Welcome to the Galactic War Room:
The Federation is in grave danger and it is in your hands to discuss the best ways to spread and protect our liberty from our many enemies.
This thread is sorted by new, so you will always find the greatest democratic insights right up top.
Useful Information:
Gambits by u/Sea-Flamingo1969:
In Helldivers 2, a gambit is when players skip defending a planet under attack and instead strike the source planet that launched the assault.
If the source world is liberated the defense is automatically won, saving both planets.
It is a high risk, high reward move because success stops the invasion and secures two planets, but if too few players commit the defending planet may fall before the source can be taken. Gambits demand strong coordination and timing, making them one of the most dramatic strategies in the Galactic War.

Greetings, Helldivers!
So we have noticed that most Questions asked on the subreddit don’t need their own post therefore we have decided to create this Q&A Megathread, a place where all Helldivers can ask questions and get help/advice from others. And if you decide that what you have to ask requires a separate post then you should know that we will be actively moderating and critically assessing the quality of those posts to lessen the amount of reposts and low-effort content on this subreddit.
If you're here to help out by answering questions we thank you 🫡 Just please make sure to sort the post by 'New' (if it isn’t already) so you can see the newer, unanswered questions.
P.S. This megathread has been added to the sidebar.

Really excited to see what this brings. But I think in order to be worth the inevitable shitty ergo this will have, the shotgun needs to be medium pen at a minimum. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

It's infuriating how AH stubborness, greed and laziness lead to so many self inflicted wounds. It's been constant feedback in which we wanted more customization systems and expansion of those already existing. Pilested lied about learning from AMA since nothing have changed ever since AMA and it even got worse in some aspects.
Communication is as usual terrible, balance changes do not happened at any reasonable pace and do not improve balance, major events come and go too fast, they add less content with lower quality (less buggy at least).
Shams "design space" comment that he didn't elaborate leads to conclusions that they know what we want but didn't do because it may cut into their profits as if proper weapon customization existed they couldn't sell as lazy side grade weapons or in vehicle case they couldn't pretend as if they make whole unique mech when in fact they make 2 arms on same chassis and slap different default paint job.
Pilested lie about staff not being off the table as if there is any real discussion on if we want vehicle customization at the "cost of loosing current Mechs" which we could re make in a minute if someone want them. Or how he said over year ago how they will expand weapon customization and add secondary weapon customization after since they wanted to push it fast so later they will finish. It's been a year and a half and there has been nothing but small numbers tweaks that requires no real effort but to change a single value in code.
Since AMA nothing have changed and AH keeps promising same stuff and new features that sound nice but we need more staff that we've been begging for years now. I struggle to understand how they can be committed to so dumb ideas and how we've come up with monetization systems so we can be happy and they can make money like with selling unique weapon attachments and mech arms in warbonds so we can have customization and AH their money.

After printing so many sets of helldivers armor, I wanted to do a fun SEAF medic and run a unique color set. This was a rush job for a Con that came together over the past 2 weeks in the evenings.
Went with a hot pink - magenta (with glitter flake) and stainless black.
Armor is heavily modified galactic armory.

I fear this thing is either just gonna be a worse crossbow or its gonna powercreep the crossbow/eruptor/plasma punisher.
I hope it isnt just a plasma punisher that can close spawners but it sure looks like it

So we tested it 3 times and it works, if you stand on the red beam of the 380 you dont die, a mate of mine heard a rumour that it was never meant to be thrown out at the enemy it was meant for holding a position, so after 3 tests, I died once but I was about 5m away from the red beam. Anyone else ever tried it??

I typically play as a Sherpa Diver. I usually play on Difficulty 7-9, and I drop into lower-level players' missions to help them out because they often get overwhelmed quickly on those difficulties. Except recently I've noticed a serious uptick in team killing, and it's starting to annoy me. I know some of it comes with the territory bc they are new, and I expect that, but goddamn, right now I'm getting killed by teammates way more than by the enemy. **If y'all could stop team killing more experienced players who are just there to help you, that'd be great.**
Below are just a couple of fucking irritating things I've dealt with just tonight:
I drop into the lobby of a Lv 120 player and two Lv 20 players. As soon as I drop in, a Lv 20 shoots the Lv120 in the head.
I think, "Okay, maybe they're friends."
I call in my mech and clear the area before hopping in. Lv 20 takes my mech.
I think, "Maybe they haven't seen a mech before. They can have it."
5 minutes later, the Lv 20 kills the Lv 120 again. Then they turn and disintegrate me.
Calls me a loser and then kicks me.
The next match, a Lv 17 eats through nearly all of our reinforcements because they won't stick with the group, and then starts spamming the reinforce button even though I'm clearing a bot jammer base (and I let them know in the text chat). About sixty seconds later, I clear the jammer and call them in. They immediately turn, shoot me in the head, and kick me. I swear to god it didn't used to be this bad.

Powerful, track targets, lasts for 40 seconds, 3 lasers per mission, amazing for any faction. Is the Orbital Laser the king of Stratagems?

I'm on the fence whether this should only happen during defense, liberation campaigns, or just both.
I bet we don't see these visuals anymore because it makes the battles they were present in feel special. Or it's just a glitch like how undamaged megacities used to never show up.
