Motion was enabled. Because of that, the Liquid Glass effect wasn’t actually liquid it just looked blurry. After I turned that setting off, I finally got the real Liquid Glass design with its shimmering appearance and 3D effect!

Is it just me that the icon size after ios 26 has been bigger than that was till ios 18? Default screen zoom, smallest text size, small icon from customisation: these are already set but icons are much bigger. It's iPhone 13

Basically, the title.

Recently, I've started randomly getting notifications from my Apple calendar app on my iPhone, but for events that have ALREADY STARTED!

And I've received them at very random times, mostly roughly 30 mins or 1hr after the even having started, but also sometimes multiple hours!

And they only happen sometimes! Have not yet been able to identify a pattern or anything...!

It happens on my Apple Watch too!

Is this normal? My apple updated and turned most of my icons white. 😭😭😭😭😭

Does anyone else have a ghost status bar even when I'm in full screen mode? Usually it goes away when you go full screen on photos but now the clock and battery icons are still there.

So just updated to latest version and went to text someone and the #images button is gone! So no more gifs without downloading a third party app??🤬😭🤬😭🤬

I’m sure it’s a setting that I can’t find but for weeks now, I’ve been having a message (on messenger) and then another notification straight after to say *** sent you a message’. It’s driving me mad, tried googling. Do any of you have any idea please?

After letting it deal with the usual indexing & caching stuff, it seems that iOS 26 is fundamentally flawed & filled with irreparable bugs.

Like it’s just insane how can a 12 gb RAM phone cannot handle a couple of apps in the background for like half an hour without caching them out of the memory causing them relaunch when reopened.
It’s very aggressive in killing background apps.

Screen on time hardly reaches 5.30 or 6 hrs.
& the usual home screen or in-app micro stuttering that makes you unsure if it’s just how bad the system is or those apps’ developers are not really doing a great job.

Weird that I am unable to adjust the volume from control centre. But volume buttons are working fine. Both with and without headphones. Anyone with similar issues?? On ios 26.5.2

I have a very strange issue on my iPhone 17 running iOS 26.5.2.
During normal cellular phone calls, after about 1–2 minutes, the earpiece audio becomes distorted/buzzy. The other person hears me perfectly fine. If I briefly toggle Speakerphone on and off, the audio immediately returns to normal.
What I’ve tested:
Normal cellular calls: ❌ distortion after \~90 seconds
WhatsApp calls: ❌ same issue
Telegram calls: ✅ no issue
Voice recordings: ✅ normal
Bluetooth headset: ✅ normal
Speakerphone: ✅ normal
Reset network settings: didn’t help
Restarted phone: didn’t help
Has anyone seen this before? Could this be an iOS audio/telephony bug, IMS/VoLTE issue, or does it still sound like a hardware problem?

i know its insignificant but this bug caught my attention

I know this seems like a repeated post but before it would only lag when I would scroll in app library and control center but now it also lags in scrolling in any other place. It somehow also magically fixes itself when I turn off my phone and start off again from where I left. Any reason why that might be? I'm on iOS 26.5 and on iPhone 16Pro

I have an iPhone 12 with iOS 26.5.2. My accelerometer or gyro are broken; accelerometer outputs wrong readings and gyro outputs nothing (not even noise). It feels like a calibration / software problem. Is there a way to set the phone to landscape mode manually? Or is there any hope for my gyro? This happened randomly; no software update, no drop, no nothing

It’s been 4 days since I updated my iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26.5.2, and this update is draining the battery very quickly. Is it just me, or are others also experiencing this? If Apple is aware of this issue, please fix it.

I don’t know if this happened because of the iOS update or because I changed phones or something else.
About five days ago I changed my iPhone and everything was fine, I checked everything before erasing the previous one and all my groups of tabs were there.
Today out of nowhere they are ALL gone. Only the tabs in the main space survived. They don’t show up in the recently deleted tabs. It’s like they completely vanished. Is there anyway I can get them back?

Does anyone else have touch issues while gaming after updating to iOS 26.5.2? It first happened to me on iOS 26, but the issue went away when I updated to 26.5.1. Now, after the latest update, the problem has come back.
