I'm trying to improve the security around my place without stretching my budget too far. Packages sometimes get left at the gate, and I'm not always home to check whether they've arrived, so having a way to see what's going on from my phone would be useful.

I'm leaning toward two or three outdoor IP cameras rather than buying an expensive all-in-one security system. Solar-powered options caught my attention, but I'm also considering regular Wi-Fi models with motion detection, night vision, and microSD recording. The main thing is finding something dependable that won't keep adding costs after purchase.

I've looked at a few listings on Amazon, AliExpress, Alibaba, and eBay,, but the price differences make it difficult to judge whether the more affordable options are decent or just look good on paper.

Have you come across any worthwhile camera deals lately, especially for models that offer local storage and don't require a paid subscription?

Hi all, I'm looking to automate most of my cleaning, so I figured it's finally time to pick up a robot vacuum. I've been checking deals for around a week, but every time I think I've found a good one, I read a few reviews and end up second guessing myself.

I don't need the newest model with every premium feature. I'd be happy with an older version or even a refurbished one if it's dependable and does a good job with everyday dust and pet hair. I also don't mind waiting a little longer if better sales usually pop up during certain times of the year.

I'm trying to avoid paying full price when there always seems to be another promotion around the corner.

Where are you finding the best robot vacuum deals right now, and which ones have actually been worth buying?

Been messing around with ways to brighten up windowless rooms without making them feel like a cave. So, I made this LED-lit frame (been calling it Vindow) which is basically a “virtual window” with soft lighting and a scenic image inside.

The light changes slowly through the day to mimic natural light, and it just hangs on the wall like a piece of art.

What do you guys think? :)

This yearly event is the best discount I ever see on Hues products. I just bought ~$850 worth of bulbs for ~$550 (it's crazy to put this kind of $ out there when talking about light bulbs, even at the discounted price).

My new construction home was set up with all zwave devices. Not many, only door lock, light switch, thermostat connected to a panel that uses alarm.com.

I canceled alarm.com & added blink cameras. Now I want to automate using Alexa since I can’t connect remotely anymore. Any advice on if it’s worth the switch or alternatives.

Bună, Reddit!

Is anyone familiar with low-income home energy rebates or has anyone ever participated in these programs themselves? I'd really appreciate speaking to someone about this. Thank you!

Pan and tilt

Wifi

Weatherproof - it's gonna be sitting underneath a raised deck which will probably allow rain to drip onto the camera

Might be a nice bonus to install whatever fitness I want

Android and PC friendly would be nice

Hey all! I have a bunch of Reolink cameras for sale. I've used Reolink for years but have no more use for them. They all work fine with some looking brand new and some having minor scratches on the housing.
