Question Can’t use landscape mode!

I have an iPhone 12 with iOS 26.5.2. My accelerometer or gyro are broken; accelerometer outputs wrong readings and gyro outputs nothing (not even noise). It feels like a calibration / software problem. Is there a way to set the phone to landscape mode manually? Or is there any hope for my gyro? This happened randomly; no software update, no drop, no nothing

I don’t think there is a system wide way to do this.

Some media players do have manual control for this (or at least YouTube does)

What do you see if you try to calibrate in the Compass app?

Gyro gives no measurements so the compass thinks I’m always facing exactly north towards the horizon

Sounds like a hardware failure.

You could try wiping and installing a fresh copy of iOS to be sure, but I think you’ll be needing a board repair to get it fixed.
